Unova Daily Events

Zzz... Hm? Wha...? You woke me up! Will you check the clock for me? What time is it? What? MORN 10 o'clock? How many minutes? Whoa! 00 min.? MORN 10:00! I overslept! Oh, the day of the week isn't set. You mustn't forget that! You could be finding a rare Jellicent if it's a Thursday, or getting your paws on some... no I know that's not what the script says but.. oh sod it..

Anyway, introduced in Pokémon Gold and Silver, there are many happenings across the Pokémon region that are dependant on which day it is. These events are widespread, occurring right from the beginning of the game and even after you have defeated the Elite Four. So, you ask me, which days do what kind of events occur on? Castelia City - GameFreak Battles Requirements - Defeat the Elite Four Once you have defeated the game, you will be able to battle two members of Gamefreak inside their HQ in Castelia City. Both trainers possess powerful and high-levelled Pokémon, so be wary of them. They can be rebattled daily, with no changes to their roster occurring. Rival Matches!
Driftveil City - Rival Matches Requirements - Defeat the Elite Four & Win all previous encounters After you have beaten your Rival in Undella Town, he will retreat to his final place in Driftveil City, specificially in the old Team Plasma's house where he is trying to make amends for the events transpired. He will challenge you to a match, and can be rebattled once a day; fantastic for levelling Pokémon up using. Cynthia Match!
Undella Town - Cynthia Matches Requirements - Defeat the Elite Four Once you have defeated the game, you can find Cynthia in Undella Town during the Spring and Summer months. Here she will challenge you to a match, and she can be rebattled once a day during the Spring and Summer months. Gym Battle - Striaton City!
Striaton City - Gym Matches Requirements - Defeat the Elite Four Found in Striaton City, the former Gym Leaders Cilan, Chili and Cress will be waiting for you to approach them. Upon doing so, each of them will offer to join you in a battle against the other two in a standard Doubles MultiBattle match; each Gym Leader having access to three Pokémon each. Colress Battle!
P2 Laboratory - Colress Battle Requirements - Defeat the Elite Four Once you have defeated Team Plasma, you will find that their Frigate has docked at the P2 Laboratory in attempt to show that they are trying to reform. On the bridge of this boat you will find Colress, holding some very powerful Pokémon in his arsenal. Royal Unova!
Castelia City - Royal Unova Requirements - Defeat the Elite Four Once you have defeated the Elite Four, you will have access to the Royal Unova which docks at the Cruise Deck in Castelia City. Every evening between season-specific times, you will be able to enter the boat and challenge the various trainers on board to a battle. Nimbasa City - Ferris Wheel!
Nimbasa City - Nimbasa City Ferris Wheel! Requirements - Defeat the Nimbasa Gym Leader Defeat the Elite Four Once you have defeated the Nimbasa City Gym Leader, you will find that outside the Ferris Wheel every now and then will a trainer appear wanting to battle you. They will challenge you and then ride the Ferris Wheel with you (something about love at first fight apparently..), with the option of rebattling a different trainer each day. However, this won't always happen and will depend on your gender and the season. You won't always find a trainer there, sometimes you will find an important character stood there waiting for you. After you have defeated the Elite Four, important characters will make regular, scheduled appearances; you will encounter your Rival on a Tuesday, Bianca on a Wednesday, N on a Friday and Cheren on a Saturday. And possibly Craig David on a Monday wanting his song back.						back to top
Nimbasa City - Sports Halls!
Nimbasa City - Nimbasa City Sports Halls! Requirements - Reach Nimbasa City During the day, the sports halls in Nimbasa City will open their doors and you will be able to battle a number of trainers that can be rebattled on a daily basis. Black City Market - Items!
Black City - Black City Markets! Requirements - Defeat the Black Tower Once you have reached Black City and defeated the Black Tower leader, the markets will open up once again and begin selling items to you. There are four different stalls all selling evolutionary items, but with a catch. Unfortunately they will only sell you one item per stall a day, and they are chosen at random so you could be waiting a while before they sell the item that you want.	Item		Description			back to top
		Dawn Stone	A peculiar stone that makes certain species of Pokémon evolve. It sparkles like eyes.
		Dubious Disc	A transparent device overflowing with dubious data. Its producer is unknown.
		Dusk Stone	A peculiar stone that makes certain species of Pokémon evolve. It is as dark as dark can be.
		Fire Stone	A peculiar stone that makes certain species of Pokémon evolve. It is colored orange.
		Metal Coat	An item to be held by a Pokémon. It is a special metallic film that ups the power of Steel-type moves.
		Protector	A protective item of some sort. It is extremely stiff and heavy. It is loved by a certain Pokémon.
		Thunderstone	A peculiar stone that makes certain species of Pokémon evolve. It is colored yellow.
		Upgrade	A transparent device filled with all sorts of data. It was produced by Silph Co.
White Forest Market - Items!
White Forest - White Forest Markets! Requirements - Defeat the White Treehollow Once you have reached White Forest and defeated the White Treehollow leader, the markets will open up once again and begin selling items to you. There are four different stalls all selling evolutionary items, but with a catch. 		Deepseascale	An item to be held by CLAMPERL. A scale that shines a faint pink, it raises the Sp. Def stat.
		Deepseatooth	An item to be held by CLAMPERL. A scale that shines a faint pink, it raises the Sp. Atk stat.
		Dragon Scale	A thick and tough scale. Dragon-type Pokémon may be holding this item when caught.
		Kings Rock	An item to be held by a Pokémon. It may cause the foe to flinch when the holder inflicts damage.
		Leaf Stone	A peculiar stone that makes certain species of Pokémon evolve. It has a leaf pattern.
		Shiny Stone	A peculiar stone that makes certain species of Pokémon evolve. It shines with a dazzling light.
		Water Stone	A peculiar stone that makes certain species of Pokémon evolve. It is a clear, light blue.
Twist Mountain - Fossils!
Twist Mountain - Twist Mountain - Fossils Requirements -Obtain the National Pokédexw Once you have received the National Dex, you will find inside Twist Mountain a Fossil Hunter. Here he will give you one fossil per day, fossils of Pokémon usually native to Kanto, Hoenn and Sinnoh. Unfortunately, it is entirely at random which fossil he gives you, but if you save before you approach him you can always soft-reset your game until you get the fossil you want. 		Dome Fossil	A fossil of an ancient Pokémon that lived in the sea. It appears to be part of a shell.
		Helix Fossil	A fossil of an ancient Pokémon that lived in the sea. It appears to be part of a seashell.
		Old Amber	A piece of amber that contains the genetic material of an ancient Pokémon. It is clear with a reddish tint.
		Claw Fossil	A fossil of an ancient Pokémon that lived in the sea. It appears to be part of a claw.
		Root Fossil	A fossil of an ancient Pokémon that lived in the sea. It appears to be part of a plant root.
		Armor Fossil	A fossil from a prehistoric Pokémon that lived on the land. It appears to be part of a collar.
		Skull Fossil	A fossil from a prehistoric Pokémon that lived on the land. It appears to be part of a head.
Route 5 - EV Reducing Berries!
Route 5 (Unova) - EV Reducing Berries Requirements -Reach Route 5 Upon your first venture onto Route 5, you will find a Pokémon Breeder who will offer to sell you some magic beans. I mean, magic berries, specifically the ones that will reduce your Pokémon's EVs. She will sell 5 of a random berry each day for 200.	Item		Description			back to top
		Pomeg Berry	A Poffin ingredient. Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly, but it also lowers its base HP.
		Kelpsy Berry	A Poffin ingredient. Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly, but it also lowers its base Attack stat.
		Qualot Berry	A Poffin ingredient. Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly, but it also lowers its base Defence stat.
		Hondew Berry	A Poffin ingredient. Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly, but it also lowers its base Sp. Atk stat.
		Grepa Berry	A Poffin ingredient. Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly, but it also lowers its base Sp. Def stat.
		Tamato Berry	A Poffin ingredient. Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly, but it also lowers its base Sp. Atk stat.
Route 8 - Weather Rocks!
Route 8 (Unova) - Weather Rocks Requirements -Reach Route 8 As you enter Tubeline Bridge from Route 8, you'll find by the entrance a Parasol Lady. Kind as she is, she will give you one of the hold items to prolong weather, but the item she gives depends on the time of the day you approach her at. Fantastic.	Item				Time	back to top

Swarms!
Anywhere - Swarming Pokémon Requirements - Obtain the National Dex Introduced in Pokémon Gold & Silver, Swarms make a return to the games in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Activated after you've received the National Dex, a Pokémon outbreak will occur on one route per day at random. To find out where the outbreak is occurring, simply wander into the gatehouse between two routes, as in Black & White, and you'll find the route given on the ticker in the background. Castelia City - Massages!
Castelia City - Massages! Requirements -Reach Castelia City! Upon reaching Castelia City, if you wander down the street where you find the Pokémon Gym, and wander into the building directly opposite, you'll encounter a character who'll give one of your Pokémon a massage. This massage will increase your Pokémon's happiness, perfect for trying to help evolve certain species. However, she will only give one massage a day.						back to top
Castelia City - Ice Creams!
Castelia City - Ice Creams Requirements -Reach Castelia City (Spring/Summer/Autumn only) Ever fancied a Pokémon Ice Cream? No, neither have we, but if you travel across to the Mode Street of Castelia City, you'll be able to buy one from the parlour there. It isn't limited by day, and thankfully you don't ahve to wait in a queue for it. As in Black & White, the Casteliacone basically acts as a cheaper Full Heal and will cure any of your selected Pokémon's status problems.						back to top
Castelia City - Art Gallery
Castelia City - Gallery Requirements - Reach Castelia City Down the Mode Street of Castelia City you'll find yourself surrounded by buildings that you can enter. If you enter the top right one, you'll enter the Art Gallery, perfect for those Pokédates where you're trying to impress! But for those of us who have far too much to do than to fraternise with the opposite sex, if you wander up to the Clown there, you'll find that he's requesting to see a particular type of Pokémon each day. If you show him that Pokémon type, he'll be delighted and give berries to you in thanks. How kind!						back to top
Castelia Sewers - Healing Items!
Castelia Sewers - Healing Items Requirements - Reach Castelia Sewers Wandering around sewers is definitely not good for your health, which is exactly why they've slung a lab down there and left a mad scientist to work. Thanks to her success in her tests, she'll give you an item at random each day which correspond to Pokémon healing, such as Potion's and Antidote's. You should definitely not have any second thoughts about taking medicine from a strange woman in the sewers.. nope..						back to top
Virbank City - PokéBalls
Virbank City - PokéBalls Requirements - Reach Virbank City Outside the Gym will you find a gentleman who, out of generousity, will give you a one of the different varieties of Pokéballs each day. These are random, and you do have a chance of getting some of the more powerful and successful Pokéballs which will come in very handy at the beginning of the game where you first encounter him.						back to top
Driftveil City - Heart Scales
Driftveil City - Heart Scales Requirements - Reach Driftveil City Like in Pokémon Black and White, you'll find a woman in Driftveil City who will request you bring a Pokémon to her who can show off a particular move. If you do so, she will give you a rare Heart Scale for your efforts. This can be done once a day, but come in very handy as they're payment for the Move Relearner.						back to top
Icirrus City - Quiz!
Icirrus City - Quiz Requirements - Reach Icirrus City In the Northernmost house of Icirrus City lives a gentleman who simply must quiz you. Get the question right and he'll give you an Antidote, but if you get it wrong you'll receive a Parlyz Heal. I think I'd prefer the last one myself..						back to top
Humilau City - Mienfoo Walking
Humilau City - Mienfoo Walking Requirements - Reach Humilau City. Why on earth it's a Mienfoo and not something closely resembling a dog such as a Growlithe, I'll never know, but in one of the houses there you'll encounter an elderly woman. She'll insist that you walk her Mienfoo, and simply will not give you an option to argue with her. It is worth accepting and walking around the house a few times before talking to her again and she will give you a Pearl as payment for your efforts. This can be done once a day.						back to top

Opelucid City - Musical Props Requirements - Reach Opelucid City I say, would you fine speciman like to get your hands on some of those Pokémon Musical Props? .. No? But they're free? .. still no? Tough, you're having them, and if you come back tomorrow I'll give you five more. This is how we imagine the dialogue would go if PKMN.net had any say in the translation, but.. if you do want to get your hands on some Pokémon Musical Props, head to the bottom left building in Opelucid City and there you'll find a man who gives them away. Striaton City - Mushrooms Requirements - Reach Striaton City We'd normally not advertise any strange men giving away any Big Mushroom, but our lawyers insist that it's okay for us to do so in this case. At the north of the restaurant in Striaton City you'll find a man who wants to give you a task. He'll send three Pansear out on stage, and you'll have to track the one he mentions as it moves across stage. Get the right Pansear and he'll give you a Big Mushroom. Get it wrong and it's game over for you.. at least until tomorrow when he asks you to do it again.						back to top
Pinwheel Forest - Fighting Rock!
Pinwheel Forest - Fighting Rock Requirements - Reach Pinwheel Forest If you take a Fighting Pokémon to the south-east of Pinwheel Forest, you'll come across a rather large rock in the middle of a clearing. Interacting with the rock with a Fighting Pokémon in your party will result in it giving out a Star Piece, which can be sold at PokéMart's for high prices. Striaton City - Stunfisk Outbreak
Striaton City - Stunfisk Outbreak Requirements -Reach Striaton City Every night, you will be able to see an outbreak of Stunfisk in the Striaton City area as they come onto land. They aren't battleable and thus not catchable, however, much like the Slowpoke in Azaela Town.						back to top
Village Bridge Fishing Contest!
Village Bridge - Fishing Contest Requirements -Gain the Super Rod After you've spoken to the Fisherman at the east exit of Route 8 (Unova) and gained the Super Rod, he will retreat to the Village Bridge where he will provide you with a daily challenge for a Pokémon to capture whilst fishing. Capture the Pokémon and show him it to receive a Dive Ball as reward. This can be done once a day.						back to top
Join Avenue
Join Avenue Requirements - Activate Join Avenue For more information on Join Avenue, please visit our page on it here; As your Join Avenue grows larger and becomes more populated, you'll be allowed to buy items from the stores there once a day. You can only buy one item per store per day, so it's worth keeping your Join Avenue in mind as you go through a list of your daily events. Accumula Town - Pokémon Size
Accumula Town - Pokémon Size Requirements - Reach Accumula Town In the north-eastern house in Accumula Town, you'll come across two musicians, one on the drums and one on the piano. If you talk to the person near the piano, they will give you a request; to show them a large or small Pokémon, specifying the species to help you on your way. If you come back with that Pokémon, they'll give you an item as thanks for your efforts; a Pokedoll if it's a small Pokémon he wanted to see, or a Fluffy Tail if it's a large Pokémon.						back to top

Nacrene City - Café Warehouse Requirements - Reach Nacrene City The trainers and characters in the Café will change once a day, usually at random. However, if you continue to talk to them you may receive gifts and/or battles. In addition, the chap who owns the Dirty Handkerchief item will be present for you to return the item to him. If you do so, you can speak to the waitress on the following Sunday to receive a Fluffy Tail.						back to top

Anville Town - Item Trades Requirements - Reach Anville Town Day : Saturday & Sunday Every weekend, the characters at Anville Town will change with the new characters happily offering to trade items with you. They'll give you a request, usually a number of an easily-sourced item such as Antidotes and Burn Heals, and will trade you rarer items in exchange. Handy, like.						back to top

Anville Town - Lost Property Requirements - Reach Anville Town Day - Saturday & Sunday Each weekend in Anville Town, there will be a gentleman who will gift you an item based on your progress within the Battle Subway, although the requirements are currently unknown. 		HP Up	A nutritious drink for Pokémon. It raises the base HP of a single Pokémon.
		Protein	A nutritious drink for Pokémon. It raises the base Attack stat of a single Pokémon.
		Iron	A nutritious drink for Pokémon. It raises the base Defense stat of a single Pokémon.
		Calcium	A nutritious drink for Pokémon. It raises the base Sp. Atk stat of a single Pokémon.
		Zinc	A nutritious drink for Pokémon. It raises the base Sp. Def stat of a single Pokémon.
		Carbos	A nutritious drink for Pokémon. It raises the base Speed stat of a single Pokémon.
		Elixir	It restores the PP of all the moves learned by the targeted Pokémon by 10 points each.
		Full Restore	A medicine that fully restores the HP and heals any status problems of a single Pokémon.
		Max Revive	A medicine that revives a fainted Pokémon. It fully restores the Pokémon's maximum HP.
		Rare Candy	A candy that is packed with energy. It raises the level of a single Pokémon by one.
Route 4 - Wild Mandibuzz
Route 4 (Unova) - #630 Mandibuzz Requirements - Black 2 Only - Reach Route 4 Days - Thursday Found behind a house on Route 4, you'll be able to find the normally rare Mandibuzz on Thursdays only. This Mandibuzz will have it's Hidden Ability of Weak Armor, and can be found at Level 25. The nature is not set, meaning that you can soft reset to your heart's content to get hold of a good one. Route 4 - Wild Braviary
Route 4 (Unova) - #628 Braviary Requirements - White 2 Only - Reach Route 4 Days - Thursday Found behind a house on Route 4, you'll be able to find the normally rare Braviary on Thursdays only. This Braviary will have it's Hidden Ability of Defiant, and can be found at Level 25. The nature is not set, meaning that you can soft reset to your heart's content to get hold of a good one. Undella Bay - Wild Jellicent
Undella Bay - #593 Jellicent Requirements - Reach Undella Bay Day - Monday & Thursday Undella Bay is home to a Jellicent, but there are some differences as to what you'll find between the two games. In Black 2 a Male Jellicent will appear there on Mondays, but in White 2 a Female Jellicent will appear there on Thursdays. Both have the hidden ability Damp, and will be found at Level 40.
