Scyther	Shrimp Since Scyther is based on the mantis, I figured I'd expand on that and name it after the mantis shrimp, which is a species of shrimp known for their aggressive behavior, incredible attack speed, and sharp claws; all of which are traits you could attribute to Scyther. Scyther	Ceres Ceres, the Roman goddess of the harvest. I felt that the name fit Scyther, because my scyther was a girl, and the two large scythes, which are agricultural tools for harvesting.
