heck yeah my mans Pokémon GO finally came out last night (in Australia/New Zealand) which means if you want to, you can download and play it right now. I've been playing it for like 20 minutes in my room and I've caught Bulbasaur, Pidgey, Tentacool, and 3 Weedles (and in the time I spent writing this I caught another Pidgey). I don't think Pokémon usually occur on your position this easily, but I used an incense which draws Pokémon to my location for 30 minutes so it's been pretty easy for me.
Capturing Pokémon is fairly easy, you just have to throw the ball at them, and it seems like there are a lot of PokéStops and Gyms all over the place. I don't know what either of them do since I haven't been outside to a PokéStop yet, and you need to be Level 5 to access a Gym, but that's cool.
Right now, they only have Kanto Pokémon available, but I'm sure they want to expand the Pokémon you can catch in the future, considering there are 731 (?) Pokémon as of X/Y.
I'm excited to go and take a shower then go outside and catch me some more Pokémon!

Good thing I just got a job. Can get a new phone that actually has a decent amount of room so I can dead inside and catch pokemon at the same time. Everyone wins.

if you have an iPhone you can make an iTunes account with an American address and download from the American App Store
It's fun when it's not having server troubles. Caught a spearow in Tesco earlier.

i went downtown and there were SO many people playing PGO around town! i ended up setting up a lure and literally like 50 people ended up swarming around it and we ended up freaking the cops out. they came up to our car and shined flashlights at us and were like "oh you guys are playing that new pokemon game? that's fine but you all can't be here and gotta leave" and i'm like damn i spent that money on a lure. but what a time to be alive.
BTW guys, how i got the lures is download google play surveys, they give you like 20 cents for one question surveys, 90% of which are "are you hispanic or latino". it's sick and i've got like $30 from it

not going to bother cheating to get it earlier, as its kind of illegal and people are getting banned for it so im gonna play it safe

At most it's against Apple's TOS to use a US/AUS/NZ account outside of those regions, so they'll probably ban that account after a while (which won't be an issue because by then you can just download the UK one, and your progress will be tied to a separate Google account), but it's hardly illegal.

The only people that have been banned are people using modified apps, which are obviously going to get you banned because that's cheating. Sideloading an app hasn't gotten anyone banned and anyone who tells you that is lying.
Anyway, been having a lot of fun with GO this week, my Pokédex is coming along nicely too, at 48/151. Strongest Pokémon is a 832 Magmar. Was sat down in the city centre yesterday near a Gym and it was fascinating watching how many people walked past playing the game catching Pokémon or approaching the gym. When it releases officially here it's going to be huge, I'm so excited.

I've been having a lot of fun, my friends and I were running all around town from 2 pm to 11 pm today catching pokemon and meeting other trainers. It is INSANE how many people are out playing it in my town. Friday night we had a crowd of 60 but average crowds are like 40 people. The police stopped by again and one of the officers downloaded the app and was asking us for tips and we helped her get started! I love this game, it's so cool, it's really nice to get out and walk around town, meet likeminded people, and then steamroll your enemies' gyms.

yeah its like barely illegal at all... i dont even think apple cares that much? ive been using the different account thing for months to play pazumatsu which is only available in japanese app stores.
most people i see getting banned are android users downloading the .apk from sites. modified or not, it seems to just be an issue there.
but apple barely care.

i caved and downloded it, i caught a rattata and pidgey. there's a gastly nearby (probably in my old high school coz its religious) but i cant find it

also the incense i used it, caught two pokemon, crashed, and now i think ive lost it
and my pokemon have disapeared but theyre in the pokedex???? what do

Finally have a day off work so I could spend a bit of time wandering about town with this! Got my ass handed to me at a gym but I did manage to find a Clefairy. Also I've learned more about this town through Pokespots that I have from living here for the past 31 years.

The gym nearby had a 611 CP Pidgeotto that blew away (no pun intended) my whole team. The other gym Pokémon I could've battled were a 700 something CP Hypno and 935 CP Magmar. On the bright side I caught Gastly, Krabby, Hypno and Shellder. Horsea, Fearow, Seel and Staryu got away

nearing level 5, but i keep catching common pokemon. got like 4 eggs though so once my game starts working whenim walking im gonna be getting moe pokemon. i have 2 2km ones, one 5km one, and i have a 10 km one in my incubator atm.
for those wondering: this (http://i.imgur.com/9HdbtXA.jpg) looks like the possible pokemon i could get. hoping for a growlithe and not too sure about the 10km one, though, they're all good options. scyther would be great but i feel like electrabzz or lapras would be the great.

Just to make sure, since it's not made clear anywhere in the game, you know you have to keep the app open and active, and you can't lock your phone or let it sleep or anything for your steps to count and to encounter random Pokémon, right? I only know that because I saw it on the subreddit, otherwise I'd probably still be locking my phone all the time and wondering "why nothing count help"

my past few days have been wake up, work, pokemon go, sleep. it's pretty bad but i mean i'm level 17 and have a bunch of cool pokemon so like
i have a 1333 vaporeon, 1055 lapras, 1021 hypno, 815 vaporeon, 756 jynx, and 600 raticate for my gym battling team
some other highlights include a 486 eevee, 496 slowpoke, 444 eevee, 471 bellsprout, and a 481 drowzee, all of which should be ~1500 when i pop a lucky egg and evolve them all
just letting you guys know by the way if you go over like 15 - 20 mph then the app will stop hatching your eggs, so make sure you're walking / biking to hatch them. Or crawling your way through traffic.

It's finally had official UK release but so far I've only got my starter. I'm itching to go outside though, which is pissing off my boyfriend ("it's a waste of time and also Digimon is better" sure whateva dude) but there's a jynx nearby and I want it

IT'S HERE IN THE UK and i have caught 234093204239 pidgeys and rattatas and there's only ONE pokestop in my town and no gyms i'm being oppressed

Did you know that they're taking suggestions for pokestops (and maybe gyms) now? I mean it could be false but i've heard they are.

I've come across lots of glitches in Pokémon Go like when the game freezes when you're trying to catch a pokemon. But today I think I found the most interesting glitch of all. I challenged a gym and my Gastly got KO'd, but instead of fainting, it evolved into a Haunter and defeated the opponent. Then I checked back on it after the gym battle and it was a fainted Gastly again...

I hope I'm not the only one whose game glitches EVERY time you catch a Pokemon?
On the screen where it zooms in on the Pokeball it freezes but doesn't shut down and then I have to reboot the entire app multiple times before it works again

After the pain of having a Dragonite run away, I caught a Pigeot the other night and then the game crashed and when it restarted I didn't have the Pigeot anymore. Also every time I try to use the AR mode I get some stupid error message.

There's no Pokestops in my part of town :') didn't realise how good it actually was in Northampton until I came home. Gonna get on to Niantic because I have a few suggestions

there are two workarounds for the freezing, but i dont remember the one thats supposed to perma fix it.
wait until the 'loading pokeball' flashes on your frozen screen before you close and reopen the app. it still registers, its just that the rest of the app is like 'haha nope'

there was a lure at my local pokéstop and i tried to get more pokeballs and it only gave me 2 before i pulled the "try again later" garbage. smh

I can't even get mine to work! I get to the loading screen and then I get kicked out basically and my home screen is forced out. It is annoying. I wasted an hour trying to get on.

I finally figured out what to do with all the Spearow, Drowzee, Pidgey, Zubat, and Rattata candies I've collected. Up until now I've been catching every Pokémon I see (for XP) and releasing the ones I don't need, but now I'll make sure to evolve them before doing so. I get 500 XP every time I evolve a Pokémon, so I can level up more quickly. It's a good use of the 400+ Rattata candies I have. I just wish I'd realized this earlier, then I would be lv. 25 instead of 18 right now
edit: pairing it with Lucky Eggs has allowed me to grow three levels in a day

I got pokemon go. I caught a Squirtle. I don't really know what to do. All I know is you walk around outside looking for pokemon and you catch them. I don't know anything else.

I've had pokemon go for one day now and I have 24 pokemon, I'm level 4 and pretty close to level 5, and I have 4 eggs, one which is 2 km away from hatching.
Also I walked too far and got a little lost, overheated pretty badly, got tired out because of all the hills around here, got yelled at by some kids in a car, and got plenty of looks from strangers.
Overall, it was a good day. Still not sure which team to go with when I hit level 5 though.

Still having a ton of fun with the game, and the servers seem a looooooot better today. Walked 20km today in pursuit of that (and other) Scyther(s). Super good day but boy am I tired.

I caught a Dratini and a Diglett, but Cubone evaded me. I also powered up my Gengar as much as possible at lv. 22, and I'm almost at 23.
I realized earlier today that whoever made Pokemon Go is a genius. The game encourages people to go outside, but since it's not safe for younger kids to be out alone their parents accompany them, also playing Pokemon Go. This in turn gets the parents into the game.
