The official Chunsoft website has posted some screenshots of the forthcoming "Pokémon: Mysterious Dungeon" games for the DS and GBA.

This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.

As we knew from before, the Mysterious Dungeon games are special. Special in that not only are they RPG where you are the Pokémon, they're also for the GBA and DS. It comes in two flavours y'see- "Blue Rescue Team" will be released for the Nintendo DS, whilst "Red Rescue Team" will be designed with the GBA in mind.

Presumably the two will link up using some DS magic, and "things" will happen.

Despite there being a post on the chunsoft website about this, we, by which I mean, I, am none-the-wiser as to what on earth is going on in this game.

An awful machine-translation of the webpage, to try and decypher it wasn't much use, although it produced this wonderful sentence (I've replaced the Japanese text that wasn't translated with something horse-related):

"In the world where this horse lives recent times, natural disaster increases and everyone is tormented, seems. You who anticipate the arm of the battle in horse of the partner come and want "the horse eating maggot that loves horses."

So something about natural disasters, then?

But why are we really here? For screenshots of course! Set your eyes to "view", to see what we assume are screenshots of the GBA (red) version:

This game certainly looks pretty - whether or not the west will ever see it, or indeed, whether it is actually any good, remains to be seen.

In fact, we put these two questions to someone who is famous for predicting the future: Mystic Meg!

"I predict that there will be... a World Cup football tournament in Germany in 2006"

Erm... thank you Mystic Meg, for your insight.
