I recently began playing Emerald on a gba emulator for ios. I chose mudkip as my starter and was wondering what a good team was. I can't trade pokemon and I'd like to avoid intensive breeding. Any suggestions? P.S. my mudkip has a docile nature :(

I'm going to save Richard the trouble and just say it: drop the mudkip and get a torchic.
Of course i'm kidding, but the 4x grass weakness, a fire type would be recommended, or maybe a salamence with flamethrower. Once you get to that point.
Kecleon is a bit erratic, but a can be used if trained up right. (I'm working on mine)
A fighting type is necessary, wait scratch that, inexcusable to not have.
I use aggron on my ruby team. Don't. it's a pain in the butt to train.
Hope this helped.

Always get a Taillow early. They destroy Brawley, and Swellow is awesome!
Other than that, Flygon is pretty cool, and can learn Fire Blast (I think). Shedinja, whilst usually bad in competitive, can shine in game, with gyms and their monotype teams.

What fighting type do you reccomend?

Right now I'm looking at swampert, camerupt, flygon until I can get salemence, breloom until I can get heracross, gardevoir, and slaking. I also have skarmory, swablu, and anorith as others. Amy suggestions or changes?
-
How come no one has any respect for flygon?!
Breloom is infinitely better
Well, with a 4x water and a 4x grass weakness, a ludicolo could punch holes in your team. If you'd like a ground type, sandslash would work. If you don't want a ground type, try a a fire type from another region, like houndour, if accessible.
NEVER, I mean NEVER, use slaking. Although the huge power is nice, it's super effective against nothing, plus, its ability makes it wait, basically like using hyper beam. Skarmory would be a better choice, or even evolving anorith into armaldo.
-
^in game, Slaking is fine, it's just competitively he sucks. Because in gen III, he can use Hyper Beam, faint the opponent, and switch when it asks if you want to.
-
Still, it's slow as molasses.
-
100 base speed isn't slow. That's faster than most of the game, speed tying with Flygon and Salamence, and outpacing Rayquaza!
-
Ok, how about swampert, flygon, gardevoir, armaldo or skarmory, and heracross. I chose heracross because it would wreck Sidney in the elite 4. Tell me why breloom is better
-
Heracross is better, hands down. Certainly in gen III.
Megahorn is absurdly powerful in game, making heracross a monster.
Breloom does have a small niche, in being able to use spore and focus punch in tandem to destroy teams, but it's just not quite as good as heracross, as it relies on this tactic
-
I think Swampert is best........
-
What do you mean by 'gba emulator for ios' ? Please tell me.
-
Swampert
Salamance
Aggron (Pain in the butt, but worth it)
Breloom
Linoone (Useful Hm Slave: Cut, Rock Smash, Strength, Secret Power, Surf. Choose Wisely)
Claydol
Hope this isn't to late!

My team is:
Sceptile
Zigzagoon
Absol
Graveller
Flygon
Latias
-
As mudkip can be replaced by Wailmer you can take Blazikane......
By the way, first time I took swampert so I prefer it.
