This episode is essential viewing because: Nicholai returns with Zangoose and Marshtomp.

While the gang are walking down a path, a Zangoose runs past them. Ash gets out his Poke’dex and gets information. A bigger Zangoose comes and starts talking; the gang figure out that the Zangoose is a human! Nicoli!

Nicoli tells Ash and co about how he went to challenge May and Max’s dad, but he lost. Ash wonders why he admitted it. Nicoli says that May and Max’s dad is a knickerbocker but May a Max disagree.

Nicoli says that he is out here training and then (Of course) Ash challenges him. Nicoli agrees. Nicoli sends out Marshtomp and Ash sends out Treecko. May checks her poke’dex.

Nicoli tells Marshtomp to use water gun, but Treecko dodges it, and uses tackle. Nicoli tells Marshtomp to keep using water gun, and don’t let Treecko get close to it. Marshtomp uses mud shot and it hits Treecko, and it badly hurts him. Treecko gets back up. Marshtomp uses iron tail, but Treecko blocks it with bullet seed and then finishes it off with pound attack. Marshtomp is fainted. Treecko has won.

Team Rocket are behind a touch and they discuss Pikachu and Nicoli. Jesse sends out Seviper and tells it to grab Pikachu when Ash isn’t looking.

Nicoli sends out Zangoose. Zangooses uses swords dance but straight away stops and heads to Seviper. Seviper and Zangoose fight. Max eplains that Zangoose and Seviper are enimes. Zangoose and Seviper challenge each other to a battle. Meowth calls Seviper an overgrown Caterpie and because of that, Seviper knocks Meowth into Team Rocket, knocking them into a river.

Seviper wraps Zangoose and then, they both fall into the river, but still carry on their battle. Ash sends out Corphish and tells it to use bubblebeam, it hits Seviper, and Ash tells Corphish to help Zangoose out of the river.

Corphish dives in and rescues Zangoose. Zangoose is hurt. Brock treats Zangoose and Nicoli sweet talks it. Nicoli feeds Zangoose and the Ash starts to sweet talk him.

Team Rocket are unhappy, out of the river. Seviper and Team Rocket are reunited. James calls Seviper a legless loser and after a threaten, James apologies. Jesse says that she would like to throw Cassidy down a Raticate hole.

Ash dresses up as a Seviper and Nicoli dresses up as a Zangoose. Ash and Nicoli have a pretend battle and Ash shows Nicoli some great tactics. May questions the battling, and Skitty comes out of its Pokeball. Skitty runs to Ash and chases his Seviper tail.

Seviper returns and Zangoose slowly gets up and runs off. Ash, Nacoli and everyone else chases Zangoose.

Jessie is calling Zangoose. James and Meowth don’t want the battle to go on. Zangoose arrives and so does everyone else. Zangose doges Sevipers attack and a metal arm comes from James, they have caught Pikachu.

Jesse wants to battle to the end and Meowth and James run away with Pikachu. Ash, May, Max and Brock chase James and Meowth and James sends out Cancnea and Cacnea uses Pin missle. James and Meowth do their motto but with Meowth covering Jesse. Meowth thinks that was great!

Ash is getting close but Cancnea uses sandstorm, sending sh landing onto James. Pikachu goes sliding away in the cage.

Back at the battle, Seviper uses bite, but Zanoose dodges. Seviper uses poison tail but it also dodges. Pikachu lands on Seviper but Team Rocket and everyone else fight over Pikachu.

Wobbufet runs away with Pikachu. Ash gets Pikachu back. Seviper chases Zangoose and Zangoose runs in a zig zag formation. Seviper is gaining onto Zangoose. Seviper uses bite and poison tail but Zangoose jumps and doges it. Zangoose uses crush claw and it hits Seviper. Zangoose has won. Cacnea uses Pin missle on the gang and Pikachu uses thunder and sends Team Rocket blasting off again.

Nicoli and Ash restart the battle. Nicoli sends out a Zigzagoon and Ash sends out Pikachu. There actually just having fun!
