Infinity is a concept, not a number. It essentilly means that it will never end. Ever. Like numbers.

Also, the amount of numbers between 0 and 1 is also infinite.

Even with the amount of numbers calculated for Pi, it is still an irrational number; they are yet to find any kind of pattern or repeat.

Interestingly, some scientists believe mushrooms are able to survive in space. Their spores are thought to float in suspended animation for decades, until they land on an asteroid or rock of suitable environment.
