Does anyone know how to set up a virtual machine?
« on: June 21, 2017, 17:31 »
I downloaded some software called Dance Ejay, that doesn't work on Windows 7, but I know it works on Windows 98. I tried running it in compatibility mode and everything, it still didn't work. Well, I can sort of make it work with Windows 7, but the sound doesn't work. I need it to, as the software is a sort of music mixer with cool sounds.

I found some files which I have no idea how to use, but I know they are required to run a Windows 98 virtual machine.

Can someone help me set it up on Virtualbox? I honestly have no idea what to do.

I tried to do it myself, but I don't know where to put the files I downloaded, unless it doesn't matter.

According to the Virtualbox setup, Windows 98 needs 64 Megabytes of RAM to run. Most games nowadays require a pc with 2 Gigabytes or more RAM to run.

That makes Windows 98 sound so pathetic!

Edit: I couldn't use Windows 98 to do what I needed. I worked out how to get a Windows XP virtual machine to do it though.
