According to the facebook pages of some Game Stores, they'll be offering us the Sinnoh Legendary Dragon Trio (Palkia, Dialga and Giratina) in glorious shinyness. The 3 will be offered one at a time as follows;
August 30th 2013 to September 12th 2013- Dialga
September 13th to September 26th- Palkia
September 27th to October 12th- Giratina
Not officially confirmed by Nintendo or the Game website yet, so could be incorrect. Interested to see if the trio though will either be like the shiny Legendary Dogs that unlocked an event in BW meaning a possible event unlock in X and Y, or just a shameless plug to hype us up for the new games. XD

If it unlocks an event in X and Y like the Shiny Legendary Dogs in BW, chances are other countries could get the event.

If it did unlock an event, wouldn't Japan have had it first? Or have they already had this event?

No, because this time they decided that the entire world would get the game at the same time. So Japan doesn't have a head start on X and Y, I believe.

I'm definitely going to get the Dialga, not too fussed on the Palkia, and the Giratina would be cool. I'll have to see if I can get into town when they're on ;D

I'm pretty excited for these events. I do kind of wish that more Pokemon fans went to the same Game as me, though. I'm always pretty embarrassed being the only one going up to the counter.

I've just thought; what do the shadow triad give you on marvellous bridge? The 3 orbs!
Could that be pointing towards this having something to do with Ghetsis? Maybe an event in the new game to get genesect?

Awww man September is the month I'm away! D; well our uni soc will undoubtedly invade our local Game for each one, so if anyone is in the York area and finds the shop pretty much full of 20-year-olds, that's why - go talk to them, they're friendly :3

Confirmed for Australia. Will be available at participating EB Games and JB Hi-Fi Stores. This event is to run from August 30th 2013 to September 12th 2013 and is to offer a download of a Shiny Dialga. On September 13th to September 26th, a Shiny Palkia will be distributed and from September 27th to October 11th, a shiny Giratina will be distributed

Maybe transfering them to X and Y unlocks a nice Shiny Arceus event to complete the set? :laugh:

^Or just an Arceus so only those who hunt shinies can get a shiny one...MWAHAHAHA. Or it could be shiny locked.

It's super convinient and stuff but I miss the days you got a special ticket to an event island rather than just having a delivery man show up at the Pokemon center and say "Hey there kid, there's a delivery for you - it's a super rare coloured version of one of the most terrifying legendary Pokemon in the word, sign here please!"
They have SPOTPASS now on X/Y. They could just make it so every time there's an event the event island changes rather than downloads..
Oh well, I guess there will be demos for X/Y in store.

Right, take this with a massive pinch of salt as always, but I went into GAME today and got talking to the guys on the counter about the event and, while they clearly knew nothing about Pokémon, they were adamant that the shiny Creation Trio eventmon would "evolve" upon transfer to X&Y.
Now this of course could be the usual nonsense spouted by game shop employees but.. possible Mega forms~?

No, they're distributed via local wireless, which means just going into the store and downloading them.

Just got my 4 shiny Dialgas today, it seems that the natures are random unlike the shiny dog trio.

I have gotten all 3, 2 copies of each :D
For the first one I stood outside the shop and di it but for the second two I had to ask at the coutner for the guy to press the distribute button. It was funny cos the staff had no idea about it lol

i have a spare dialga and giritina but I missed out on Palkia. Does anyone have a spare they're willing to trade?
