ALK meets God, and a few others

This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.

Needless to say, after forking £450 on a plane ticket for April to America, seeing an Arceus event advertised shortly after didn't put me in high spirits, especially as I have HGSS to get and I already have the normal Arceus (Thanks Mikey!), and having to travel to London for a Pokemon AGAIN.

But needless to say, I'm glad I went.

Just like the Shaymin event last year, we were all forced into a Game store in London. This one was bigger then the Brent Cross event, though security told most battlers and traders to go outside to do their battling and trading (Booo). So got my first Arceus for Pearl, as expected its the Lv100 one for all that Cynthia event goodness in HGSS. Went to buy one of those figurines in a Pokeball to get a Arceus figurine (Which looks sweet, thank you for accepting the payment, oh faithful Visa card XD)).

Suddenly, one of the chaps at the download booth said there were technically problems. Once it was back in order, we started to receive Japanese event Pokemon! I managed to snag a normal Eevee, a shiny Eevee (Both Eevees coming from the XBox 360 section of the store, making me wonder if Eevee had defied Nintendo...) and a Charmander holding a Lucky Egg! Others start to be "offered" were a Octillery, Heatran (The Ranger 3 one apparently), a shiny Shaymin, Lucario, Milotic, and others. One chap was even offering the special PokeWalker Jirachi he got from America and cloned. At this rate, I thought we were going to get Zoroark. XD (But then it turns out someone with an R4 was given them out...)

And as always, I got to hang around with all you fello Pokemaniacs. Bumped into Dan Dan, had some battles and even battled and traded with someone wearing a Piplup outfit/pajamas imported from Japan! Great stuff!

After a good few hours, I got Arceus for my Diamond and Plat games, and a 2nd Arceus figurine (For my Girlfriend)before making my way home. A really great event with unexpected turns of events, again I am glad to have gone!

Been to any of the other Arceus events? Drop a line, and we might post your report of events at the event on the site!

I went to the one in Belfast... was really amazing, far more people than I expected. It was really quiet at the Shaymin event last April, mainly because stupid game totally mucked up the dates. xD

I battled with a ton of people - including beating a Level 100 team some random ten year old had - my EV trained level 80s wiped the floor with him. xD

I was staffing the two Belfast ones. The one on Saturday was the better of the two, it had a great atmosphere that lasted the whole 9 hours.
I heard there's going to be another event in the summer, but nothing solid.

Buzzbatgirl, Are you talking about the one in Japan with the legendary beasts? Because thats confirmed. [The location, as of now, is not.]
Anyway, I hope everyone over there in Britain had fun!

@Lugiafantic I was taking about UK (and hopefully Ireland) brick and mortar events. The location of the shiny beasts is the cinema that the film is being shown in. The site Project Pokemon broke that news at the weekend

I made a long detour on the way home from university to get to Kingston today, it was awfully exciting as I didn't tell anyone about it. Sneaky!

I went, met a nice bloke with a big beard who'd come from New Zealand (that seems like a long way to go). From my quick scan of the room, we were the only two over-twenty year olds who weren't wearing GAME nametags, nervously standing around in the PS3 section.

I feel like an idiot, though, because I got intimidated by the balloon animals and the camera crew taping the whole thing (I technically wasn't supposed to be there) so I dashed out before checking to see if there were goodie bags. Considering the awesome gifts I've recieved at these kinds of things before, I'm very dissapointed in myself.

...if anyone feels like picking me up one tomorrow and posting it to me, I'd be eternally grateful :3

Went to the Kingston one, pre ordered ss and had a multi battle with the "pokemon expert". That's never going off my vs recorder.

Yeah, I talked to the guys in Reading today after reading this, they said there wasn't a problem with their gear, someone else had brought in their own download cartridge, which means all those Pokémon you got were actually hacks, designed to resemble the official Pokémon. That's why you'd have got some from areas where you apparently couldn't download.

That said, there was a "download booth"? In Reading so long as you were in the store you were able to download it. Since, you know, it was wireless. Download booths became obsolete when the link cable did.
