Title: Tebow release
Post by: SirBlaziken on April 30, 2013, 00:47
Tebow was released today, do you think this was fair?

I say no, he never had a chance to play 77 snaps for the season?! Even I admit, he's terrible, but better than my tean's QB Weedan. Come on Browns, this is your chance!

Thank God, now everyone can take the Jets just a little bit more seriously.  Hold your tits though, it's only a little bit.

Tebow is overhyped media trash and he's an awful quarterback (but he could be a good tight end or something, he's definitely athletic).  I don't think any team really wants him simply because of the attention he gets and nobody wants that.  TO and Ochocinco and all those fools were enough.

Tebow will not make the Browns any good.  The difference between his streak in Denver and if he were to be put in the AFC North is that the Browns are the bottom dwellers of the AFC North.  Denver are a top-of-the-line team in the AFC West, because the Chargers/Chiefs/Raiders were awful teams.  That's why Peyton Manning choked in the playoffs; because he wasn't used to actually going against a competent team (speak about the 34-17 blowout as much as you'd like, let's not forget the fact that half of our team was injured and it was our OC's very first game).  The Steelers game was definitely a fluke, because Tebow got absolutely destroyed by the Patriots.  Tebow would not survive in the AFC North.

I'm just saying, he may actually find a wayto help them.

I don't think Tebow deserves a topic of his own. Whoever signs wants more attention, because SportsCenter is gonna spend a lot of time talking about them. I think he should just go to AFL (Canada) and see what happens.

And it was totally fair, the guys terrible.

Yeah, but the Jets did not really use him at ANY position.

Tebow should not go to the CFL, because the CFL has 15-yard downs and 3 attempts (as opposed to 10-yard and 4).  It's a very pass heavy game over there, and Tebow will actually be way worse in CFL than in NFL.

No, he really just needs to play Tight End or something, he's athletic as hell.

That's a good point, but he always has the Omaha Beef.

Thats true, but he could also be used as a weapon for the wildcat on a team (like the Jets planned on), so he might have an NFL future.

Nobody uses wildcat seriously in the NFL, nor does he even want to do wildcat

Honestly, he should just take what he can get.

Tebow is now a Patriot and he's being trained as a qb and a tight end

can't wait

^ Probably due to Aaron Hernandez being arrested.

Nope, he was being trained as a Tight End prior to that.  Tebow was signed ages ago, and they actually have quite a few other Tight Ends on their roster that are probably far more competent than Tebow.  Gronk's career isn't over yet either, and Gronk was quite frankly even more of a monster than Hernandez.

Sorry, don't know what ot means, you meant to, right? Maybe backup or a starter when one is injured, but not a real starter like Brady in QB.

Don't be condescending.  It's an easy typo to make.

Doubt it.  I don't even think he'll win backup over Ryan Mallet.  Let's also consider the rule that 3rd string QBs coming in means that the first and second string can no longer come in (it's a real rule).

What I mean is he may be played as a TE but not as a starter, although he could play backup behind Brady.

He won't be played as a TE.  He lacks the instinct for football (and by the way Gronk and Hernandez are/were not the only talented TEs on their roster).  He won't be played as a backup.  Mallet is that much better than him.  I've addressed both points, do you just post for your count or something?

No, I was multi-tasking at the time and read that wrong. No need to get like that.  Also in the background of my house, which was 8 people by the way, there was a shouting match, so that made it even harder. Let's just say Tebow sucks and move on. On the brightside, my aunt's family are all steelers fans, so when they get all "oh the steelers are better than the browns", which they are, I just walk up to then and say the magic words, Tim Tebow, and they all go silent. Isn't it great?

No you did not read that wrong, I know for a fact that you are posting only to get count based on your previous sets of posts because you have nothing of any contribution to say towards a discussion in any post you make on this board, ever.  Prove me wrong.  Remember that posting is about quality and not quantity; sounds rich coming from the guy with the highest post count but I assure you even when I was making large amounts of posts I was also contributing to the discussion at hand.

Anyways, I've been on a Madden spree lately, anyone want to recommend some fun matchups I should go for?

Yeah, you've also been on a rant spree....  I'm not just trying to drive up my post count, I'm just giving the honest truth.
