James wants to come up with a strategy but Jessie just doesn’t feel like doing anything. Then a big flood tide comes by which blasts Team Rocket off as under the ground something is moving around.

That morning, Ash is excited and wants to train badly as Lotad passes by and he washes his face. May and Max brush their teeth as Brock and Torchic are preparing breakfast. Ash then starts the training with all of his pokemon and starts to focus. Ash says it’s important to concentrate during battle and wants to sense the waves. May is impressed with Ash’s excitement and wonders if Ash is really focusing on his training. Max is doing laundry as Foretress dries the laundry. They really wonder if he’s training since it seems like he’s doing nothing but Brock asures May and Max that this will calm Ash down during a battle since he was too busy during the Dewford Gym Battle. A big wave then appears and Taillow becomes hyperactive but Ash tries to calm Taillow down. Another big wave comes by and they just wait till it comes closer and at the last minute, they want to run away but they are too late and they’re splashed by the big wave.

But May and Max aren’t happy with Ash’s training since they have to do all the chores now which makes Brock laugh. Then another wave drops by as Ash and co run but Treecko remains sitting but it’s too late and it’s overrun by the water. May comments that practise will make Ash improve which angers Ash and tells her to do the same. Max agrees with Ash and May says she has worked on her performance for the first round and comments it’s all about the entree. She shows how she and Wurmple and Torchic show themselves but Torchic runs off and Wurmple shakes its body. May tells them this is not how they planned it and gets a bit angry. But Brock and co tell her she can’t use two pokemon at the same time and that it’s also important to train the battle skills and Brock wonders if elegance will work. This shocks May but she’s certain things will work out fine but then the tent starts to move and they start chasing it.

Ash lets Pikachu use thunderbolt but Brock stops Ash saying that there are valuables in the tnet. May then tells Wurmple to use string shot an dit works. Wurmple pulls the strings but it’s being pulled away. Treecko jumps up in the air and comes to Wurmple’s rescue. They pull together but still the pokemon is too strong. Ash and co also help pulling but in the end they all land in the water. As Ash brushes off his dirty clothes, they all look at the destroyed tent. They think about what kind of pokemon could do this and think about Diglett, Krabby or Aron. Brock is certain that this pokemon will return and Ash is more determined to catch it. May isn’t happy with that idea and becomes scared but Ash’s new mission to find the mysterious pokemon and catch it, which May doesn’t feel like doing right now.

Team Rocket landed back on the beach and wonder who did this. Wobbuffet pops out of its pokeballs and Jessie becomes mad and wants to return it as she notices something digging under the ground on another beach. The pokemon hits a rock and they all wonder what it is. Jessie starts to run after it and James and Meowth wonder what she is doing and she tells them that she wants revenge. She keeps running but steps on a Loudred resting on the floor, who becomes furious and blasts Team Rocket off one again!

At night, Ash and co wait for the pokemon with a food bait but May doesn’t want to wait anymore. Ash tells her it’s a good concentration training which she doesn’t understand be he explains it to her. She tells them she doesn’t want to be here and they tell her to go to sleep then. But she says she can’t because she’s too scared! Then Pikachu hears something which frightens her even more. They take a close look around her and suddenly comes at them from behind them and they take a run for it. It then starts to follow May and Ash tells Pikachu to use thunderbolt and a huge blast is heard. The pokemon is gone as Ash notices a small part of the pokemon. Ash asks if Pikachu can sense it but it can’t and Ash wonders what it is.

Ash and co are exhausted from their busy night and the hot and May wants to go somewhere else but everybody else wants to stay here to find out what kind of pokemon this is. Ash mentions that he saw something like a red horn and he’s sure it will come back since prof Oak always said it will come back. Max comments that’s from one of his poems and Max shows May the poem book from Prof Oak and May tells her little brother she remembers it know.

They then use Foretress to make some holes which they will use fort raps. They comments they learned that from Team Rocket which May and Max find very low. At night they wait for the pokemon again with some food and it’s becoming pretty late and May starts to yawn. Then four figures comes out of the water and they wonder what it is but they eat the food. They place another plate with food and the four figures who appear to be Team Rocket go to the other plate too. They fall into the hole and the find out it’s Team Rocket. They to their motto which May and Max find very dull since they do the same all the time. Team Rocket then becomes furious since they stole their holes and the traps but suddenly they blast off and they see the pokemon again. Pikachu performs a quick attack and the pokemon is revealed, it’s a Corpish and Ash scans it with his dexter.

Corpish becomes furious and Ash seriously wants to catch it so he tells Pikachu to use thunderbolt but Corpish jumps away and it misses. He digs another hole beneath Pikachu and Pikachu flies through the air. Pikachu wants to do an iron tail attack but with his claws Corpish grabs Pikachu’s tail and throws him back at Ash and Ash tells Pikachu to rest for a while as everybody is impressed.

Ash then calls out for Treecko and he tells Treecko to stay where he is and Treecko closes his eyes. May wonders what Ash is doing but Brock comments to May that she should pay attention and she will understand. Corpish then becomes impatient en releases a bubblebeam attack and Treecko slams it away with his tail. Corpish goes for a crabhammer attack but Treecko does his quick attack which hits Corpish before Corpish could hit Treecko. Treecko does his final attack which is stomp and it slams Corpish to the ground and Ash throws a pokeball at it and he catches Corpish! Ash compliments Treecko for a great job and Brock explains that with Corpish’s impatience it was also impossible for Corpish to win. May then comments that that’s the thing he learned from his loss in Dewford Gym and he agrees while sighing.
