Hey guys! I found this cool game while surfing. Check it out!
http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/pokemon_tower_defense
-
This game is ABSOLUTELY amazing, I've been playing it for a couple of months now, I love it! Currently stuck on the Vermilion Gym though...
-
Do not get me started on that game I am so annoyed at Sam the creator at the moment, first I lose the legendary dogs contest by about 5 minutes, and then he decides to take away everyones mews, of which I had collected roughly 40 of through trades, so now I'm down to 0 of them, and it's just like ARGH >:@
-
Ah that sucks :/
I lost my Mew too, everyone did. Mew was one of my most powerful members (although not a part of my official team)
-
Mhmmm, atleast he says he might release the dogs as rarer than shinys but auto capture so that will make up for it, but those mews were great when it came to harder levels.
-
Love this game, got like 7 shinies now XD
-
Yeah, I got to play with the dogs a little bit, PURE POWER.
And yeah, shiny Pokemon are a-lot easier to find in this game.
I just wish Sam would lower the difficulty for the Vermilion Gym, I can't beat it :/
-
The vermillion city gym is that difficult for this week only it's being lowered in the update, it was that hard for the challenge to keep the dogs.
And as for the update it will be monday as he has too many emails (over 800) which personally i think is his fault for removing the mews and saying to email him with the confirmation code they recieved when they got the hero edition of ninjaja
-
Cool, yeah I just looked at his blog, I must admit, I'm quite happy to see that level get easier, sure I'm upset about the loss of the dogs, but it's a sacrifice I'm more than willing to make.

Sam did ask if we wanted the dogs to have a chance to appear in the wild rarer than shinies, I'm not sure what he decided but he did say they'd be instant captures.
-
I can't get past like route two or something because the legendary birds are there D:

The legendary birds are for this week only, update is out sometime on monday.
-
I wish that I could play. It sounds fun but, I need an account for it. :(
-
No you just need to be able to type in an email address and password, not even a real email address, i know a friend who just uses three symbols as their "email"
-
OK. I'll put my input about the game in a few minutes!
-
Oh... my God... this might just be the greatest game ever. I'm stuck on Route 2 because of the damn birds, but I'm just grinding up my team. So. Much. Fun. <333
-
I'm stuck on them damn birds. ~.~
-
I am now in Cerulean City. I pretty much had to wait until Charmeleon learned Dragon Rage to deal with the birds. Pidgey's Sand Attack and 2 Butterfree using String Shot placed strategically got me through Route 2.
I love the challenge to this game. The difficulty is ridiculous, but you can just keep grinding until you get through the level. Lots of fun. :3
Current team:
Charmeleon Lv. 24
Butterfree Lv. 22
Pidgeotto Lv. 20
Pidgeotto Lv. 19 (Shiny)
Raticate Lv. 22 (Shiny)
Butterfree Lv. 19 (Shiny)
-
ak! havent played in months! vermillion city is out? ak again!
-
Stuck on route 2!
Wartortle Lv16
Butterfree Lv15
Rattata Lv13
Rattata Lv12 Shiny
Pidgey Lv13
Pidgey Lv9 Shiny
-
I've got:
Charmander
Squirtle
Bulbasuar
-
Now that they've finally lowered the difficulty for the Vermilion Gym, I've finally beaten it. Now, I have a problem with the next level... back to the whirlwind technique again I guess...
-
I've got some good Pokemon in PTD.
-
I can't beat hard mode without my mew now.
Damn you Sam *shakes fist*
-
The only thing I've not beaten is Vermillion Gym Challenge Mode. My team is:
Apparently 42 is the level cap at the moment, since it will not go past this :|
-
Dragon Rage and Glare is a very useful combo!

What moves are you using on them?
-
Charizard
Flamethrower
Wing Attack
Seismic Toss
Earthquake
Starmie
Bubblebeam
Psychic
Recover
Minimize
Alakazam
Psychic
Recover
Disable
Reflect
Golem
Magnitude
Stealth Rock (needs to be replaced, but tbh, Golem only spams Magnitude)
Bulldoze
Defense Curl
Butterfree
String Shot
Bug Buzz
Giga Drain
Whirlwind
Raichu
Thunderbolt
Agility
Quick Attack
Thunder Wave
Currently have 51 Pokemon in the Pokedex, though I've unfortunately missed out on shiny Mew apparently. I've found that there are 3 in-game NPC trades in PTD, which is very cool.
-
Thanks for that will be realyl helpful
-
The damn birds disappeared!
Stuck on Mt. Moon part 2
Wartortle Lv21
Mankey Lv15
Wigglytuff Lv15
Nidoran F Lv15
Poliwag Lv13
Vulpix Lv12
-
im stuck on route 1. come ON! stupid pidgeys.....
-
Stuck on cerulean gym part 1. Stupid Horsea, Shellder, and Goldeen.
-
Wow, for a flash game this is pretty good. Quite challenging but fun and addictive nevertheless.
-
i think id rather play bloons than this because of stupid ROUTE 1!

Personally I thought it started getting tricky at Viridian Forest. Those Pikachus don't make things easier that's for sure.
I've had one go at Pewter City Gym although its too early to say that I am stuck. Still I think I'll be able to do it on my next go whenever that will be.
-
^how many times did take you to get through Route 1?
-
Route 1 really isn't that hard, but if you're struggling just catch anyone whos health turns red and release the ones you don't want later.
-
^how many times did take you to get through Route 1?
I did it on my first go. Like the above poster said if your struggling try catching more Pokemon. I managed to do it with a Charmander, Rattata and 2 Pidgeys.
In fact the first time in which I lost was Viridian Forest.
-
I got through route 1 with just a squirtle.
-
I'm still stuck on Challenge Mode Vermillion Gym. I'm trying to beat it without Whirlwind, since getting the Whirlwind tactic down for that mission is ridiculous. My current team is Charizard, Starmie, Starmie, Golem, Golem, Alakazam all at level 42, but there are just too many to handle. Maybe it'll be possible when the level cap is raised in the next update.
-
When it was originally released I managed to beat it with Mew/Alakazam/Ninetales/Ninetales/Venasaur/Vileplume if that helps, but there was alot of moving involved

Instead of Whirlwind, get a Pokemon that can use Roar, it works to the same effect, it's just a different move, and you still get the achievement for it.
EDIT: Also, can someone help me with the Diglett's Cave please?
I suck at using the Whirlwind/Roar technique, so I just go pure power, problem is, I get to about round 20 before the candies escape, so, could anyone tell me a different method of beating the Diglett's Cave please?

I used:
Golem: Earthquake in the very left top spot
Charizard: Flamethrower 1 space to the right of him
Starmie: Bubblebeam next to charizard
Raichu: Thunderbolt up the
Alakazam: Psychic, to the right of starmie
Butterfree: Whirlwind in the middle section against the right wall
The first five take care of most of the opponents while butterfree will need to be moved around when appropriate to save candys
-
Thanks for the help, but as it turns out, I just used another method, It got me through the place with SO many candies left it was amazing.
I had four Sand Attackers placed around the map, quite near the start, and two attackers, after Pokemon stopped coming in WITH candies, I moved all the Sanders to the final four spots on the map. I then had my two attackers near the opening of the map to eliminate the weaker Pokemon, the bulky Pokemon were stopped by the Sanders, which forced them to drop the candies, rendering them useless!
-

The problem is, there are so many Pokemon that you have to place the Roar/Whirlwind user in exactly the right place, at exactly the right time for it to work on that mission. I've tried an annoying amount of times, and it'd just be less headache for me to wait until the level cap is raised, since I don't have one of the shiny Mew that would make the mission easier.
-
I too, am waiting for the level cap to be raised, I don't normally do strategy, instead, I'll waiting till my Pokemon can kill the others easily, and clean that Gym out!
-
I love how joey's beedrill uses furry attack.
-
I FINALLY beat the last Challenge Mode level, as well as unlocked the two achievements that go along with them, using this team:
It wasn't easy, but I feel quite accomplished! 8D

Rich convinced me to play some today. I stumbled upon an interesting glitch where levelling up my squirtle didn't seem to do anything, it wouldn't gain moves or anything and nothing seemed to happen but if I hit done it would be levelled (but without any new moves).
The next time I levelled squirtle I had forgotten about the glitch, and as it didn't do anything, I clicked it four times. I went out and found my squirtle had jumped from level seven to level eleven and I was on -152 pokédollars.
Rich suggested I did the challenges. I did, and when I reached the third challenge, I had messed it up. To try and repair the damage somewhat, I tried to level Golem.... only to find the levelling glitch still worked. Assuming that the challenge's budget was completely separate to the normal budget (it made sense to me, as I wasn't using my pokémon), I preceded to bash the button. I ended up with a level 151 Golem, and I easily won the challenge... only to find after I beat the challenge I was 55,205 pokédollars in debt. :(
-
^I've had that glitch too, with my Charmander who I ended up releasing because of it.
I'm at the cerulean gym with:
Butterfree Lv24
Beedrill Lv23
Nidoking Lv21
Vulpix Lv17
Pikachu Lv14(From the daily event thing)
-
I had a go at it earlier. That glitch really annoyed me, leaving me with a level 18 Squirtle before Pewter Gym, which I'm finding way too hard. Tips please.
-
I've never seen this glitch, it doesn't seem to happen for me. I wonder if you can exceed the level 44 Level Cap with it? o:
-

There's the proof that you can exceed the level cap, Rich. It does put you in debt, however.
-
Yeah, this glitch seems to only effect new accounts. Anyone with an account that was in existance before the glitch began isn't effected.
This really does need to be fixed, though. It's impossible for any new members to get interested in the game, because this removes the possibility of level-up moves and evolution. =/
-
Haven't played this game in ages because of the second part of Cerulean Gym, the one with Kyogre. Anyone have any tips on how to beat it?
-
I still managed to evolve my squirtle, but Pewter Gym's still impossible.
On a dummy save I abused it to get a level 229 squirtle.

I believe I used Raichu and Starmie both spamming Thunderbolt. It broke it eventually, since Rest doesn't seem to fully recover it.
-
So after noticing I could decide what move my mons use and using the relearn thing to teach Wartortle Water Gun, I managed to roll through Pewter Gym.

Sounds like it might work. I'll go and try that, thanks for the tip. :)
-
stuck on diglett's cave!
-
Personally, seeing as the whirlwind technique as been kicked to the side, I recommend you just get your Pokemon to as high of a level as you can, and try to beat the wild Pokemon by sheer force. I know that's not much help, but I don't work well with strategy... HOWEVER! If you have your starter, you can teach it either Solarbeam, Fire Blast or Blizzard (Venasaur, Charizard and Blastoise respectively(or if you're like me, have all three)). These moves are like UBER powerful in this game, allowing you to hit more than one opponent at a time, the they almost ALWAYS hit.
-
Suicune in rain > Everything. Seriously, STAB Rain boosted Hydro Pump obliterates everything, resistant or not.
Edit: The new update sees us in Celadon Gym, which is fairly difficult, and disproves the theory that Suicune in Rain > Everything, since Celebi's Solarbeams are absurdly powerful. :<
But we'll be getting a Game Corner on Monday, for those who've beaten Celadon Gym! ^^
-
I seem to have a little trouble with the Celadon Gym. I have gotten all the way to the last wave, but I lose by ONE candy. And by that, I mean, if I had ONE more candy, I'd have won. It's annoying, but I guess I'll just have to move my Pokemon faster. The pattern is easy to follow though, seeing as it's just anti-clockwise from Top-Left.
-
Don't try fighting Celebi. Everything else can be easily dealt with. Just remove your Pokemon from the field when Celebi appears, and kill everything else, and you should have candy to spare.
-
I actually beat this level 10 minutes after I posted my last comment. Fire Blasting Charizard, Ninetails and Arcanine with the assistance of Alakazam defeated this level. Would have been harder without Nidoking to helping hand everyone though :3
-
The Game Corner is up and running, with several awesome prizes up for grabs. I've already got a Scyther and a shiny Dratini (which is now a level 44 shiny Dragonair =D)! The Game Corner slots can be done 500 times a day, so get going! ^^
-
How long did it take you to get the coins? I want to get a Dratini (just regular), but I don't want to spend ages wasting my time on pressing a button. Plus my team is pretty awesome anyway...
-
Slot Machine 7 gives the biggest payout, but it's deceptive; it'll give you nothing a lot, and then it'll give 100 or 300 most times that it gives a payout, so you effectively get more this way. I'm at 20k coins atm.
Anyways, the level cap is 47 now, and I've got 46 level 47's (http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/3773/47s.png). Just waiting for the next level. :3
-
Nice Pokemon you got there! Where'd you get so many shinies? Did you trade, or did you find them? I don't really care for shinies, I was just wondering :3 Also, I managed to get enough coins for Dratini, I just need to level it now. :)
-
Most were obtained through clever trading. V4.2 is coming soon, and the level cap will be raised to 50.
Shinies also level up faster, as Sam has stated in his blog, which is partly why I prefer them.
-
I thought I'd just wake up this topic, seeing as it hadn't been used since 21st Sept.
v4.3 is out now, this is a much wanted update for me, not only because of another level cap raise, but because we get a story level built specifically for our training needs! We can't lose on this level either, so that's a thing! I'm also happy about map movement with the arrow keys, now I don't have to move my mouse for no reason! We get Venonat... I care not for Venonat... but we get Super Potions! :D They also made a seemingly pointless change to the game corner, boosting the amount of coins used per turn, but boosting our chances of winning coins also, so that's silly... So yeah, other than some bugs being fixed, that's round about what we've been given, I quite like our new additions!
-
The coin change was so the server would stop crashing, due to so many people doing their 500 clicks per day. A much needed change.
I haven't had internet for a while, and mine is still acting up, but I'm looking forward to seeing this new map. Super Potions will be helpful as well.
-
I've just managed to get my Dragonair to evolve into a Dragonite, not going to lie, I think it's awesome! I currently run a Special Dragonite (which isn't really important in this game), which from my childhood, I always called it "Puff" after Puff the magic dragon!
Either way, my Moveset is Thunder, Fire Blast, Blizzard, and Dragon Rush, while being assisted by my Nidoking, who not only is the helping hander of my team, but also rain dances for my Thunder.
Now, I plan on changing the move set of Puff slightly, I'd like to change Dragon Rush, as it hasn't really proved useful as of yet, the thing is, I'm having a problem deciding what move to replace Rush with. I was think either Roost or Agility, both of these moves would help I believe, but deciding which would help more is hard. I could also choose Bubble beam, as I believe Rain Boosted Bubble beam might still pack a punch.
Anyone got any suggestions?
-
hermesguy I play this game and that's awesome , I like it , thanks .
