It looks like the Alola region's starters are Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio.

People think Popplio on the right looks silly, but aside from the fact that its face looks a little like Oshawott's I don't see a problem with the Pokemon. I would have gone with Litten in the middle, but since my friend is getting that one I'll choose Popplio. Which one will you choose?

I'd choose Litten, though I like the grass type too.

With the exception of gen 4, I always went with fire. I still adore Litten but I think I might choose Rowlet becuase bird XD

I usually go with the starter I like the most, so in Sun and Moon's case, it has to be Rowlet as I love bird type pokemon and it's such a cute little owl < 3

I like all the starters and I have to say that their designs are some of the most creative we've gotten. I like how Rowlet isn't mostly green like all the Grass starters. It would have been nice to see Popplio be mostly another color other than blue but it still is well designed. I don't understand why people don't like it. I find it cute. I will be picking Rowlet mainly because I've wanted another owl Pokemon for years.

I've not seen anyone that dislikes Popplio so far, just people who prefer the other two. This seems to be one of the few generations where ALL the starters are good! But some are still slightly better ;>

I'm going to take the road less traveled on this one. So i'm going with derp seal on this one. I like the other starters, don't get me wrong, but it's derp seal

me and my sister both decided independently of each other that we are both going to get Rowlet. it's just so cute!!!

Both Rowlet and Litten look pretty cute. That said, I'm gonna have to go with Litten on the premise that it's a cat. Hoping that its evolutions have better names though.

I like both Litten and Popplio. I've decided to wait until the gym leaders are revealed, choosing the best starter to battle against the first gym leader.
