How To Catch Mew :: Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald Emerald-specific Stuff

It's finally happened. The little darling was found as a glitch on the original games (RBY), but trading restrictions stopped you from getting him onto your newest games. Alas, there is now a solution. But with every solution, there comes a slight problem.

The good news is, that Mew is indeed in Pokemon Emerald. The bad news? You'll need another ticket to get 'im.

After obtaining the bloody ticket, the rather kind Ferry person will take you to a new island. Simple climb the hill (which is a rather simple maze of bushes) you'll reach the door (pictured). Go through, and voila, you'll see a wild Mew.

Now, we always knew Mew's were playful creatures. This particular one likes Hide and Seek. All you have to do is follow Mew into the grass (you won't meet any other wild Pokemon), find Mew and press A on it. Now and then, Mew will stick it's tail up to annoy you, yet also give away it's current position.

Eventually, you'll find Mew. It's Level 30, so shouldn't be too hard to catch. Just don't use anything extremely powerful against it. Mew knows Transform, remember.

u can trade it 2 ur newer games..well it workd for me..see i had it 4 ruby nd i wanted 2 trade it 2 pearl well wen i finaly had the last pokemon 2 look for it was mew and i couldnt find it till i searchd in the grass 4 about an hour or so i swear den he jus migicaly apeard..i thot he was never gna sho up but it did..weird..it could be a glitch
