I think my main concern is how this guy even rates these names. Granted, many of the nicknames are very bad, some even down right an abomination. However, there are plentiful of decent nicknames and you read the rating, it comes of overly snobby. Maybe I'm a dim wit, and failed to see it as satirical humor rather than a valid nick name rating, but there are times the Name Rater does approve of nicknames... they are few and far in between, but how he deems them good befuddles me. Some nicknames he claims are unoriginal, and some really unoriginal nicknames are given a good praise, just because it's fitting. I guess I'm thinking about it too hard... but it would be neat seeing a community driven nickname rating system. But then the Name Rater would be out of a job. XD

it was more than one rater and also being a jackass was his shtick. tbh i just got mad when sentret rated mine. i wanted my ass dragged constantly by those feisty raters but sentret was always there to tell me i did an excellent job. i for one am furious.

i wouldnt mind a community driven one but thats been recommended before and i figure the admins have a reason for not picking it. usually their reasoning seems to be "cant be bothered" like no shade but thats generally how i read it.

why not do a thread in forum games for it... like, rate the nickname above you. still community driven i suppose.

Seem like it would work, as of recently, I don't think they'll have the NameRater running up again any time soon. Might as well. Plus I do the side of why people like the more critical approach, getting an appraisal from a pretty picky person is like finding a shiny pokemon. XD

I have made a forum in general pokemon discussion if you're interested.

I await you're nicknames.
