In the same way that Espurr being a cat will have gotten it a lot of fans, the fact it's a cat and has a lot of fans will result in a lot of people disliking it for pretty much that reason. Then there are the people who dislike its design or hate cats (fair play to both).

The eyes are a little creepy if you stare too long. But then again my cats stare at me for long periods of time usually so I guess I'm just used to it <.<

I like the way its evolutions look so different from one another, in a similar vein to how Jellicent and Frillish look largely different depending on the gender. I love the male Meowstic's colouring etc.

Still think the eyes are better than Quilladin's creepy Norman Bates/Billy the Dummy smile.... *shudder*

You posted loads of pictures of Espurr with writing underneath... This does not make it creepy.

It has loads if fans because of good design and a fairly wide move pool... Not because it is a cat. I hate dogs but I still really like dog pokemon.... :-)

Much as I agree (barring the dogs part, I love dogs, but that's another matter entirely) it has a lot more fans because, for whatever reason, the internet is fascinated with cats.

You see, the internet has never been more intrigued by tiny puffballs trying to reach shelves, but instead jumping into a pit.

Espurr just looks unnerving with that stare.

Shame it doesn't have that Unnerve ability.

Or intimidate for that matter.

Well, I'd actually agree with you on this one. Expressionless is my usual face anyways.

i love espurr and i don't see how people editing text underneath it makes it actually creepy, i think it's cute

i just don't think either meowstic forms really resemble felines, especially the male. they look more like foxes, sort of. but of course, since they're intended to be cats, i still fancy them. i guess if i had to compare them to the cats of other gens....

persian > liepard > meowstic > purugly > delcatty
you're never gonna love me, so what's the use
