I know we just got the game, but we've all had awesome moments by now. We've all also had struggles (looking at you ralts lovers). So here's where you can celebrate or vent.
Success:
Got a surskit, supposedly rare
Struggle:
Ralts appeared in the overworld twice, then disappeared not even a second later both times. This caused me to say some words that would get me banned from a church.
Success:
Finally got the ralts on try #3
Struggle: I wanted a male because of gallade.
Also, if anyone has a male ralts and wants a female, ring me up.

Struggle: I've decided to play the game with Exp. Share off because I don't like how one Pokemon gets over-leveled and I never get to use it.
Triumph: I pre-bred all 6 Pokemon on Y and hatched them on OR, and will be going through my entire OR playthrough with all 6 of my favorite Pokemon, something I've never done before, and they're competitively bred and Super Trained and all that good stuff. It's already becoming a very awesome adventure, and I'm loving every minute of it.

The struggle is real.
Triumph: I pre-bred all 6 Pokemon on Y and hatched them on OR, and will be going through my entire OR playthrough with all 6 of my favorite Pokemon, something I've never done before, and they're competitively bred and Super Trained and all that good stuff. Are any of the Legendaries rebattleble? If not then I screwed up with Deoxys.

Yes, most of the legendaries are indeed rebattleable. However, I don't know about Rayquaza and Deoxys.

I just saw elsewhere that Deoxys comes back after you defeat the E4 again.

Struggle(s):
- In Petalburg Woods I ran into one of those Pokemon hiding in the grass. It was a level 15 shroomish that KO'd my entire team.
- I'm a really slow player, preferring to stay longer on a certain route just to train some more and catch all the area's Pokemon. This keeps me behind on my journey while everyone else around me beats the game. Hope that doesn't happen this time!
- I think my Pokemon are a little overtrained. At their current level, they kill every wild Pokemon that I want to catch. But, if they were at any lower level, they wouldn't be enough to take on the trainers.
- I have an obsessive-compulsive playing style, so I fret over whether I've caught all the Pokemon that you can find in the area. If there's a Pokemon you've never seen before, you won't know that you still have to catch it to complete the area.
Triumph(s):
- With 2 Gym badges, I've already full evolved all my Pokemon, except Grovyle, of course.
Current team (hope a wild lv. 15 shroomish doesn't KO it again):

- Oh, and shiny Taillow pretty early on in the game. Yay!

I somehow Thunderbolted the Spiritomb with a level 75 Rayquaza with its HP down to close to one like False Swipe would do and then it used Memento.

Triumphs:
- Managed to find a Ralts after about half an hour (I was going to name it Alice, but the first one I found was male and I wasn't about to spent another half an hour looking for a female, so I named it after another friend of mine whose favorite pokemon is Gardevoir, so now I have a Gardevoir named Dave and he is beautiful)
- Found out Gardevoir is the answer to everything Team Aqua will throw at you
- Won the cuteness super contest with an Anorith
- Caught Kyogre just before it swept my team
- Caught 2/3 of the lake trio (can't seem to find Uxie)
- Found a Gothita on Route 102
Struggles:
- I did not think my team through at all and now half of it is psychic
- I can't find the Waterfall HM
- Not being able to find Uxie is bothering me
- Can't find any other legendaries

Triumph: Awesome team of Gallade, female Kirlia, Marshtomp, Nuzleaf, Event Metang, and Goomy
Struggle: Their natural moves were so pathetic I had to use Bank to put them in Y and bombard them with TMs.

*I got a Makuhita with Bullet Punch thanks to DexNav, and she's now a Hariyama. She's my bro for sure, can't wait to unlock her true potential.
*Won the Master Rank Cool contest by the skin of my teeth! Yoko wasn't there with her Gyarados, though, so that helped.
Struggle(s):
*Master Rank Cool contest. My trusty Masquerain's Fell Stinger has helped it out a lot in the earlier ranks, but I guess since I don't have any good appeal combos for it, it struggles against Yoko And Gyalaxy, but if it's not them then it's the Blackbelt and his Heracross. Never mind, see above in TRIUMPHS. (though I guess my Masquerain could stand to learn some better moves still, eheh)
*Not sure what to do about my team, which currently has only four regular members, redundant coverage and a massive Flying-type weakness, and so far I lack any good Rock-type moves for that matter. Caught a Skarmory, thinking of adding that to the final team, but that'd take some grinding so yeah.

Wonder Trading those Cascoons actually landed me some pretty neat Pokemon in turn. No legendaies, but I mean some decent non-Hoenn Pokemon.

Struggles:
Surskit still hasn't evolved at level 20, plus if you go up against a pokemon that you can't bubblebeam to death, you're screwed.
Paralysis and poison
A level 23 wild marill takes out 2 of my 5 team members, glad it's not nuzlocke.
Surskit and it's shoddy attack stat.

Doing Romeo and Juliet with two psychics? What's that mean?
Triumphs:
- Won all 5 Master Ranks with Destroyer II without ever having given him any Pokeblocks
- Found and caught a Shiny Numel in a horde in Fiery Path.
Struggles:
- My team is ridiculously overpowered without Exp. Share at such an early point in the game. It's hard to catch a Pokemon w/o killing it, and I really dislike False Swipe.
- My OCD playing style is getting the better of me. I've spent like, 26 hours playing with only 4 Gym Badges. I literally pass a route, beat all the trainers there, then come back just to dowse for items in every corner and rebattle every single one of the trainers. I wanted to get into competitive this game, but at this rate I won't be.. :(

My team of Blaziken, Gardevoir, Salamence, Manectric, Vaporeon and Blissey just hit level 100, which is quite a struggle in these games. I'm pretty proud of these 6.

Having both games, my plan for Omega Ruby is to catch the first Pokémon of each type that I find, not worrying about stats unless the ability is relevant, and with no trades finish the game at quite a fast pace.
Alpha Sapphire will be the game where I breed perfect Pokémon and EV train them, with help from X and Bank if necessary.

My triumphs:
Beat the first five Gyms the day of release
Found and caught a Surskit. Triumph because it was near Petalburg City and it was the very first Pokemon I found on that route.
Got a Water Pulse Spinda and never noticed it was special until two days ago
Beat Tate and Liza with only sacrificing Glalie. It took the blunt of Whiscash's Surf but it was worth it.
Decimated Wallace with Mega Glalie and Freeze Dry. The guy didn't even get to attack once other than a Rain Dance.
Defeated Steven with only three Pokemon.
Struggles:
Catching Deoxys after the E4 the second time. I started off with about 120 Ultra Balls and by the time I caught it, I had only 93 of them left. It took out Rayquaza with one hit (it didn't even use Cosmic Power!) and I had my shiny Metagross at level 55 I think and it was out levelled by a lot but somehow kept surviving every hit it recieved.

Finding wild Pikachu with Thunder Punch, a female with a Light Ball but no Egg moves, another with Lucky Chant, and one with Fake Out in less than 30 minutes. I LOVE Dexnav!!!! :D

Triumph: 31/x/31/30/30/31 HP Ground Timid Pidgey

Triumph: Used Dexnav to find a Sableye with Metal Burst. Also got Kyurem after about 60 failed catches with Ultra Balls. Used Shiny Metagross and Hold Back

- Beating one of the Master Ranks with Lisia and Ali in it got me Lucarionite
- I think I've figured out that Lisia is the niece of Gym Leader Wallace

- Maxie KO'd two of my Pokemon yesterday with his Camerupt. Wow.

Actually getting the game with a Steelbook without having preordered the game for the same price as a standard copy, not doing anything useful yet and having six Pokémon already.

With Destroyer II's Thief I got 2 Metal Coats, a Grip Claw, and 4 Focus Bands from wild Pokemon I've run into.
Struggles:
Literally ran all the way back to Mauville City just to get the Acro Bike so I could reach that TM in jagged pass. That trip made my pokemon even more overleveled

Triumph: Beat the Coolness Master Rank with Cosplay Pikachu. I was up against Yoko and that Gyrados used Hyper Beam in the fourth round so it was a bit easier since it took itself out. I won the Contest by being first and using Electroball. Also won the Super Cleverness Contest with my Deoxys thanks to two Calm Minds and Secret Power. I only used Psycho Boost once when I was the last Pokemon in line and was safe to use without being startled.

Struggles: Hunting high and low for a Marill because damn I love Fairy types and having to ditch it because it kept fainting.

also seconding 'kirlia is hard to level' god damn i dont even like gardevoir enough for the hassle of levelling it up and yet here i am with a gardevoir now. i just wanted a useful fairy type but i cant get mawile and god damn i hate azumarills design so much. i dont like altaria either but its looking like i might end up going for it because of its typing.
ALSO didnt catch a zubat in order to get a crobat smh gotta go back and get one and maybe also an aron (which are only in gotdam dewford and i dont have fly yet UGH)

- I kicked Yuk and Birdy II from my team. I really want a Golem and a Flygon, but that leaves me with no Pokemon that can learn Surf. I can't make room for one that can, since I like the rest of my team.

Struggle: Took 30 Ultra Balls to catch Cresslia.
Use Dusk Balls.

I start with a Quick ball, then use Hunter, my trusty Watchog, to whittle them down, and then I use Dusks, and if that doesn't work, I use a few of my hundreds of standard pokeballs to draw it out, then I use a timer.

It took 80 balls to catch Cresselia? Was Cresselia at full health or something? Because like at 5% HP and with sleep or something you end up with like a 7-10% chance of capture (not including critical captures) if you keep chucking Dusk Balls.
That scenario has literally anywhere from a .02 to a .3% chance of happening. In fact you should have, on average, caught it anywhere from 5.6 to 8 times by the time you chucked 80 balls at it.
Ultra Ball is SOMEWHAT understandable because it's like 4/7 the Dusk Ball in terms of catch rate, but Cresselia would've struggled to death by then or you would've run out of PP for sleep.

i wasted like twenty ultra balls tryin to catch deoxys at low health, it healed up w/ recover so i just sighed and kept throwing ultra balls and caught it on full heath [squinting]

If he wasn't using Sleep or Paralysis, that would have reduced his chances considerably. Sleep is better, but Paralysis is useful as it never goes away and moves that inflict it are more common.

TRIUMPH: 416 Soft Resets for shiny Reshiram
Struggle: Synchronize didn't work and it's Impish nature xD

Struggle: spending a few hours chain fishing, and keep acidentaly breaking my chains
Triumph: catching my first ORAS shiny, a Magikarp :D

Struggle: Wattson was a pain to beat, 3 of my pokemon were weak to his electric or steel attacks lmao, so they all died.
Triumph: my grovyle beat him! I also caught a brave bird skarmory which was pretty cool.

Resetting for Latios with a good nature and IV combination has been a struggle, what with not being able to use Synchronize and the long cut scenes. Had some which were quite decent but I rejected because they were missing key stats. It's been nearly 2 days so far.

You have no idea how annoying overheat is.

I finally got myself a decent Latios after 2 solid days of resetting. Changing the text speed to fast and turning the battle animations off helped me get through the cut scenes and the battle faster. It will be like the Latios set I posted in Team Building, but the EVs will need adjusting based on the exact IVs I have.

One day I was just going to Devon Corp. to get my Root Fossil restored, so I decided to talk to the president. He told me that the Intriguing Stone I had in my bag was actually the Pidgeotite, so now I have another Mega Stone. I really didn't expect that, but it makes sense now. If you want to know about Intriguing Stones, just talk to someone who collects them

Finding a Limber Female Buneary so I can catch it in a luxury ball in the Safari Zone, took a looong time.
Trumpth: Whilst searching I came across a Shiny Adamant Buneary with 31 in Attack and 3 star pontetial.

Completed the Delta Episode in Omega Ruby and got enough BP in the Battle Maison to teach my Shiftry Knock Off.
Struggle:
Lost in the 20th round of the double battle in the Battle Maison, this was expected as my team wasn't great though.

You can use fly to go to all landmarks, rather than just towns - I found that to be extremely useful :')

I admit, I wasn't far enough in Alpha Sapphire to reach the Day-Care, so I used X instead.
Nice work, though an easier way to get those moves (excluding Poison Fang), would be to get a male Arbok, Snubbull, Granbull, Exploud, Hippowdon or Stoutland, relearn the moves with 3 Heart Scales and breed with a female Poochyena. I'm sure it must have been fun though. I know it made me happy when I caught my first Fire Fang Poochyena and it was part of my team for the early stages of my adventure.

Struggle: 31/24-29/30/31/17-19/31 Timid Latias... I have to soft-reset this. Why couldn't Attack and Sp. Def have been swapped? :(

Triumph: I caught myself a Nasty Plot Protean Kecleon after chaining them for ages with the DexNav, the chain still hasn't ended. I have various other egg moves as well, and I'm on search level 71.
Struggle: I'm using a team of 6 Pickup users, levels 87, 96, 100, 100, 100, 100, and I still haven't found any Leftovers. (Thunder Wave / Super Fang shiny Pachirisu for catching the Kecleon)

Triumph: The very first wild Absol I found in my OR game had a Life Orb attached. I didn't even use the DexNav!

Yesterday I was in a battle against Bird Keeper Colin's Xatu for literally 15 minutes. My attacks just kept on missing and it kept on using wish and restoring its health. It was hax to the max.

Struggles: Levelling up an Ampharos to learn Dragon Pulse so I can breed onto other things for contests is really tedious.

Struggle: No one in my area has the Eon Ticket

Triumph: I caught a Quick Feet (hidden ability) Shroomish in Alpha Sapphire using the DexNav. When it evolves it will become Technician, which will give False Swipe more power. Awesome. I only have only one gym badge too, and I caught 5 other Shroomish before it, a few of which were caught at level 15.
Now I'm going to max out its Attack EVs and leave the remaining EVs to chance.

Triumph: Thanks to O-Powers, I have caught most Legendaries in odd balls. The best one was Rayquaza with a Nest Ball, and this is why its nickname is "Rektquaza".

Triumph: Got an Ice Fang Poochyena right after restarting my OR game and getting the NavDex! Froze my poor Torchic but I caught it!

I agree. It's just that if I find a Pokemon with an Egg move while using the DexNav, I have to catch it. That's just how I like to play the game. I caught a Poison Fang Poochyena in my AS this way.

Same here. I was struggling so badly (took me like an hour worth of battling), and then Scout suggested I teach my camerupt rock polish and then the entire game changed and I crushed him. I was like level 50s across the board.

I beat Lislia with a Shiny Vanilluxe. All I did was use Hail, Ice Beam and Blizzard. I also used Mirror Coat once when I was in last in line for appeals and not only did I get the extra points, I also got the max Excitement meter bonus! And this was my first time up against her too!

Using the Global Link, I transferred all my Poké Miles from X to Alpha Sapphire, then played the mini games to get all the power items and a Destiny Knot in my game. I also transferred Diancie and got its Mega Stone. I now have enough trained Pokémon to almost fill my party and my battle box, and this is with 5 badges.
Here's another "triumph": I was looking on the PSS and saw someone asking for Diancie, then I challenged them to battle sending out Diancie and mega evolving it. I lost the battle since my opponent's team was full of powerful legendaries, but then they opened up a trade and it sure must have annoyed them when I refused to trade Diancie, lol.

Triumph: Somehow got a Chatot with Boomburst in my AS game and transferred it to my OR game. Defeated Brawly with it in two turns and ALL the other Gym trainers while it was between lvs 13 and 15.

Went back to Glasgow today and DEFINITELY now have an Eon Ticket. I swear I dreamt it the last time.

Triumph: Received a perfect 6 IV & EV trained shiny Pixilate Sylveon named Serenity and holding Leftovers in a Wonder Trade for my freshly caught Graveler.
Struggle: I'm trying to give it back but they won't accept the trade..
UPDATE: I googled the guy who wonder traded the shiny Sylveon and it seems they give away shinies and stuff and they have a Twitter account with Wonder Trade giveaways, so looks like I got lucky after all.. I will of course thank the guy, name is D-Pad Doc.

I like my rare ball Pokemon to be female if I ever wanted to breed them again.

Triumph: Beating the Elite Four in one week after starting to play OS, and completing the Delta Episode and catching Rayquaza a week later
Struggles: Trying to catch Kyogre. I've gone through 10 Ultra balls trying to catch the blighter, ran away from them twice and knocked them out once. Or catching any Legendary without a Masterball for that matter.

Finally beat the Delta episode after putting it off for months.

Triumph: One-shotted Steven's Metagross with a Vulpix.
Failure: So used to Battle Spot Singles that when I was battling in a Link Battle, I forgot that it was not in the Battle Spot and accidentally only picked three Pokes to enter instead of six. I lost, big-time.
That Goodra may have 399 Special Defense and an Assault Vest, but I'm pretty sure it couldn't stand up to 6 Pokes in a row.
