To start things off, long time no talk MM64. Marth and Roy are in Fire Emblem games from now on, thanks to amiibo support. This joke came out way more stiff that I thought it would. but just how portable is the Switch for that to be justified? Pretty portable. ~3-4 hours of battery life with car charging options if I'm recalling right, and the docking station is really compact.

^It's a shame it doesn't always give you an awnser! The first few results gave an answer.

If you had asked me 15 years ago, I probably would have said "Capcom" without a doubt... but I've played a couple Arc System Works fighters since then, and they're pretty solid, so that's probably who I'd want making my 2D fighter now.* Arcsys would probably be more suited for one idea I have than the other, though. Arcsys has always been phenomenal. Older Guilty Gear games still stand up to today, as do other stuff they've made like Persona 4 Arena.

Are you going anywhere with this?

It's not. Getting someone to rate them will prove difficult -- because there's a relatively large backlog, and nobody's going to want to work on this that much.

I mean the attempt was made to such, but for some reason (that I plead the fifth on) it died out. Meanwhile about the new gen of pokemon not being in, the people who update the site also have lives outside of it, meaning you may have to wait a while before that happens. However, if all you're looking for is someone to call you an idiot for naming a pokemon something, I am always happy do that.
It's not so much we have lives outside of it, though we are all busy, but it's also a matter of motivation. The forum does seem dead, and I'm honestly too exhausted (and I have a million other hobbies I want to pursue outside of my work) to really do much with it, on top of being afraid to really do anything with site UI. There's a million other Pokemon sites with raw information. However, just to avoid being a downer and seeing what can get done, I will make a thread this weekend about activity and what you can do to help. We can definitely add the new generation of Pokemon easily, but getting someone to rate them will be difficult.

I understand your complaint, but keep in mind that the previous name rater has been ridiculously busy with their own life and some other members have been as well.

you're advertising in this thread not for critique but for comments and views. this is not acceptable.
it would be an entirely different thing if you were asking for -- and responding to -- critique.

I did a quick google search on it, and here's what I found. It actually is a joke! One of my pharmacy professors explained it to us once and it is hilarious.
The joke is that the physics professor and the assistant are actually taking aspirin (presumably for a headache). Aspirin is a salicyclic acid that has a hydroxyl ion added to it (which is liberated when you ingest it).
Once you've taken aspirin, its breakdown occurs when plasma esterases hydrolyze (giving it an hydroxyl ion) the salicylic acid, thus stopping its effects and giving you your headache back.
When the professor says "that's no hydroxyl ion, that's my wife!" He's saying that its not the breakdown of the aspirin that's making his headache return, it's his wife!
edit TL;DR: His wife is giving him a headache https://www.reddit.com/r/askscience/comments/k7ecz/does_this_joke_from_dexters_lab_actually_make/c2i337u/?st=j3z99yzi&sh=1b39a0e8

I too have been following and the fact that Theresa May didn't even do the bare minimum to win (because this was the Conservative Party's to lose, because their goal was to gain seats) is quite hilarious.

Please cut out the conversation about how inappropriate his joke was and get back on topic.
