Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald Other Pages: Mt Pyre |
The haunted tower of Hoenn is located on Route 122; just West of Lilycove City. It’s a definite visit for the game. You’ll first visit it to kick the crap out of Team Magma/ Aqua, only to find they’ve escaped with the Red/ Blue Orb. Blah, blah, blah- you know all about that. But even after defeating Team Magma/ Aqua, you definitely need to visit Mt. Pyre again.

Mt. Pyre is home to an exclusive Pokemon: Chimecho. But we’ll come to Chimecho in a minute. Firstly, you’re probably dying to know what items you’ll find in Mt. Pyre. Ok, maybe not dying to know, but your bound to be curious. On your travels you can find:

Sea Incense and Lax Incense are pretty important items in the game. Have you ever wondered why your two Marills won’t produce an Azurill? Or why your two Wobbuffets won’t produce a Wynaut? It’s because Sea Incense doesn’t just improve Water attacks when held, and Lax Incense doesn’t just lower the Opponent’s Accuracy when held. One of your two Marills must be holding the Sea Incense to produce a baby Azurill. The same way as one of your Wobbuffets must be holding the Lax Incense to produce a baby Wynaut. The answer as to why they have to hold these items lies somewhere in a rusty treasure chest inside Nintendo’s office.

Anyway, there are two different routes to explore on Mt. Pyre- you can explore the graves inside and climb the actual mountain outside. The inside is so easy to climb that if you can’t do it I suggest you stop playing computer games altogether before your brain dies of exhaustion. There as 6 floors in total, and any old fool can follow and path and take on a few battles along the way. When you have climbed as far as you can, then you need to fall down a couple of holes to get to some items. Piece of cake really.

The outside is just as easy to negotiate yourself around. Simply follow the path around, go through the patches of grass, and pick up a few items. Once you’ve got through what appears to be some doors (it’s just after the smoke appears), you’ll arrive at the Mountain Summit (yes it is important you know that you’re in a different part). It’s at the Mountain Summit that Team Magma/ Aqua are, that the two Orbs are, and where Chimecho is.

You can ascend the tower without battles; I did so with my new Ruby. Anyone know a boy called BAZZER who is the main character?
