For Ho-oh the Bells Toll! It has the best set of legendaries and it has a Crystal trainer in it. I have it on GBA video.

I suppose then it would be "Just Waiting on a Friend" during Pokemon: Master Quest. There was just something so endearing about it. The Ninetales was unable to leave the home since her Pokeball was there, she thought she could stay there with Brock, then in teh end the ball was destroyed and she was allowd to go free. Yup, still a favortie of mine :)

I really liked ghost of maidens peak. I like eps like that, slightly more fantasy and great changes from the whole travelling around, catching them all thing, my fave... let me think, ill come back later

Any episode with Bannai/Brody, man. I perfer the episode, "Mysterious Thief Bannai And The Ribbon Cup", though over Unfair Weather Friends (Forgot the Japanese title.) I hope they have more episodes with him in it. <<

"The Ghost of Maiden Peak", oh how I loved that episode. The girl's story was a bit sad....I don't get it, they showed her at the end...she seemed so nice, but the Ghastly that helped her was a jerk. Plus, what would he need all that money for? 0-0
The one where Meowth has the flashback of learning to talk and meeting that other Meowth, the episode where he fights a Persian at the end, that's my second Favorite. ^^
To round off my top 3: The episode with the Crystal Onix.

I liked "The Ghost of Maiden's Peak", the one with the ghost of the girl who lost her love and her Gastly goes out and scares people and stuff? That episode made me cry.

Mine has to be without a doubt, Eletric Shock Showdown. It was the first episode where Ash really earned a badge properly as he didnt reallt beat Misty or Brock properly. And the gym battle wasent interupted by team rocket ( I hate it when they do that). It was the first dub episode I saw back in 98 after I had already seen some of the early japanese episodes when I was over there and that episode made me love pokemon forever!

Mine's the first episode where you meet Cyndaquil!
It was like the Charmander one, it's just there on a rock, and to trainers are arguing and battling over it, I didn't blame them really! Cyndaquil's been my fave since that epi!

The Bicker the Better was very funny. love the episodes when Ash and his twerps have to team up with Team Rocket. I also love any episode in which TR have a big role. My all-time favourite episode is the one where Jessie and James have to say bye to Arbok and Weezing, it was sad but really good!

I don't really watch the anime too much anymore but I guess most of my favs are the ones with big battles. The Indigo league final episodes, Ash vs. Gary, the one where Ash and Misty fight over Totodile, the S.S. Anne episode and others like that. I don't no the actual names.

And not for the reasons you think. :P
Sure, I really enjoyed the ass-kicking, flame-spitting Jigglypuff but really, it was the guy, Mitch Mitchum, that makes the episode so endearing. He's such a sweetheart.
It was fun seeing Jigglypuff knock out Mitch and even proove that she's a hella better than a Loudred. And yes, the fact that the little girl, Lisa, has a Jigglypuff-styled hair probably earned big points from me... But after you hear Mitch's story and seen what he's been through to get the Jigglypuff, you can't help but feel sorry for him. I was rooting for him by the time. You could replace Jigglypuff with a Chansey, Clefairy, Altaria--what've ya--and I still would probably love this episode.
And Jigglypuff, getting knocked out by its Sing attack? :-\ That's just...sad.

Plus Meowth and Wobbuffet as May and Max...LOL) Sweet Baby James and most of the Indigo series is great anyway. "Muscle over mind!" is my favourite quote haha

My favorite's always been "Island of the Giant Pokémon" because I thought it was cool how they let us know what the Pokémon were actually saying when they talked. I sort of wished they would do that more often.
Also, "Electric Soldier Porygon" - it's so incredibly out there and has a great story.

I think my favourite one is either Episode 381 "Claydoll Big and Tall," When Wobbuffet is dressed up as a girl being chased by a giant Claydol.
Or Episode 373 Gaining Groudon only because it has Groudon and Kyorge in =D

A Poached Ego, Holy Matrimony, Go West, Young Meowth, Meowth Rules, Training Daze, anything where Team Rocket have a big role, anything where Team Rocket and Team Twerp have to team up, like that one with all those hyper-beaming Ursarings in the forest, and the SS.Anne story arc and Holiday Hi-Jynx- that is seriously funny, where the hell did TR get that castle?

My fave is the one in which Ash&co get out of the sunk boat... SS Anne, isn't it ? And then, people believe they're dead ^^
By the way... in this episode (or in the next one, don't remember, I prefer the games to the anime), what does James exactly say when he's hungry and realizes Magikarp is not edible ? I know the quotation in french, but I'd like to have the English one. Thanks ^^

Anyway, most of the older episodes in the Anime were the best. I even enjoyed the first episodes in the Advanced Generation, but they started to lose my interest entirely around the "Advanced Challenge" era. *Sigh* How I miss the good old days.

Episode 14 Electric Shock Showdown. I loved the battle between Pikachu and Raichu, and Pikachu's dialema with the thunder stone!

Riddle Me This and Volcanic Panic. Blaine was the coolest gym leader and had awesome Pokemon and Ash's Charizard actually fought for once.

I'm not sure the name of them, but I have always loved the 2 episodes where Ash goes to cinnabar island and battles magmar, after that i started training a magmar on my blue version.

I like all of them, but one at least is AG episode #98/#372 "The Scuffle of legends" (Or in Finnish "Valtataistelu"=The Struggle For Power") it showed here in Finland 14.7.07.. ;3

My favorite was, "A Better Pill To Swallow". My favorite part was when Jessie was holding the purple Shuckle,(LUCKY!!!) it just popped out of its shell, and didn't know what the heck was going on. So, for no apparent reason, it just licks Jessie's belly button! H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!!!!!!

Primeape goes bananas.
From that episode on, primeape has been my favourite pokemon.
I love the way it knocks the stuffing out of team rocket at the end...
Ash should have ditched pikachu and kept primeape as his main pokemon.

ELECTRIC SOLDIER PORYGON FTW. I'm completely immune to the strobe lighting. I watch that whole segment without blinking and don't even feel unusual in the slightest afterwards.
But seriously? I'd have to say a tie between Go West, Young Meowth! and Pikachu's Goodbye! I always cry during both of those.

Island of the Giant Pokemon (I was obsessed with that one for like 2 weeks once D: ), the first episode (it's so great :] ) and The Ghost of Maiden's Peak (it still makes me laugh, every time) are my favorites. :]

that would be such a hard question but i would probally have to say the episode when they did a spechial with the Pokemon gold/silver/crystal male i thought it was great because also you saw raiku which you ever hardly see in the anime of the show and also the fully evovuled starters. ^.^and that is probally why pokemon is such agreat anime and also the games are fantastic too!. :yeswink: ;D

Anything in the Indigo League that I've seen are my favorites. So are every single banned episode.
Any individual episodes would be the Pokemon! I Choose You! (the first episode, of course, has to be one of my favorites), Tentacool and Tentacruel (a semi-banned episode after 9-11 and many elements that make the episode seem so unPokemon-like) Ditto's Mysterious Mansion (when Ditto turns into a picture and licks Jessie and regular characters in Team Rocket uniforms), The Legend of Dratini (Ash catches 30 Tauros, not to forget the awesome Safari Warden), and Electric Soldier Porygon (Porygons are awesome and the seizure scene doesn't affect me in any way).

"Tower of Terror" FTW.
This is one of the only episodes that prove that the people who make the show are somewhat cool. Not a whole lot, but enough. I'd suggest that the show has something for everyone to like. I don't know about you, but I really like the episodes where something actually HAPPENS. Most of the episodes are pretty much ho-hum in my opinion (There, I said IN MY OPINION. Don't start arguments!) but there are a couple good ones, but ToT is the best.

Settling myself into PKMN.net, I have been answering to all the other "What is your favourite...?" threads so it only seems fitting to continue that here. Giving people an understanding of me and how I am is an effective way to enter a community.
I don't have too much knowledge on the later series' storyline, so it won't be anything passed the Johto saga. Plus, I'm not one for "change" so even if I had watched the later episodes I'd still chose something closer to the birth of the Pokemon Anime. Preferably the Orange Islands, and more specifically, the battle which involved Ash and Drake. Ash's desire to achieve the goal "Pokemon Master" took an enormous leap when he defeated Drake, who possesed the legendary Dragonite in his arsenal. Considering the fact that this was Ash's only success in a triumphunt series with him successfully beating the Orange Islands and its difficult challenge, it stood out from the others where he had failed to victor in tournaments like Kanto's Pokemon League and the Johto League.
That said, it was an amazing match regardless of who came out the winner. A 6-on-6 match always delivers great reults and a formiddble rating, especially when it had alot riding on the match. Ash's goal verus Drake and the undefeated Dragonite. Fantastic. End of story.
I know it was more than one episode, but it was evidently focused on one criteria, and I don't think "filler" episodes are favorited much anyway.

My fave ep is "Ghost of Maidens Peak" just because of the bits where James first spots the maiden "money is sweeter... OO SWEET!" and when he and Brock are floating around.. that had in me in hysterics!! I also like the one where you see James and his Growlithe, Offiser Jenny and her growlithe... err.. oh yeah! and the one with that bloke and the sandshrew.. i was quoting his "sandshrew, sand attack!" line with the accent for weeks after

aww its hard to decide there are so many good pokemon episodes, but the ones i luv is probably the first 3 eps, misty meets her match and the most hallarious one is a double dilema but every episode i watch is always funny and there are still sum that are realy good

I rather enjoyed watching larvitar get back home to it's mom, only to have it's mom mistake it's friends for it's kidnappers and blast them all with hyperbeams. Amusing seeing it cling to Ash insted of going back to it's mother.

My favourite episode is "Where no angels" from the....... Chronicles series I think it was?
It was basically about Team Rocket trying to show villagers that they we're evil. However, everything they did just made them seem like a band of heroic people called Team Righteous.
The ending was a little sad though.... :wub:

That's my favourite episode too. The best part is that the twerps are only in it for five seconds. :laugh:
I love the Chronicles series. One of my other all-time favourites is from that series, 'Training Daze', where TR remember how they met when they were training to become TR members. It's kinda weird though, because in series 1, we found out that they met before joining TR; they went to Pokemon Tech and then joined that bike gang...it's confusing... :wacko:
Other favourites include Air Time, The Ghost of Maiden's Peak, Sweet Baby James and of course Battle Aboard the St. Anne, Pokemon Shipwreck + Island of the Giant Pokemon. ;)

I thought I'd have some fun with the 10th anniversary of the Pokemon dub coming up next month (September 8) so I compiled a list of what I consider to be my personal top 50 (or, actually, 52) Pokemon episodes (plus movies, shorts, and Chronicles) of all time. Mine's gotta be 'Hocus Pokemon' just because Lily, that magician lady is just so ditzy and that Ash gets turned into a Pikachu. it was too bad that he didn't stay as Pikachu longer.
Also, i like 'Gotta Catch Ya Later' just because they made it seem so tragic that Ash isn't ever going to see Misty again (which we all know he does) and then when Ash starts calling out her and Brock's name, and they just appear out of nowhere, hehe...
Hey, if the special eps. 'Raikou, Legend of Thunder' count, then they're up there too. they were originally aired in the Johto season, probably to make up the fact that Raikou never really appears as a main pokemon

1) Harley dresses up like May (meet Mayley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

whenever i see that ep and see "Mayley" i think of my Pichu on my Emerald version, Arley (Asilttam101 named it). i said not to name it Harley, so she anti-quote, "Named it the next best thing!"

Choosing my most favorite episode is going to be hard for me. I liked a bunch of them. Any of them that had to do with heartbreak and sentimentality are ones that I probably liked the best. Of course, I did like 'Training Daze' because I have always liked Jessie and James, but I know there is an episode that I loved and am just forgetting about... Oh well. It'll come back to me sometime.

I dunno really. Most of the episodes I really like are the ones from Galactic Battles. I think Dawn made things a lot more funnier, like in the Snover ep. when they all got tripped out of Grass Knot. And I bet the full battle between Ash and Paul is going to be epic, especially once Chimchar evolves! =D

The ghost of maidens's peak, Pikachu's good-bye, go west young meowth, Tower of Terror, A Better Pill to Swallow and of course Electric Soldier Porygon.

Man is this hard but, i like the sinnoh gym battle episodes and i love the wallace cup episodes.The keystone pops is hilarious when ash@co mimic TR's

Mine is either "The School Of Hard Knocks" or "Princess Vs. Princess".
The School Of Hard Knocks cause its funny when Pikachu is on the threadmill and falls off and kicks it.

Princess Vs. Princess is when we see Jesse from Team Rocket having a new pokemon which is Lickitung (sp?).

The Ghost of Maiden's Peak
I'm a sentimental fool for the original series and this was easily one of the best episodes for me.
Edit: also the episode where they find that ghost ninetales and it makes lots of illusions.

I have two though, my first favorite is The Tower of Terror, mainly since it saved me from weeks of nightmares since I saw the show first before entering Lavender Town in Red...
The second favorite is Riddle Me This, since Blaine was my favorite gym leader, his riddles gave me decent chuckles, and I finally understood why in Pokemon Puzzle league why he has a Magmar and two character portraits (I have both on VHS, and I played Pokemon Puzzle before I saw the episode)

Electric Soldier Porygon is actually an awesome episode even ignoring all the seizure drama. It's a shame it never got dubbed and an even bigger shame that we never saw Porygon again. I personally have a gut feeling that there were some big plans for Porygon in the whole lore of Pokemon both game and anime but ever since Electric Soldier aired and caused all the trouble it was just too controversial to really bring up again.
I've always liked Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden and Sparks Fly for Magnemite, that's all I can think of right now. There are too many from Johto to mention, pretty much all of the original series before Advanced Generation was good, everything had a really nice natural vibe to it.

I liked Battle of the Badge since it showed Gary's most famous moments from the whole Ten Badges thing, to Gary's first loss xD
And I liked the Tower of Terror, since it relieved me from weeks of nightmare fuel from Lavender Town and the Suicide thing :3..Oh and it had my faveorite Ghost-Type Haunter :DD

Pretty much all seson 1 episodes but here are the one's I loove:
Pokémon, I choose you! - Pikachu does so much funny stuff
Pikachu's Goodbye - It even made me cry
Island of the Giant Pokémon - It had Pokémon speech translation and made Bulbasaur even cooler
Bye Bye Butterfree - Made me cry too
Electric Solier Porygon - I know why it's banned but it was really an awesome episode and had Porygon in it
Friends to the end - It was just a good episode
There are a lot of others too
