There have been loads of great Japanese cartoons. Pokémon, Yu-gi-oh, Digimon etc. But many people believe that Yu-gi-oh and Digimon are just rip off’s of Pokémon. And Being a fan of yu-gi-oh! And Digimon, as well as Pokémon. I disagree. Because they are three different stories! And yes I admit Pokémon and Yu-gi-oh! Are similar. But that doesn’t mean it’s a rip off! Here I’ll explain the stories of Yu-gi-oh! and Digimon.  And you be the judge!

Digimon

Digimon has it’s 4th series airing in Japan now. And it’s completely different to Pokémon! Since in Digimon they are trying to save the real and the digital worlds. And instead of choosing and catching different monsters like they do in Pokémon, they are assigned partners. Also they only have one partner each. (And to all you Digimon know-it-all’s out there, I do know that Willis had two Digimon in the movie!) Also when the Evolve (Digivolve in the TV. show!) they turn back to there original forms. I wont tell you all the different stages and the different types of Digivolve right now! Unlike Pokémon were they stay the same. And in the 3rd season they use the cards to help their Digimon! Let’s see that happen in Pokémon!

Yu-gi-oh!

Okay as far as I know there is one season so far. And I’m not as good with Yu-gi-oh! As I am with Digimon and Pokémon. Anyway this is the basics on Yu-gi-oh!. In Yu-gi-oh there are three different types of cards. Monsters magic and trap. These help you in the monster duels. And when you win you get some star chips. When you have enough star chips, you can enter the Duel list Kingdom. The TV. Series follows the adventures of Yugi and his friends as they try and become duel list masters. Each has their own reason for doing this. Yugi’s is to free his grand father from the clutches of Pegasus. And to win the prize money. There are also millennium items. As far as I know they help you to duel. The items are the millennium eye, the millennium puzzle and the millennium ring.

Okay there is the facts! See if they are Pokémon rip off’s or not! And if you believe hype and your friends, and aren’t watching Yu-gi-oh! And Digimon because of them reasons. I suggest you watch an episode of each and give them a shot!
