Title: Post-Delta Episode/E4 Gift
Post by: SaRo|Rapidash on November 20, 2014, 19:52
So apparently after beating the delta episode you get the Johto starters, and after beating the elite 4.again the Unova, and once more for Sinnoh.

Why do we care?

They (edit: possibly?) have their hidden abilities! Contrary serperior and Reckless Emboar are especially exciting, but can't forget Sheer Force Feraligatr and Flash fire Typhlosion!

sorry Meganium, you still suck :(

Are you sure they have their HA?   Everywhere I read suggests this isn't the case unless is a possiblitly thing.

I dunno, I heard they did, but then I've just checked now and some people say they don't? Not sure if it may be chance then.

Either way, you definitely get the starters, unconfirmed on the HA xD

I don't think so, but it's just a case of conflicting sources really.

Even if they don't have their hidden abilities, I just had a thought: do you think these other starters will get unique moves as well, or is this something tied specifically to the Hoenn Starters' Mega Evolutions?* The official site seems to imply that these"Ultimate Moves" (besides Frenzy Plant, etc., which we already know all those respective starters can learn) are incentive for sticking with your starter instead of ditching it, so I couldn't help but make the connection to the other starters as well.

...At any rate, it sure is a lot of choices for me to make. :T

*Blaziken getting Ice Punch baffles me, though, from a flavor perspective.

My Cyndaquil has Blaze. I think that the starters having HA was made up.

Yeah, my friend soft reset a few times and always got a blaze cyndaquil, so I think it's a lie.

I can confirm you only need to beat the elite 4 once and finish the delta episode, to get the Unova starters, you just need to visit your house again and get mum to heal your Pokemon.

Apparently the Ice Punch thing was a mistake on the website's part. You can't actually teach him it in-game, unless I'm corrected.
