You have all 16 badges, you have completed your Pokedex (give or take Mew and Celebi) and you have defeated the Pokemon League. But even after you have done all this, the game still has one last challenge for you...
Ash, aka Red, is definetly the hardest trainer in the game.
All of his Pokemon are at Level 73 or higher, and they're in peak battling form.
Ash's/Red's Pokemon Team
Pikachu | Lv81 |
Espeon | Lv73 |
Snorlax | Lv75 |
Charizard | Lv77 |
Blastoise | Lv77 |
Venusaur | Lv77 |
Red is hidden away in the depths of Mt. Silver, but before you even try to challenge him, make sure that at least 3 Pokemon in your party is at LV 70 or higher. The most useful types are Ground, Fighting, Bug, Ice, Electric and any other strong Pokemon you may have.
Pikachu may be his highest Level Pokemon, but with a high level Ground Pokemon using ground moves he can be defeated in 1 or 2 attacks. For Espeon use your Bug Pokemon. Alternatively you could use an Umbreon as your extra Pokemon, which works very well here. Next comes his trickiest Pokemon: Snorlax. It's high defense, combined with it's Rest ability, makes him very hard to defeat. Your Fighting Pokemon needs some good attacks that can take him out in the 2 turns he spends sleeping. Use your Electric Pokemon for both Charizard and Blastoise, and then your Ice for Venusaur.
Your main concern in this battle should be surviving their attacks, which can really throw a Diglett in your works. You have only truely beaten the game after you have defeated Red. So, get your party together, and good luck!
