Only a few new evolutions here, nothing really worth catching. Lots of trainers here, and once you jump down the first ledge, you'll have to battle at least two of them to even return to Cerulean safely. You can pick up TM30 here. This route connects directly to the first part of Route 10.

Only one trainer here that you can currently reach, and it shouldn't be too tough, considering there's a Pokecenter just before it. And you'll need it to get through Rock Tunnel. You can catch a Machop, Magnemite and Voltorb here, and go through Rock Tunnel (after which we've got a small part of Route 10 left). Later, when you get Surf, you can also reach the Power Plant here. More on that when we actually get that far - we've still got a long road ahead.. and one of the most annoying parts of it will commence now. Make sure your Pokemon are ready (Escape Ropes can come in handy here), and you might want to have a Pokemon that knows Flash with you. If you haven't noticed yet.. I hate this bit.

Rock Tunnel. I hate this place. An annoying cave, where you must have Flash or you won't make it through. Zubats you can't flee from. Lots and lots of trainers. And zero items. The way through here is pretty easy, just follow the caves, and you'll find the way through. Let's just hurry through. When you get out the cave, winded and all, you'll still see some trainers. You can avoid most of them, and I recommend that you go to the Pokecentre first, and beat them afterwards. The trainers shouldn't be difficult, especially not with a grass or water Pokemon, it just wears you down. Let's just go on, okay?
