So, i'm considering starting a Nuzlocke....
« on: June 12, 2014, 19:27 »
I have a copy of Ruby that i'm not really using atm, and I would love to try a nuzlocke run of it. Some of the users here did them and they turned out well.  Any suggestions in case I decide to start a Ruby Nuzlocke (besides starter choice, I have it chosen already if I do)?

Sorry for the double post, but I still need advice for this. My plan is to start tomorrow. So... any advice?

<Delicious_Scout>: Since you are going to get Torchic, be sure to get a wall early in-game.
<Delicious_Scout>: Pelipper serves as a tank early.
<Delicious_Scout>: ...
<Delicious_Scout>: He left.
<GL>: post it in his topic =]

Basically I am still laughing.

Including Mightyena is also a good idea in order to soften incoming hits, but change it for Gyarados once you get the occasion to.

well have you got any rules in mind already for your Nuzlocke? Such as catching the first Pokémon you encounter or release a mon if it gets defeated in battle or something.

So try for Pelipper? Alright. I'll see if I can get one.

I'll likely release a mon if it "dies" and the first catch rule is a given. Heartbreak will be in place too. The rest... I'll look through other ones on the site to see any that catch my eye.

ahhh right, when you've decided it might be best to put all of that together in your opening post! Also good luck with it, hope it goes well =]
