Not up to RTD anymore, its Steven Moffat come Season 5.
Is he stepping down from being the Headwriter then?

But Moffat wrote The Girl in the Fireplace, Blink, Silence in the Library, The Empty Child [& the rest of their 2-parters etc].. most of my favourite episodes. Even if they're not favourites, they're good episodes.
Well, for me s:
If he's head writer, then the series will probably start being a bit more like that. A bit more... creepy? Bizarre. Unnerving. Quirky~ But I'd be expecting the good humour etc that makes it a family show :v yeah.

I loved Blink, though I had to watch it from the top of the stairs at a few points. I thought it was really clever c:
Not that every episode that isn't Moffat is rubbish, of course: I loved Father's Day and Human Nature/The Family Of Blood, for one.
Oh, and The Impossible Planet. And others I forget.

Still. We'll see how he does.
I'm not an avid fan so I can't really speak from... well, experience, I guess o0 Haven't watched much of the older series.

Yes.

Don't worry, Richard, I remember. ;) You saved me from having to bother to find this topic to post in it. I've got it ready to be recorded on my Sky Planner. Can't wait. <3 It's called Planet Of The Dead.

I'm looking forward to it, but I really am hoping they pick up some loose ends in the next specials. Such as the Queen Elizabeth recognising The Doctor in seires 2...and River Song obviously meeting the Doctor again...since from her reaction, she had met him in that form before...
Yes.

^ Yes, I remember those events. I thought they would follow on from the Queen Elizabeth event much sooner, but they didn't. D:

Is there going to be any more specials?

Yes, it's hard to see how she'll come in given that RTD recently confirmed that the Doctor's companion for the last two specials will, in fact, be Wilf. Yes, I'm surprised too.

Well... it's possible that his meeting with Elizabeth may take place outside any particular episode.

Well, the Elizabeth thing could easily happen in any future book or audio play.

Woo, even more Sci-Fi goodness (The other being Red Dwarf =D)

River Song could be explained simply by the fact she seemed to know him so well.. and will obviously have seen him with different faces and personality quirks..  perhaps she just thought that regeneration was one she's not personally come across yet..

Hmm..  the trailer for tomorrows episode reminded me of a film..  with Vin Diesel in i believe..  Pitch Black?  something like that
should be good anyway =P
