I have a smallish theory that I shall put into tiny writing because what if spoilers and

what if cumberbatch's character is a Vulcan?
Ok seems nuts but I paused it during the video where he's in Starfleet black uniform, just after Kirk looks at him and his ears (might just be natural :S) seem to sweep upwards slightly?
Half-Vulcan maybe?
