She's not that bad either. Also, I thought she did country. I'm behind.

Country-turned-pop, mostly.

Anyway - I like him - he might not appeal to everyone but he's good at what he does. Try selling a million records with no talent - unless you're a Korean named Psy, it's not going to work

I would say he's undeserving of death, though the things he has done are...not good. A lot of people don't deserve death. At least he isn't someone charged for crimes against humanity, all he's done is given pop music a bad name and a few other bad things. shush PSY was actually funny.

And talent does NOT equal success, if you get my drift. Hey, there are loads of people with talent who are not getting the recognition they deserve. He's an example of some bad music taste.

When he first got famous I didn't really care - I knew of him from an au-pair and from an appearance on the Graham Norton Show and, okay, I thought he seemed sweet.  I also thought that there had to be talent in him because he wouldn't have become such a dominant figure if there wasn't.

I don't think the issue is with him as a person; I think it's because people have been holding him on a podium since he was 16 and (please excuse my generalisation) he has a massive group of fans who - like most celebrities have - wouldn't hesitate to lynch a person who trashed him.  Alongside the portion of rabid fans, there are also the people who dislike him enough to start spewing hateful comments; as we all do, he likely took the positive comments above the negative but kept the sting of the negative.  Also, the lad's at an influential age - someone needs to give him a harsh talking to and by the time he's 26 he might have calmed down.

I think he might have that mix of misanthropy, vanity and arrogance that leads to a thoroughly unpleasant person. Now that I've got that probably-wrong-rant out, there's a deep love of Taylor Swift from this corner.

You're mistaking 'talentless' for 'not to your taste'

Unless I'm missing something here, you wouldn't buy a song unless you liked it - correct? In order to sell those millions of albums/records/singles, millions of people must have liked your song enough to purchase it.

Nicki Minaj, for instance, I really don't like. That doesn't mean to say she's talentless - she's pretty talented actually - I just don't like her music.

^Maybe you two are both right by saying just because a so calles "artist's" style isn't for me but couldn't that same logic be used on BIEBER as well in that he may not be "talentless?" I agree that it is my opinion and I have every right to voice it and my opinion should be respected as does others. Besides what's the worst dissing artists I don't like such as the Beastie Boys The Stupid Screaming Boys going to do? I mean is MCA going to rise from the dead as a zombie and eat my brain? Sure I may have offended some fans of his but I never said I wished him dead and hoped he suffered as he died from cancer. So apologizing won't magically take away the fact he's dead. Sorry I went off topic a bit but I needed to let others know where I stand in terms of my opinions being taken the wrong way. I do not mean to offend anyone as it is not my goal but if I did then it is you with the problem.

^I can play the main part of practically any song on the keyboard by ear. I taught myself how to play the beginning of Debussy's Clair de Lune, Funkytown, Blondie's Rapture, The Entertainer, the piano part of Total Eclipse of the Heart, Fur Elise, Music Box Dancer, and Greensleeves that way. Does that count?

^It is good. I've done it many times and everyone who hears me play is impressed. I also taught myself the beginning chords of Extreme's More Than Words on guitar despite never having any lessons on how to play it before.

Bieber?
Miley Cyrus?
Captain Jigglypuff?

All of them must throw themselves at the feet of their King, who shall ask them all again:
What does the Fox say?!
