... Well, Zy seemed convinced that he/she was in on a joke that Rex and Vicky shared... Maybe he was wrong? o________________o I'M SO CONFUSED.

Wasn't 'Vicky' 16bit? Who told everybody he was a girl but was actually a dude?

Came in here to ask that, I thought she had picks (maybe in drag then) and lots and lots of things about being a lesbian?

I'm almost certain that I've seen pictures of her on more than one occasion and that Brin was close to her at one point? I'd have thought that something would have been mentioned or said.

after heavy investigation i can confirm muhed does indeed suck eggs

Have you checked your results twice?

Random Randomness / Re: What could you never live without?

Interesting topic..

I'd have to actually agree with whoever said hearing, although I'd hate to lose my touch, sight and senses actually. And the other one.. I forget which that is. With my hearing already pretty.. damaged as it is, I'd hate to lose even more. Even without music, it's a horrible feeling when you are completely deaf (I sometimes suffer from heavy colds which pretty much knock my able ear out) and really.. really disorientating.

As for material possessions, I do reckon I could live without my mobile phone. I had to do so earlier on this year when my old phone decided to be really considerate and die on me, and I didn't actually miss it as much as I thought I would. It'd probably be the hardest thing to get over, though. I'd actually say.. now that I've had the freedom of having such, I'd be unable to live without my car (so in turn, petrol, so in turn, moneh). I don't think there's really any days at the moment where I don't use it unless I'm on holiday, or ill.. there's just a freedom and power it gives you, being able to go wherever whenever.. I'd really hate to go back to relying on public transport. Although biking looks fun and challenging..

Oh no... So shortly after your grandmother? =/ Are you doing okay?

With the exception of suddenly taking off in after-meet things, surprisingly so thanks. That being said, I've come home and as feared gone straight to my grandad's room where I've resided since half six waiting for the end. Utterly shattered.

It brought up a few things I'd forgotten about. Anyone else other than me NOT know that Jess was actually a guy? And does anyone remember the rampaging reaction to any 'sprite theft' that went on in the Sprite Fan Art board?

.. um, sorry, what? Jess was a dude?

[Obi Wan] - "I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."

'Mega-Mawile' and 'Mega-Absol' should have just been flat out evolutions of both Pokémon. Really do not like anything about the concept of a 'Mega' evolution, just feels like they're taking the basic biology of Pokémon evolution away from it and trying to cover up a drought of ideas with some very risky, shiny features.

Really not warming to me at the moment, not a knee-jerk or anything, just one of the few things I never thought would get introduced..

The itsy-bitsy admin walked into this game
Down came the count, he washed them all away
Out came the tears, you'll have to start again
And the itsy-bitsy admin shall come about again

Much love xx

No. Dragons need a nerf more than anything else in the game, it's ridiculous. I think people are just upset that they won't be able to spam Draco Meteor/Outrage as much anymore, if Fairy is indeed resistant/immune to Dragon, which it well should be. They're also probably not going to retcon any past types to now be SE to Dragon, that makes no sense.

This is perhaps one of the few things I think we may disagree on here mate.

I'll admit I'm probably bias as Dragons are one of my favourite Pokémon types, but..

Isn't the entire point of the Dragon type is that they are overpowered? They're meant to be the mythical, overstrengthed creatures that our own mythologies portray them as, supposedly powerful and wise whilst being relatively hard to beat or match. Even in other media, the strongest bosses in a lot of fantasy games are in fact Dragons. That's presumeably why the majority of Dragon types (I'm pretending you don't exist Altaria) are very powerful by their base stats, as well as the Dragon type being Super Effective against itself.

I don't think it's so much about being unable to spam Draco Meteor and Outrage, it's more about a slight loss in identity (in a sense..) for the Dragon type, especially if the Fairy type is immune to their attacks. I don't think they'll retcon any past types either, only those that involve the Fairy type as expected, but it'd be disappointed if they did just to nerf a type that's meant to be overpowered anyway.

Forum games wasn't a thing until like 2006 or something

Could well be Role Play which, I believe, didn't gain towards a post count.

I think a big reason as to why people go and stay gone is because they're embarrassed to come back. I've seen way too many people 'return' to PKMN.NET saying stuff like "omg everyone hated me I was so awful hopefully you've all forgiven me now" and they kind of awkwardly try to post but you can tell they're still apprehensive because of some drama that went down in 2007 or something.

I think it's safe to say that pretty much everything is water under the bridge at this point, most people join PKMN.NET when they are young and thus act kind of ridiculous and get caught up in some kind of drama. I think everyone should just forget about it and turn over a new leaf.

It isn't so much about turning over leaves and forgetting the past, a LOT of people who were active around that time have simply grown up and discovered how much time living actually takes up. Certainly with the age group a lot of us were at, College and University were the next stops to which a lot of people find their time diminishes. Once that happens, people move on and it's forgotten about. I certainly have tripped my forums and websites down to just a main few these days which I have just enough free time to participate in.

Some people will always hold a grudge like.. both ways that is; to people on here, and that they think it's returned..

Random Randomness / Re: Do you believe in ghosts?
« on: July 31, 2013, 09:00 »
It's a nice thought isn't it, that each and every one of us (somehow isolated to humans) have a soul and that once the body passes the soul preserves and lives on, but that sometimes those souls are not at rest and so remain here to find that peace explaining why we so often see deceased relatives as opposed to complete strangers.

My belief is that based entirely on available scientific evidence which'd suggest that the vast, vast majority of 'visitings' that people have - you know, the classic late at night or early in the morning visitation where their relative is at the foot of their bed or at their bedroom door - is due to their rapid awakening whilst still in the REM stage of sleep, thus confusing and tricking the mind into something that may not be true. You snap out of those dreams so quickly it's disorientating. Sleep paralysis, which was never well documented until recently, has probably also contributed to a conception of ghosts.

I think it's far more to do with human psychology and how our brains work, we're still to fully understand how our brains and our minds work, than an external being such as a soul. The mind can and does play tricks on you, I think there's more in that than a 'ghostly' vision.

That being said, that's probably due to any experiences I've had with 'ghosts' have been fitting to the above, although it did shake me up at the time. Two friends of mine who'd have no reason to make things up both have a very opposite view due to their own experiences. One of them grew up in a house that had had a domestic violence history prior to his family moving in and he used to apparently witness some of his shelves being 'cleared' in a sweeping matter. Apparently the house gave off an aura which frightened his girlfriend off visiting full stop. The other used to see a ghost of a man in his bedroom which, again apparently, was the father of the family who used to live there but had died in a car accident, presumably visiting his family home to see his family again. He only made the connection when he was talking to his neighbours who'd been there before showed him a picture and he discovered it was the 'same' person.

But I don't know.. the first one can be explained through dodgy shelves, but the second one is more puzzling. Even the aura aspect can be explained through preconceptions; if you know something has happened there, you tend to feel more on edge. Maybe it's just me, I've visited supposed haunted grounds and places where abuse occurred and never felt anything, yet others have..

Even on camera, 'ghost' footage never seems to convince me other than that it's a series of coincidences that portrayed together gives the impression of such. People'll take what they want from such videos, stories etc..
