Trades / Need a Kabuto, have other fossil pokemon for trade
« on: January 01, 2014, 14:42 »
Right, so for some reason kabuto is now a version exclusive to the game I don't have. I have fossils for lileeps, anoriths, cranidos, tirtouga and archen for trade. Could someone help me please?
EDIT: ah and my friend code is: 2621-3543-5368

Older Main Games / PWT
« on: December 15, 2013, 22:45 »
So I'm thinking of finally starting doing the PWT. I have a team of a Hydregion, Cresellia and Terrakion lined up. Before I start, does anyone have any ideas or tips before I start?

Games General / Protect vs Detect
« on: December 07, 2013, 17:40 »
Other than the obvious of PP, what exactly is the difference between these two moves? I've read that in 2nd  and 3rd gen you could alternate between those moves for tons of invincibility, but that seems to have changed in the 4th gen. Is there a difference in priority or something?

Games General / Why is a farfetch'd called farfetch'd?

I ask all the important question around here. Maybe someone thought it evolved into like a doduo or something?

X and Y/OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire / The Pokeradar
« on: November 20, 2013, 19:44 »
So I've been trying to learn how to use the pokeradar to find shiny pokemon. If I have everything right, then the rules for chaining should be:
  • Pick up patches that are 4 spaces away from you
  • Never fight pokemon at the edge of the grass
  • Always go for the patch with the biggest shake. small shakes are likely to break the chain
  • If you can't fit these conditions, reset the radar by walking 50 steps
  • never walk straight up, because you can never clearly see if the patch straight above you has shaken or not (unless you have seen 4 shakes elsewhere)
  • use repels. super repels are most cost efficient
Have I got everything right? If there's something I'm missing, let me know in the comments :)
Anyone mannaged to use this item and snagged a shiny from it?

Character Guides / Hahex
« on: June 08, 2010, 19:17 »
You're probably wondering about the name. As of now, I don't want to reveal this guy's full name yet, I'll tell you now that it's an acronym for something. I lied.
(b)  Age and Gender
Male, 13
(c)  Description
God, I hate writing these
Hahex is around 150 cm tall and weighs 40 kg, a little on the bulky side but hardly noticeable. He has a light/pale skin colour, due to living a generally sheltered life. He has black hair and wears glasses, for what it's worth. Clothing generally consists of whatever is closest to him, typically his grey fleece and faded jeans. During wet weather, he will wear a coat with one white sleave, one grey sleave and blue from the hood to the right waist.
He also wears a yellow fox mask which he bought from the Oldale convinence store.
(ch)  Personality
As Hahex has not been out much very often, he knows very little of the outside world. Even so, he knows who to trust and who not to. Because of events in his past, he has very strange and serious ideas in his head; about life, death and government conspiracies.

(d)  History
His father abandoned him at a very young age, leaving just his mother to look after him. Later, his mother remarried but Hahex did not relate to his new step dad very well and tried to ignore him wherever possible. Due to his parent's jobs, he had access to large amounts of wealth; some people call it "being spoiled". One day, after reading a book his step dad had bought him, Hahex spontaneously decided to go on a journey with pokemon. The book he was reading had nothing to do with journeys or pokemon. In the dead of night, he left the house, leaving just a note in his absence. Hahex quickly acquired a pokemon from a drunk professor (who didn't ask for parent's consent or anything like that) and with a quick thank you, Hahex ran off into the unkown.
On the same night, he rested at Oldale Town where he also bought a mask in order to hide his identity from the police. The next morning, he took a boat across route 103 and, after catching Zubat in the Altering Cave, went to Slateport City and met with Emma McGrath. The next morning, Hahex entered and won the Battle Tent Challenge. Later, he caught an Electrike in Route 110 and was re-united with Emma who insisted on forcing him to meet up with her friends/travelling companions/meat shields.
