Shiny Pokemon!
« on: October 13, 2013, 15:43 »
So, have any of you got any shiny Pokemon yet?
I just got Y and my starter, a female Fennekin named Alana, is actually Shiny! I didn't even try for a Shiny!
I love how she looks, she's silvery grey with red tufts in her ears and a red tail! So happy!

Has anyone else encountered any shinies yet?

I just caught a shiny graveler!

I was in a hoard on victory road, and there it was, in the middle!

Ok, as shiny hunter...I'm quite concerned.

Thousands of people have reported shinies so far, and they've been out since Saturday...which is ridiculous. Thye've either changed the odds (Heads will roll if this is the case) or that so many people have got X/Y and in reality, a smaller minority have found shinies compared to those who haven't...

Either way, I'm looking forward to at least finding a random shiny in my first playthrough, never mind a 6th Gen shiny. Inkay is one of the best shinies I've seen so far, however.

^ word is theyve changed the odds, its much easier now
well. not REALLY SUPER easy, but easy enough
seen a lot of people reporting only having to soft reset for about ten minutes before getting shiny starters and stuff but im gonna base that on luck since others are getting like 6 hours for a shiny starter

I've literally just hatched a shiny Charmander after 18 eggs using the Masuda method. I was breeding to try get an Adamant/Jolly nature for Mega Charizard X shenanigans and hatched it, Its Naive nature, but I think I can make it work.

^Naive is actually not bad at all! Something like Fire Blast, Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Flare Blitz would be pretty darn effective. Fire Blast is a great option for physically bulky Pokemon and for when you don't want recoil. Honesty, I think those 3 types cover everything for at least neutral, but a Rock move in place of one of the Fire types would help with some Flying/Water or Flying/Rock types if you want.

I just caught a shiny Hardy Ralts in Route 4. My second shiny (disregarding Gyarados in Gold/HeartGold) ever.

So I'm pretty happy.

Well, I got a shiny Klefki after 1,390 REs in Route 15, then yesterday I got to Route 19...as I went through the route, a random shiny Weepinbell showed itself! I caught both in Premier Balls.

Now I'm trying to MM for a Clauncher. I have done 15 Eggs so far with Everstone on the Modest Clauncher.

I think the "Everstone to pass Nature" thing doesn't work if MMing.

You are wrong. Since the 5th Gen, it has worked whilst MMing.

Shiny Graveler used Self Destruct.
Shiny Geodude appeared in a horde and was defeated by his friends.

It's going well so far for me!
