I've recently gotten back into competitive battling and built some OU teams. Now I want to see if I can get other people to fool around with teams. So before I start a tourney, would anyone be interested?

So I was thinking the other night. Mega Gallade really doesn't get many uses in OU, even if it is good. So I built a team (with help from some showdown friends) with mega gallade with some ways to beat mega sableye, because let's face it, stall is a nightmare if you can't beat some of what it runs. Disclaimer: These sprites are not mine and credit should go to whom it so properly belongs.
 Gallade @ Galladite Ability: Justified EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Swords Dance - Knock Off - Close Combat - Zen Headbutt Your typical white caped hero set. Pretty much a win con if it can set up safely. Thunder Wave support helps quite a bit. Not much to say since the uses are obvious.  Bisharp @ Assault Vest Ability: Defiant EVs: 192 HP / 220 Atk / 96 Spe Adamant Nature - Pursuit - Knock Off - Sucker Punch - Iron Head Bisharp and Mega Gallade for a good core together. I went Assault Vest and Pursuit in order to trap the Lati Twins. Life Orb may give it more power, but I would rather it do its job better, which means Assault Vest is the way to go.  Clefable @ Leftovers Ability: Magic Guard EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD Calm Nature - Stealth Rock - Moonblast - Soft-Boiled - Thunder Wave Who wants to get completely shut down by Mega Sableye honestly? Basically set up SR when Sable isn't breathing down your neck and provide some support with T-Wave as needed. Also can come in on things like Kyruem-B, which also helps out.  Latias @ Life Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Defog - Roost - Draco Meteor - Psyshock Defog support. Plus it can break down other mons that give the team trouble with DM and Psyshock. Roost gives it staying power. Bad thing is that it gets completely stopped by Bisharp (which I also happen to have).  Serperior @ Life Orb Ability: Contrary Shiny: Yes EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Substitute - Leech Seed - Hidden Power [Fire] - Leaf Storm So this is where we went a little off the beaten path. Sure Serperior is common enough in OU all out attacking set. However, sub seed has its uses and while it misses a few moves for coverage and utility, this variant of Serperior can punish mons in a different way by substituting off a read and simply doing as it wishes. Needs to watch for sound moves and Things like Mega Heracross. Gives my team a way to deal with Rotom-Wash and other bulky waters.  Manaphy @ Leftovers Ability: Hydration EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Tail Glow - Rain Dance - Psychic - Scald And this is where the team is rounded out. Manaphy is a vicious stallbreaker that when left unchecked can deal massive damage to the other team. Scald can be replaced with Surf or Hydro Pump, but the burn support can help out if it doesn't outright win. Rain Dance keeps it healthy and Tail Glow gives it access to a terrifying level of power.
This is just a first build of the team. Feel free to insert your opinion as long as you will be respectful about it.

I've been thinking about it for a while, so i've finally decided to do so. I want to build a monotype team for fun but I have no clue where to start, even after reading the guides on Smogon. I know a few types I may want to consider but I don't know what to do with what.
Types i'm considering include the following: Water, Grass, Flying, and Fairy.
I am willing to do almost any type besides dragon, because it's too overdone tbh. If anyone has any suggestions to start building off of, i'd love to know. Sweepers, Walls, Gimmicks (Marti, get your behind over here if you're reading this), or just to tell me how much of a n00b I am.
One thing though, I do know one mon I want to use if it isn't banned I end up going down the water avenue. Other than that, i'm ready to listen.

Not really meant to be a thread about bragging, but basically you can share some of the gifts here that you really like or even ones that make you shake your head as you politely smile and remember that it's the thought that counts.
I had a decent christmas, the highlight for me being getting Guitar Hero Live and hilariously failing on Expert with the new control set-up.

My brother somehow tracked down a copy of Colosseum and I ended up getting it for Christmas. If i'm not mistaken, it's a lot like XD, which I have played, with some differences. Is there anything I need to be aware of that differs from XD and are there any pokemon in particular that I will want to catch/keep?

You saw that right, there will be a new installment into the popular series. However, it won't be in book form (as of yet), it will be a play, and for those of you lucky to live near London, you can buy tickets to it, plus I do not now if it's true because the report said that this information was posted on Pottermore (and I don't have an account or go on the site). Can someone with an account or someone who at least frequents the site confirm this for me?

Are there those pokemon out there for you that would didn't really care about until all of a sudden you love them for no reason and you don't know why (or maybe you do and you've been hiding your feelings for said pokemon from everyone)? I have a few.
I had a pidgeot I got off wonder trade and i've used as my fly slave and suddenly I grew attached to it. It's mega is meh for me, but I just like pidgeot now.
Zangoose is another case, only I know why I like it (fanfiction, but not that kind of fanfiction, you know what I mean), because Toxic boost and SD together can be horrifyingly powerful if played right.
Then lastly it's vulpix/ninetales. As a kid, I got a vulpix marble that I lost and somehow found one day among my stuff, then the 2 thread rp series with the zombielike pokemon (some of you know which one) and the rest was history.
So, what about you guys?

It's been a while since we've had a tourney here, so why don't we give it a shot? The format is OU, so anything OU and below is ok. Want to use a team full of little cup pokemon? You're good, although you'll get some strange looks. A team centered around Mega blaziken and a slew of banned pokemon? This is not the right tourney for that.
Rules:
Matches will be conducted in a best 3 of 5 style type. That means you must win 3 of your battles to move on in 5 tries. If you win before the 5 battle mark, you don't have to fight any longer. If a battle ends in a tie, it does not count, unless it was caused by Destiny Bond or Explosion. In which case, the person who used such move loses.
Anything OU or below up until the point of me posting this is accepted into the tourney. Yes ladies and gents, that includes Hoopa and Hoopa Unbound.
To add to the challenge, only Megas released before ORAS are usable. And they have to be OU at this moment. So that means no mega Lucario or Mawile. Don't worry, you are not required to have a mega on your team, and there's some out there that exist that meet these requirements.
As soon as the tourney starts, you may not switch your teams in any way. If you are caught, you are disqualified. Don't have a way to touch a certain pokemon? Should've thought about that beforehand.
No weather whatsoever. (This effectively bans Mega Charizard Y. Sorry folks. X is better anyways.)
Sleep Clause is in Effect
Freeze Clause is in Effect.
Endless Battle Clause is in Effect.
Species Clause is in Effect.
All parts of the Baton Pass Clause are in effect
Any move tutor moves that a pokemon might learn from an ORAS tutor are legal.
You must save the Replays to all of your battles and pm them to me. You can post them on the topic if you wish, because I might put mine up.
Be nice to the people you face. Actually this is a site rule. Yeah, definitely follow this.
Be active. If you sign up and don't show up to face the person you are matched with in a certain time without a reasonable excuse, you'll be cut and the other person will advance. So those "My gerbil ate my computer" excuses won't really work, unless it actually happened.
We are using Pokemon Showdown for this, since I doubt we have half of the pokemon we'll be using.
Since we're all going to be rusty, this should be a very interesting tournament and I hope that everyone who signs up has fun. I wish everyone the best of luck.

I'm not sure if people still use this, but who's on it if you do? If you didn't know, if you can edit it by going to profile, then modify profile, then buddy/ignore list, then edit buddies. Note this is not meant to start fights, so if you have a problem with someone, don't say anything or at least take it to PM's (as many topics started recently have resulted in fights).

So, i've been trying to arrange a trade with a few people for one of these puppies but nothing's panned out yet. I have decided to make a topic directly here because i'm tired of having to jump through hoops to only have stuff happen last minute.
I'm looking for at least one of the following builds:
Timid 31/x/31/31/31/31
Modest 31/x/31/31/31/31
Calm 31/x/31/31/31/31
I would prefer timid out of all of them, but if a specific hidden power if needed, you can swap out the IV sets with the needed set for the HP. If that's possible, I would rather have that. I can try to arrange a trade of some sort, I can try to breed a new pokemon out, get an item, or both within reason. I cannot HP breed or shiny breed at all, so please don't ask for that. Keep in mind this will be from my X game since i'm too lazy to transfer my horde over to AS
So fire away, I hope we can arrange something.

What? Blaze making a non-pokemon rp? Scandalous, I know.
Plot: You're living your lives in your house in modern times when suddenly, when you are asleep/unconscious (pick one), you wake up in what seems to be an armory for a Middle Ages army. As the weapons, which have been predetermined for your character (you pick in your join form), are forced into your hands, your goal is being explained. It's your average goal, quest to the menacing castle in the distance and slay the monsters and dark forces within, plus any you encounter along the way, and shatter the dark crystal which is somewhere in there, wielded by the dark wizard (of course). That might be enough for you to wake up. Oh, did I mention you are trapped in this dream until you achieve this goal? Luckily, all of our characters are grouped together! What fun!
Rules:
Follow the rules of the site (Hoped you did this already)
No god-modding (Being op or taking control of another person's character without permission from that person)
No limelighting
Keep it PG-13. Minor blood is permitted but do not go "blood and guts galore!"
Use common sense
If you have an idea for the rp, ask me about it, don't just do it.

Name: (You can't wander nameless)
Gender: (Also self-explanatory)
Age: (Teen to young adult is recommended, but as long as it makes sense, go for it)
Appearance: (What does x look like? Be descriptive and use at least 3 lines)
Personality: (Once again, what is this person like? 2 line minimum)
Class: (Stuff like: Paladin, Mage, Berserker, Cleric, Warrior, Archer, Rogue. If you have one that isn't listed, ask me. In this time, your character will wear the armor/clothing for their class. Also, just because you are one class doesn't mean you don't have something similar to another. Ex: Mage casting healing magic or a Berserker having a shield)
Weaponry: (What do you have? Don't overdo it but don't be under equipped)
Other: (Any other significant piece of info we might want to know. Ex. You can have a familiar if you are a mage, just don't make it too strong, just give it minor abilities. This part of the form is optional.)
Starter Post: (Paragraph minimum. Basically the backstory of the day/night you fall asleep/black out and end up in this mess. Your reaction to this whole mess and if you're towards the end of the joiners, your reactions to everyone else who is there so far. Be creative if you must.)
You may have up to 2 characters. You can have one, but no more than 2. Familiars, if you are a mage, are a minor part and don't take a character slot up. I would recommend different classes, unless you have a plan.
