Well at least the Slitheen aren't coming back to Doctor Who (I really hope), but I really wish they wouldn't make more Sarah-Jane adventures, isn't Doctor Who fun enough for kids as it is?

Just a thought, could the Beeb have picked Davies with the intention of producing a camp show?

Anyway, I think that the three main problems with Russ' are:

His tendency to end a series with a situation so hard to escape from that something terribly corny happens like magic being used or people kiss to save the world and the power of love saves everyone (or something along those lines).

He is in love with his own planet.

And he keeps saying the Doctor is 900 years old, I'm probably the only one who is bugged by this, but Sly McCoy's Doctor was over 900, continuity please.

7/10 Not brilliant, but the pictures kind of make up for it.

What you need is something that's not over-complicated, like a pokemon's name followed by a number.

We need a character like Donna - Someone who isn't going to fall in love with the Doctor, who'll stand up to him a bit more.

That's true, but who's to say she won't fall in love with The Doctor? I can see a jealousy thing going with her and Martha. I think two female companions should be interesting, and we haven't had more than one main, long lasting assistant yet.

I suspect that the Timelords wiped out both sides, but it has to be explained how the Daleks managed to get into, survive and tie a war with a timid species that could have just scooped them out of space and time, tied them up and left them somewhere if they wanted.

...After crashing itself into an iceberg TARDIS iceberg.

So Timelords can resurrect themselves now? How on Earth did the Daleks wipe them out?

Does anybody think The Doctor was becoming a little Jesus-like, when he said 'I forgive you' to the Master?

Excellent, well thought out episode, if a little OTT. Doctor Who has become a great show. I wish it'd follow the old continuity more, and be a little less epic with everything, but I guess it's better for everyone in this format. I think it'd be better if they mentioned The Master in the eye of harmony, and stuck to the 13 life rule.

Would the Master willingly die if he could live another life? More importantly, is The Doctor in love with The Master?

The Master always seems to find a way to cheat death, often by stealing other people's bodies, but he shouldn't be able to regenerate. My theory- This is an earlier incarnation of the Master, and the 1996 movie was his final demise.

Been a while since he's done anything, but the profile needed updating slightly

Added: Snorlax, current location.

Well, last time we saw Davros, he did escape death and could easily be brought back. Personally, I think the old Davros mask looked just as realistic as the space rhinos, so if they just brought him back with exactly the same appearance it wouldn't look fake or anything. There's no other reason why they couldn't bring him back in my opinion.

I find it a little surprising that 5 billion years of technology gives cars nothing more than the ability to levitate and unnecessary LED lights on the inside, but they still looked pretty cool.

I liked seeing the Macra, it's a shame they didn't get in more on the story, but it was pretty nostalgic.

How very interesting, I don't suppose any of that footage actually still exists as proof, but still...

I thought it was quite good, I don't know how people in those days would just accept it all as 'special effects' though. I did enjoy it, but I think the ideas of this episode and the ideas of space rhino police and straw killings suck so badly. I love it, I just can't get over how much it sucks.

What was the deal with the Jadoon anyway? Were they meant to look like rhinos and does that indicate the running out of ideas?

Okay episode, I thought the helmets worn by the Jadoon looked vaguely like Sontarans in the trailer so that was disappointing, but other than that, pretty good.

I wish they'd remove all of the random kissing and Doctor love Rose stuff, the show should be more sci-fi than drama/RTD's warped mind, but I don't see that happening with all the mainstream audience appeal.
