Title: What Realisations Have You Made Today?
Post by: OranBerrySandvich on September 30, 2011, 00:25
Includes epiphanies. Realising that wasps are pointless does not count as a realisation.

I've realised Ihave no introduction topic. Over three thousand posts and a few months in, I suppose it's a little late now.

Wasps are not pointless and if anyone says so I'll set a swarm of hypothetical bees on them.
[They're my favourite kind of bee]

Hey, it's okay. I never had an intro topic either, and I've been here for nearly nine years.

Oh, right. I forgot for a minute. Damn brain, missing important facts.
Wasps are still annoying, and I refuse to think otherwise.

My obsession is getting out of hand. I should see someone about it. But I'm too busy with my obsession.

That its strange how love is supposed to be the one thing which should give us more joy than anything else in the world, yet it spends most of its time ripping us all to shreds.

That all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.

Drinking ginger beer to cure a tea headache and then tea to cure the ginger beer headache doesn't work.

The choices made for intersex children at birth by doctors are horrifying, both in terms of the double-standard in the readiness to assign "proper" sexes to children based on inconsistencies, and the nature of some of the surgery itself which is considered "corrective" and not full-on sexual reassignment surgery [or akin to female circumcision] which it in some cases absolutely is.

marvellous articles to be reading at 1am don't you agree

seriously I had no idea that it was this bad
and continues to happen because the idea of a child growing up and making their own choice to what happens to them while in the meantime having anything other than "ordinary-looking" genitalia is horrifying
nice.

live and learn eh

What Realisations Have You I Today? Well now that I've been asked... How many songs I should be listining to right now. I feel like I should have my IPod filled with Kelly Clarkson songs now. And that I should get off my lazy bum and get a job (that I don't actually have a permit to do so. I'm only 13). I should get some more exersize. No matter how much I eat, I never gain any weight.  Finally, how much I have a headache whenever I go to school. I mean, come on. I never get headaches whenever I go on the computer.

stuff from last post
because of my absence i have to deal with several topics that do not relate to today

first, as to my outbreak about cujo, i realized afterwards that I do not like movies with such emotionally scary scenes. This I should have known prior, but whatever.

Secondly, I realized that I cannot stand people who only remember the 1st gen of Pokemon. Also those who only knew it was a show. Also I must be coming off as very negative because everyone around me is being so ridiculous that aaargh my brains.

Thirdly, physics is a mean class. I like instructions in order (linear) but I write everywhere on the paper and stuff gets messed up and I don't get it and usually during this time I have had headaches by the end of class.

Fourth (today,) I realized that exercise directly after 10 hours of being up and about is a ton more exhausting than right after dinner.

Finally, I realized during my drawing of more MSPA-like Pokemon today that I'm not very good at consistent outlines. However, this is with a touch pad on a laptop...

also, backgrounds are not fun

why does my brain hurt it's like i need a stress gauge floating next to my avatar

EDIT: I realized today.. I must make a captchalogue card folder using craft skill. Oh my gosh it will be so cool if I ever do it.

EDIT 11-23-2011

HOWIE MANDEL HAS SUPERPOWERS.

he can turn into cartoon dad and be in his own cartoon, and his voice summons bobby generic. this is why bobby's dad is so normal in bobby's world - because he is a real person who is in 2D.

my references are deal or no deal's bobby cameo (how did he get there?) and the episode of bobby's world where howie mandel becomes cartoon dad in the intro to go on a road trip.

Expecting nice people on the internet is like expecting a KFC at Burger King.
Don't.
Finding nice people on he internet is a pleasant surprise.
If you can't handle the truth about yourself, and don't have skin thicker than a plank of wood, the internet is no place for you.

UK is an island and in the EU. o.o I assumed it was some Island floating off in the north west, apparently that's Iceland.
After googling that I found out Greenland is HUGE, not in Europe, and property of Denmark. Mind = more blown.

probably the fact that countries are personified and it's all a bit cutesy and it's sometimes at the point where one doesn't want to mention countries or world history around them for fear of starting a barrage of kawaii desu ne

eh, whatever shakes your boat
i mean the fact that wars and major casualties are reduced to scuffles between bishonen characters makes me feel a bit ill, but I could happily sit and watch two hours of The Real A&E which, similarly, may not be everyone's cup of tea.

it's just when it's constantly referred to when talking about actual countries, politics, geography or history that it can get a wee bit annoying

so yeah
that may be why
everyone's different

I can see this, actually. But truly, I play it up a bit :D Just for the fun of being known around. And the fanwork is actually better than the actual thing, heh, I don't like how un-serious it is either. All of this was big and the world events... Things like that need to be played out better, but, a lot of fans have turned what Hetalia missed into some things really touching and heartfelt, making you look at the world in a whole new way. It makes you recognize the countries and that everything that's happened in the past has really left a mark and really is important, even if you aren't a very event-involved person.
It's definitely opened up my eyes to a lot of things.
Crazy, isn't it?
The show itself is something to laugh at; the fanworks are the art...

It's much more serious than it seems it fanwork. The anime is... well, a strange, hard-to-follow cartoon.
But the fanwork is tear jerking. All of it, knowing what's going on in the world around you...
It's a little hard to comprehend just how diverse we all are.
I know that sounded cheesy but seriously it came off the top of my head don't judge

So, I put one of my eggs in dragon cave in the er rooms of like a dozen websites, and decide to 'time' the views because I was bored.

So I put on Queen's 'Don't stop me now', and refresh the page when it finishes...

Well, you'll see for yourself... The first one's from when I started, the second one's from when I finished. ALL OF THESE VIEWS IN THREE AND A HALF MINUTES WOT.

Views | Unique Views | Clicks
724      113    2
1,047   130     2

So I realized that I get about 300 views per three minutes if my eggs have little time left. I should really make the link to the egg redirect to my dA page or something

And I realised that looking after sick pets is not my forte... seeing as I panic way too much when they're in pain. I may be a little over emotional when it comes to my pets...

I also realised that Chinese takeaway is excellent food for cheering up.

Amen to that.

I realized cramming for semester exams aren't a good idea, especially with only five minutes before the exam and a cute guy around to get distracted by.

Spending half an hour in Orpington's big pet store is a great way to spend my time. They have guinea pig collections you know, very fancy.  :3

I also noticed how for the last few weeks I've been eating less and less each day. Today I had some toast and a small pouch of rice. Better get something before bed, I'm starting to look like Gollum. :(

Sorry I'm being so rude, but can you not read? It's for 24 hours in protest of SOPA, PIPA and ACTA.

Wait, what? When does SOPA and PIPA come into affect/effect then, if it passes? I sure hope it doesn't or I will fly straight over to wherever either Mr. McGovern, Mr. Kerry, or Mr. Brown is and give them a piece of my mind. *Looks at Scott Brown's FB page* OK, maybe not Mr. Brown. But, the other guys, yes until I know otherwise. If all else fails, get Mr. Obama's help.
Title: Re: What Realisations Have You Made Today?
Post by: Sizacu on January 18, 2012, 22:10
This is simply a protest against SOPA [not too sure about PIPA, but I suppose it is]. When it does come into effect though, Wikipedia, Youtube and all sorts of websites which are based in the USA will go down because it's a user-driven community. They think that because a website is revolved around the users, there is a possibility that some copyright infringement thingy will go on somehow and choose to block the whole website itself and stuff.

I suppose PUK would go down too? Or is it only for the US? Nvm, did my homework.
Title: Re: What Realisations Have You Made Today?
Post by: OranBerrySandvich on January 18, 2012, 22:18
SOPA is effectively dead now, or rather, suspended indefinitely. Happy days, but PIPA's still ready to go at it.

I have realised that I am surrounded by boxes tht I really must recycle, but won't for some reason. Seriously, it's like a scale version of a box fortress here, with little cardboard knights battling with those little plastic wire-type things cables are bound with.

"like girls" ---> are aware that one isn't really that fussed with girls ----> but i like a small selection of girls maybe i'm just really fussy????? ------> but i like more boys than i do girls ------> realisation that you like boys better than girls ----> general internal denial for many years -----> slowly come round to idea that you might be gay ------> identify as being bi to stay on the safe side -----> realise you like one gender more than the other ------> finally admit being gay

signs include listening to elton john and identifying with Ab Fab episodes

sometimes its a phase
other times it is hormones
more other times it's sort of "i'll find out soon i guess"

legit who knows

you're not going to be out of puberty until your mid 20s and hormones are quite a thing so give it time and keep an open mind you honestly won't know for  sure yet

who knows you might be proper bi????? but yeah if you are having the thought process i listed above don't worry its like legit fine for this to happen

the most important thing is that you don't deny a feeling cos you think you shouldn't be feeling if im going to be deadly serious for once
cos literally you will do nothing but regret it in the future haha

Well, two things really. One is that I need better glasses. Two is that I might have Depression... Woot... Yea, I am not feeling it. Well another thing too, my mom is the worst mother in history. When I show her all the signs pointing to me having Clinical Depression, she blames it on something else I have. I think she's in denial. iMesh is one of the best free music things in the world.
Well, that's about all I've realized, besides the fact that I should be sleeping right now. I barely got any sleep last night due to the rain.

Let's look at it from her point of view.  How would you feel if you raised your daughter as best you could and she turned out with depression?  You'd feel horrid.  You'd feel like you failed as a mother.

I've also just realised that my friend's overexaggerated accent amuses me even when I just remember past conversations. Rosie = Roseh, Sophie = Sopheh etc... he has to concentrate really hard to make his accent "normal" when he goes to placement. xD

Mulholland, I can tell you what my aunt said about losing weight. My aunt said that the key to weight loss is not restricting yourself of foods but limit how much you eat. She's a dietitian and would know what is best. I've lost some weight this way and am not denying myself food. If you want a burger, go for it as long as you don't eat five in a row! I hope this helps you out!

I've realized that Courtney Cox IS Death. Think about it for a minute. Any show she's been on since Friends have gotten canceled except for Scrubs (I think) which was ending ANY way and her movies aren't blockbusters at all. In fact the Scream series seems to have been declining in sales with each movie! And even her MARRIAGE died! She seems to kill any project that comes in contact with her!

even in moderation some foods can be not entirely gr8 for weightloss its all about structured diet plans and calorie intake proportions from protein carbs fats etc
like people wouldn't believe that fats are kind of an essential thing for a diet lmao

you might want to read a book that some guy on somethingawful's Watch and Weight/YLLS/whatever its called now (SA's subforums are usually good sources of researched info) did, which is called "brain over brawn" and is a good starting point to begin at

link here (http://brainoverbrawn.com/get-the-book/)

currently reading through it and while its a bit grain-of-salt in some places its definitely got some good information re: losing weight and doing it sensibly and scientifically

oh right an actual parent i thought you meant the types who actually adopt each other as facebook "mummies" in some weird misguided and ill-informed student in-joke and they're really creepy and almost fetishistic about it and i silently unfriend them 3 months later when i realise that despite being vague friends and/or acquaintances  in middle school i never really liked them anyway and they were pretty horrible sometimes come to think of it

Why did Spider-Man have to be so cool?

That the Humilau City music from BW2 sounds like Lilycove/Pacifidlog from RSE?

ehrmehgerd RSE remake?!

When I first heard it, I thought it sounded more Christmasy because of those bells in the intro. I actually though to myself, "Why is there Christmas music playing right now?"

Well for starters I realised I am socially awkward around othesr my age if I don't have my best mate around me or if I am not on my own turf. No wonder I don't make new friends or get dates with anyone my age -_-

Also found out that I am also not invisable to the males eye. The amount of lads I caught staring at me today... Wow. Now if I could actually talk to them.

THe person I'm surprised that is still alive is Zsa Zsa Gabor. Not because I hate her but rather how much in poor health she had and the major health crisises she had in 2010. In that year alone, Zsa Zsa had fallen and broken her hip, had a leg amputated, pneumonia, was in a coma for a couple of months, and was in such bad shape a priest actually performed the last rites ritual on her. I think it's great she survived because it goes to show how quickly a person whom doctors think will not survive can make a decent recovery to live another two years. What I'm amazed is how many people her age get ONE of her health issues and die. She went through FIVE in less than a year and is still alive! Not in such great health but still....

if you ever have to go to a&e and they give you the choice between a friend driving you in and an ambulance take the ambulance

you get the tests done immediately and the results back quite quick if you came in via ambulance

whereas if you turn up as a self-presenting case you will have to wait like 2 hours for a test 2 hours for another and one and a half hours for the results to come back clear for heart function even though its the lungs and by that point you just go Sod It and go home

its not me we went for cos im fit as a fat fiddle but this might save you 5 hours of waiting around like goddamned chumps like we did so Every Little Helps

What if oxygen is poisonous... And is slowly killing us, therefore making us die of "Old age"?

oxygen IS poisonous. or at least nasty stuff, our white blood cells use it to kill intruders and it is also used to kill and control cancer. its one of the most reactive elements out there, which is why it rusts iron, fuels fire and turns food rancid. but because theres so much of it we learned to make use of its reactivity and depend on it. similar to how rare elements on earth are poisonous to us. but too high a concentration of oxygen will do more harm than good. unless youre an insect (roaches raised in oxygen-rich environments grow to be twice the size as usual, and back in ye olde times with heapo oxygen there were dragonflies the size of birds of prey... ahh <3).
what was i talking about?
oh right yeah. thing is, "old age" death is attributed to something specific, like heart failure or respiratory problems, so youd need to look into underlying causes in more detail.
however, iirc oxygen can cause damage to dna, as does uv radiation (sunlight) and pretty much everything that youre exposed to over time. ie everything. which causes protein abnormalities and cell damage/mutations.
the daily mail was right after all, everything is deadly.

its a nice thing to have as a tumblr-post-titbit though.

That Pokemon is Orotto, the cyclops tree that premired in the PokemonXY preview before the Genesect movie. It clearly isn't a Legendary Pokemon as the video showed five of them in a hoarde battle.

My Pokemon X doesn't seem to have the Luminose City save glitch. I keep saving in the city itself and nothing happens to me. Maybe a couple copies of the game are not affected by it.

That a birthday cake ritual is a satanic ritual. Consider this:

A small gathering of people
Gathering around a small object
Gathering in private
Lighting something on fire
Chanting repetitive words
Fire going out.

This is why I belong in a padded cell.

I've been too hard on someone without realising that they're almost in the same situation as me. Thankfully none of this has been directly spoken to them, but damn, I've got all this sympathy and I still find it hard not to hate people.

It's not like I'm in tears or torn up about it. It's just that I've realised that I've been to quick to judge someone.

As my mother is at work this evening, I must rely on myself for sources of food.

However, my discovery is that there is nothing in the house. Not even some 20p insta-noodles.

I have tried mixing ingredients to see if I get something decent. Instead I made a Ketchup and Jam sandwich.

I have tried ordering a pizza but to order online the total must be at least £10, and I only have £8 which I was GOING to get a pepperoni pizza with.

I'm currently drinking a glass of crushed up sugar cubes. Yum.

I know dat feelz bro. It'll be tough to begin with and you'll never forget them. But if you're headed to uni then you'll make new friends while you're there that will, at least from time to time, take your mind off of your current friends. That my last "relationship" has left me a lot more insecure and messed up than I originally thought. I'm going into full on overly attached girlfriend mode because my bf is moving house and, naturally, is busy, and probably won't have time to see me this week. Which in my head is completely reasonable but I'm somehow convinced that he just doesn't want to see me anymore and doesn't have the guts to tell me.

After the unimaginable pain and hurt that comes from complete betrayal and watching all of your dreams shatter around you, there is numbness. And that is a huge step up from pain, because now I can exist without vomiting and crying. That said, I also realized that I need a break from the internet, and I need to branch out into real life, and leave everything else behind, at least, for a while.

Revising in your room is never a good idea, I've decided.

It goes something like:
-> Opens <subject> book
-> Reads half a page, takes a break
-> Message from someone saying 'Hey'
-> Replies back
-> Talks for half an hour
-> Loses all focus on revision
-> Ends up on Pokemon X

I've realised that the saying "Two halves make a whole" is not entirely accurate, and that "Two halves make a hole" is moreso when applied to reality. The two halves of a relationship leave a gaping hole in the middle when you can't be sure if the other would say 'yes' and you're left in the twilight zone, wondering if you should ask them out to even the smallest thing, just to make those two halves into a hole, rather than having them apart thus leaving you with a hole.

/cryptic metaphor

Like, seriously. Granted, I only watch like 3 shows but still:

In Doctor Who I always liked the master. You know, the evil guy who tries to kill everyone xD

In Glee I like Sebastian who goes out of his way to try and steal Blaine from Kurt.

And then in Ice Age I like Diego, who's not really an antagonist as such but he's certainly not the nicest character xD

His thing once joining the good guys was about overcoming his obstacles. Plus he changed to a good guy due to his morals and having a change of heart, both of which are very heroic traits.

An anti-hero has traditionally villainous traits and the only time he displayed them was during the first film, past then he's most definitely a good guy.

I guess in terms of cartoons in that light it's very difficult to have a consistent anti-hero, and I guess what people define as against the grain and being heroic or villainous is open to interpretation -shrug-

^Captain Hook is an anti-hero. But then again he DOES have a good reason for hating Peter Pan and wanting him dead. After all Peter cut off Hook's hand and THEN fed it to the croc for no good reason whatsoever and thus Hook has lost so much sleep that the pirate is obviously going to be cranky. And when he DOES finally go to sleep, what happens? Peter Pan forcefully wakes Hook up. Yeah. Who's the REAL villian now?

woaaaah i'm not letting somebody badmouth wasps like that.
i mean yeah yellowjackets are aggressive but some paper wasps are docile as hell unless you scare them so it all varies by species.
but calling them useless is kind of dumb, if by that you mean "they don't make honey", implying that insects only exist to be useful to humans, come onnn.

they're part of the food chain, which is more than can be said for humans yeah.
some of them they pollinate flowers (figs in particular are really intertwined with the fig wasp's life cycle) and many of them eat other insects. plus there are the parasitic wasps which range from interesting to downright horrifying haha, depending on whether you like tarantulas/beetles/cockroaches.
but yeah in terms of ~usefulness~ they control the insect population, pretty much every species of insect has a wasp which feeds on it, and many of those species are pests to farmers (like caterpillars) whereas wasps don't eat the crops.
they're also eaten by lots of birds/ampibians/reptiles. and most wasps are solitary instead of being in a big scary hive. many species are really really tiny so you're unlikely to notice them anyway.

also pollen wasps are adorable, potter wasps are lovely and cuckoo wasps are beautiful.

and no i'm not angry about this haha, i just take any excuse to talk about insects.

Plus 'bees die when they sting you wasps don't'.

tbh that's only true for worker honey bees. other kinds of bees have smooth stingers, and can sting multiple times. queen honey bees also have smooth stingers, but they don't leave the hive unless they're mating or fighting other queens.
(drone bees don't sting either: those are the males in the hive, and the sting is a mutation from where the female would lay eggs.. worker bees are sterile females)

interestingly, for those wondering why the hell worker honey bees die after stinging, it's only when stinging thick-skinned mammals like humans that the barbs catch and tear out the sting. also, with the sting staying put it can keep injecting more venom and be more effective (the hive acts as a superorganism and can deal with the loss of a few workers).
hence why you shouldn't grab hold of a sting to remove it: you'll just push more venom out. scrape it out instead with a fingernail or something.
ideally yeaaaah it's just best to leave them alone, as they only sting when they feel the hive/queen is threatened. which is why swarming bees are docile as hell, and will let you scoop them up and move them around: there's nothing to protect. people who are wearing bee beards or the like aren't really at risk of being stung.

so uh yeah bumblebees and other solitary bees can sting as many times as they like (bee power!). wasps, too. i remember hearing that some species of wasps have stings that catch (so they die afterwards) but i never found any further explanation on that, and i doubt they'd be common species of wasps.

also yessss bumblebees are adorable.
metallic sweat bees look cool BUT the blue-banded bee is my personal favourite in terms of looks.
but overall i have to be predictable and say that the honey bee is my favourite bee in general <:

Can I just say that I really like that post Sebastian Moran made? And also that fig wasps lay their eggs in figs as a shelter for  their offspring, but in return must pollinate the fig. Otherwise, the tree will just *know* that the fig wasn't pollinated and will drop the fig, therefore killing all the mini-wasps inside! But if the wasp did its job to pollinate, whether they're the kind that collected the pollen in the fig they were in before or went round to collect pollen before laying their eggs, then the young will hatch quite happily and incest will occur, if memory serves, and the males will spend the rest of their lives living in the fig either chewing out a hole for the females to exit by or just doing their stuff in there while females venture off into the unknown world!

So yeah, if you find a fig underneath a fig tree, you might be eating dead wasps still in their eggs.

Still taking things at a leisurely pace but 2014 is looking okayish, despite the problems.

I never watched the show and think it's too late for me to start now as I am so far behind due to the series being a continuation of a single story. But I DO like Neil Patrick Harris so this Barney will go on my list of Barney's that aren't so bad. Every other Barney seems to be either annoying or complete jerks. Barney the Bear from the MGM series is one reason I don't like the name very much. One cartoon has him beating this poor mule which as a five year old, I thought was incredibly cruel and I didn't even know about animal rights and believed Bambi's mom was still alive and living in another part of the forest after abandoning her fawn.

one of my friends is always like "I hate you in a friend way"

I've realized that while I enjoy the animated Disney movies, the two that I've seen that I've never been crazy about or liked as much are Robin Hood and Peter Pan. I especially dislike Peter Pan because he is more of a bully than a "hero" in that he constantly pesters Hook and wakes the pirate up thus making Hook more of a cranky sleep deprived pirate than an actual villain. I'm not sure why I never really liked Robin Hood.

Christ, don't be like that about it. I meant I didn't care what he was saying about the workload. And yes, I would happen to know that the workload is a huge jump up from GCSE, as I just happen to know someone who has actually told me quite a lot about the differences between that and GCSE.

And yes, I actually don't have a life anyways right now and I don't plan on having one in there. I just want different people because I'm tired of everything as it is now. Y'know, refreshing things a bit? Nothing to do with friends because quite frankly, I know that half of them turn against me anyways.

Actually, BRANDon was a hint to fire, as Brand is fire in German, and May is spring, where leaves are beginning to grow.

Edit: also French for Calm is Calme, which would explain why Calem is spelt the way it is, rather than Callum

Yeah, it was just a random point anyway, doesn't really need a whole topic dedicated to it xD I just like finding hints to RS remakes however wild they are xD

Anyway, back on topic, I kinda realised I get way too excited about things and then get bored of the idea really quick. Like, say on a game there's an unlock I really want that's a lot of ingame money I'll be like "YEAH, I can totally do this" and then after like 5 minutes I'm on a different game xD

eyyyy finally think i may have figured out what is going on with this eczema knockoff i have had going on for years.
still no idea what causes it, apparently COULD be to do with nickel-containing foods (and worsening because i've been eating porridge for breakfast for the last month)?
but i'm not inclined to believe that because a) everything has nickel in it and b) that's just ridiculous come on, "i have a porridge allergy, it gives me blistery hands"?? no.

probably just one of those things that happens, but at least i might have a name for it finally? the doctor i went to see years back just kind of shrugged.
but yes it doesn't bother me too much if i don't touch it, even though the worst bit is in between my fingers so... stuck a plaster over it. result. i am a genius. almost 100% official doctor.

time to finally catch up on watching Grimm.
i hear that Sergeant Wu finally got a first name!!! wow. fav character, now with a name after two and a half seasons. i'm so excited.

Free Speech is such a crap show with so many people, in the audience, who try to be edgy by saying stupid things. I'll watch it and want to punch someone after it. There's only a few people in the audience who even know what they are talking about.

Oh my God, it's so rage inducing. It's just the crap that comes out of peoples mouths. There was one guy trying to make out that the rapist is the victim and a woman who just seemed to spout Tumblr crap.

I would happily go into the audience and throw a giant tuna at them. The whole room would smell like a fish mongers.

The Smurfs were techinically the REAL villians in the cartoon series. The one episode has Gargamel going into his past and it clearly shows that he wasn't really so bad to begin with. He may have wanted to use one of the Smurfs to make some gold but it wasn't for greed. Gargamel wanted to be a great wizard because his mother basically pushed him into it so he could support her in her old age and he was failing and needed something amazing to save his education and make his mother proud. Is that so wrong? The Smurfs ruined the poor guy's dreams and his relationship with his mother which Gargamel said upon seeing this that his mother never forgave him and that is why he became so bitter with the blue things. When presented with this, who's REALLY the bad guy here?

It could be beneficial for me to buy a handful of colour films from Poundland and just brainstorm all through the summer holidays for future photography assignments, provided that I pass and get offered a place on to A2 photography.

I know I should be cautious using Poundland film but I figure that it's going to be mostly harmless.

But Hans was secretly plotting to kill Elsa and THEN Ana as soon as he had the chance. He was even going to let Ana freeze to death. So Hans WAS evil a little bit. Not as much as Mother Gothel or Scar but still evil.

No, but by this theory he wasn't the whole time, only after the trolls cursed him to do so, so I guess you could say he was evil, but not of his own accord

*slowly covers up signs of her love for Hans*

I think he was evil in that he didn't decide things with his heart, he let his head rule and when he found out about Anna's heart being frozen he started prioritising, he knew that his love for Anna probably wasn't strong enough to be true love because he felt that he could give her up to get what he truly wanted and in a sort of Voldemortish way and everything he did from that point was driven by blind ambition to acheive his goals no matter the cost.

Anyway, Dick, I thought Frozen bored you or some crap like that lol

Honestly, the bigger thing. Those manacles, that cover the hands. Hans wouldn't have had time to make them, or set them up in that dungeon. So, they must have been there before the whole fiasco. Elsa wouldn't have put them there. Ana wouldn't have put them there. Just think about that for a moment

I have theories of my own about Disney movies. I think Captain Hook was more of a victim rather than a villain. I mean the HERO of the movie kept bullying the pirate and NEVER let the poor man sleep. Which led to Hook being basically a sleep deprived and cranky person. And when I was four, I actually thought Bambi's mom abandoned him and left to live in the forest without him. The Queen of Hearts was also never evil and wasn't even a villain to begin with. I mean she only put Alice on trial because the Cheshire Cat appeared and royally (pun intended) screwed things up so badly that the Queen thought the Cat belonged to Alice. It was a misunderstanding. Up to the appearance of the Cat, the Queen was VERY nice to Alice and never once tried to hurt her.

I wouldn't necessarily say you're at your best during your youth because you need your youth to learn and develop into the person you become as an adult. It's only as an adult that you realise that you don't have the time you did have when you were younger and you realise the opportunities available decrease. The perfect situation would be able to properly re-visit your youth whilst retaining what had helped you grow as a person so you can truly appreciate those times.

That's always been the problem with life (for me at least, may not be the same with anyone else), I never really appreciated what I had until it had gone and you get left wishing things back to how they were. It ends up being a terrible cycle. It's why the best mentality to have is to appreciate the present and most of all look forward to the future. Getting stuck in the past doesn't do anybody favours (for the most part).

[also yeah sorry your post just got me thinking, sorry ^^;]

I wouldn't necessarily say you're at your best during your youth because you need your youth to learn and develop into the person you become as an adult.

I guess I meant more that, unless you've been training at a gym or whatever, you'd be fitter during youth (by that, I mean like 16-25 sort of age) and you're more able to learn. You're sort of at the peak of your capabilities.

Obviously, as you went on to say, it's as an adult that you're developed as a character, it's just that as you learn what it is you want to do the opportunity to do it has sailed. I guess it'd be useful if we lived to about 18ish, then restarted getting to choose what we did xD

Ah well, best you can do is do everything in order to limit the future as little as possible

Yeah, I guess so. I'd argue more you're at your most opportunistic stage rather than peak though. Plus I'd say not limit your future but rather enhance it so you're more able to look back when you're older and can be happy with what you've experience and achieved =]

Bought some drill bits, wood, mesh, etc. from a DIY store the other day for taxidermy/ aviary housing for rehabs and kept getting told, "that's not a toy that isn't".

I dunno how young the guy thought I was or whether the patronisation was because I'm female O_o; (likely a bit of both, huh?) Can't hold it against the old fella' though, he was in his 90's and had been running that shop for 70yrs.

I often forget that I need to be ID'd for things. I bought glue the other day and the self-serve in B&Q refused to serve me >_>;

That the Scooby-Doo writers must be running out of plotlines for new movies. I mean we got one about Wrestlemania AND a musical literally about vampires within the last two years. I'm pretty sure they are so desperate now that they just decide to throw in some random idea for a movie. I mean it doesn't make sense to have the gang involved with the WWE when there is absolutely NO mention of the franchise in ANY of the previous series or movies and the series has their OWN wrestling federation as shown in several TV episodes. The Blue Falcon gets a pass and is exempt from the randomness since he and Dynomutt ARE Hanna Barbera characters like Scooby and the gang.

it happens because of the profitability aspect of it. WWE always try to expand their audience to younger families and Scooby-Doo has always been about that; two markets therefore come together (to an extent ofc, not all WWE fans will watch it, only a section). Vampire musical is probably due to vampires being a common thing in Scooby-Doo history and everyone loves a good musical.

today i figured out the only way to stop the worst and most terrible of nightblogging is to do it on twitter where you inadvertantly find out there is no Mass Delete button w/o trusting a crap 3rd party website with your tweets
(who will then probably sell them for ad revenue)

you then through due dilligence of dealing with Idiot Late Night Posting have to basically hand-delete the tweets one by one, and after that you feel no desire to do said terrible blogging ever again cos of how awful dealing with all of it was at once,

this is relevant because at the moment im pruning through my old posts on a forum elsewhere and good GOD it feels just like burning my twitter entries one by one, some of the wiffly melodramatic garbage i thought was acceptable to post is just like, wow, i solemnly swear never to do this ever again

Dragon Accent isn't the most powerful Flying move out there. Sky Attack is. Dragon Accent has the same Base Power of Brave Bird which is 120 while Sky Attack has a Power of 140. Dragon Accent seems more powerful only because Rayquaza can learn it and also for the fact it is at level 70 when you get it.

yep, this... i feel like how nasty people are is on a sliding scale of how anonymous they are on said website. ie. 4chan is generally worse than reddit, reddit is worse than huge forums, huge forums are worse than small forums, etc. the lack of an identity really gives people the desire to be rude i guess

I'm in the wrong field of study lol
I just did one of those career tests (just because) and all of the top results were stuff like nursing/medicine/therapy etc. I know I shouldn't rely on them but I remember doing them in school and I usually got similar results then! I think I've pretty much decided unless I can somehow land an amazing job in design then I'm def going into teaching. I've heard horror stories but tbh I think the situation in Scotland is completely different to that of England so..
Going to see in the new year about doing some more experience in schools, my placement in my old primary will be about 4 years old next year so it probably won't be relevant by then. Once I've done that I'll set about applying for a pgde next year in 4th year. Might take a year out in between though hmm
I've been toying with either doing primary teaching or maybe doing secondary cdt/graph comm because my degree and hnd has covered a lot of that? but I think I'd feel out of place doing it as a girl lolol and how I'd probably pass for a 1st year anyway lmao
but yeah I've got my mentoring induction with uni on Thursday so who knows maybe seeing what it's like in industry might change my mind completely!

This woman has added me on Facebook in order to try and trick me into exposing myself on Skype so that she can blackmail me by threatening to send the video to everyone on my friends list unless I pay her.

I called her out on the scam after she refused to send me a time-stamp (thanks 4Chan) and she admitted that she's a scammer and that she needs £200 but because I didn't fall for it she's explaining why she's doing this and it's general "gimme munnie" crap.

Like, I know I come off as a pleb but I generally care about you guys so whatever you do, don't fall for a scam like this.

I've made the realisation that people like this exist.
