Why cant you breed legendary pokemon?

Sentret thinks it's because they are too legendary and then think themselves above being in egg shell thingies.

if misty is ashs mate , why does she think your a bastard in gold/silver?

Sentret hasn't ever been thinking that you are actually Ash!!! You meet Ash in Mt Silver Gold place thingy, and you are someone else!!
