Clefairy is one of the many Pokémon that evolve by Moonstone.

One major annoyance in RBY was the immense lack of Moon Stones. The lack of stones in GS doesn't matter as much since you can trade to RBY, but how do you get past the Moon Stone ration? Amazingly, there is a way to do it.

Set out your team like this:

• Clefairy/Jigglypuff/Nidorino/Nidorina
• Exeggutor
• [Any]
• [Four]
• [Other]
• [creatures]

Go train anywhere. It doesn't matter how, but without changing the order, level-up your Moon Stone prevolution. You can do it using traditional methods, you can switch in Exeggutor, or you can switch in one of the other four. When the prevolution levels up, it'll evolve!

Please note that this is NOT a rumor, it has been confirmed. Test it yourself using a :L10 Clefairy and the Elite Four if you are skeptical. Trust me - I wouldn't post anything if I wasn't 100% positive it worked.

• Tell us any others!

There are also some hidden Moonstones that will require you to use your Itemfinder to find. Here is the ones that are known:

• Pokemon Mansion, on one of the columns on the right row on the floor you start on
• Iron Shanty tells us that in Mount Moon, just before the Super Nerd, just before the corridor on the right, there is a hidden moonstone on the dead end.
