So with Super Mystery Dungeon's release there are now an incredible 10 games in the series (Red, Blue, Darkness, Time, Sky, the 3 WiiWare games no one talks about cause it's only available in Japanese, Infinity and now Super), I want to know what is the best game in the series in your opinion. For me it's gotta be Time/Darkness and I guess Sky - Blue was pretty fun and it was the first one I played - but the story of TDS really pulled me in and I gotta admit, back in 08 when I was a spritely 15 year old I actually cried the first time I completed it. And I completed it I think 4 or 5 times over because I just loved the story that much and now I wish I had the patience to look out the game cartridge to play it all again :') Having played a bit of Infinity and Super I'm not enjoying them to the same extent as I did TDS - and honestly the 3D sprites don't look as nice as the old 2D ones back in TDS did. The controls don't feel as nice (even though they're probably the same lmao) and the stories fall a bit flat for me

so I am doing something for a class and as I can't find the two guys I am working with on Facebook I can't get many opinions on what looks best so... why not turn to you. You guys know what sprites are right. so the preset is 80s (hence the limited palette haha more like stop), and we're making a fake kickstarter for an 80s themed game. the player is trying to reach taxi to get to a club and are confronted by zombies. probably. it's still in the works, but this is what i have so far so yeah. pick ur fave. critique. help me.

So I've just been reduced to a tearful bloody blob because of a trailer for an iPhone and Android app - the app that we have been waiting for for yearshere it is - on the official Pokemon Japan YouTube I cannot put into words how absolutely excited I am for this. I am so ready yet also so not.

So Microsoft are doing this interesting thing with this site http://how-old.net/but it has some kinks. It thinks I am either 16 or 26 and there is no in between. The only picture of me it's gotten right is a picture of me when I was 4.

Ok so i'm sitting here making leedle noises right now cause of chronic knee pain and i don't wanna take painkillers, and I'm wondering how you guys deal with joint pain? Any sort really; growth, sports injuries, just general ache. I doubt many of you have arthritis and can share your chronic joint pain stories but if you can, then go ahead!
I'll probably complain a lot in this thread too as I get tested for arthritis lol

Long ago, before the items used to obtain Pokémon had even been a twinkle in a scientists eye, befriending Pokémon was a rare and celebrated gift that very few were ever born with. They were known as the Whisperers - they couldn't exactly understand Pokémon, per sé, but to normal people, the Whisperers could essentially speak to Pokémon. It was rare for a village or town to have more than one Whisperer at a time - when the abilities manifested themselves, if there was already a Whisperer and apprentice in town, they would be sent to another town without an apprentice. Their job was to keep the peace between Pokémon and humans - which often proved to be more difficult than it sounded. Wars between the two was rampant, and even if there was peace in one place, there would be war in another. You are a Whisperer - a young one, apprenticed to an older Whisperer of your town. You have recently befriended your first Pokémon - one who left their home to come and live with you. It is a great honour to have a Pokémon become your partner - some Whisperers do not befriend their first for many years, but you, in your teens, have proven to be a proficient Whisperer. But there is a threat on the horizon. Your Mentor has left for a week - something urgent, they say, but they do not tell you anything else. You are left to look after your home and the people who live there, but the rumours come. Reports of your Mentor's death, of the deaths of all the Whisperers apart from a few apprentices who were left in their homes. You are one of them. It now falls to you to meet up with several other apprentices to figure out what happened to your Mentors, and what danger lies on the horizon.
To sum up, you are a special kind of human. A Whisperer has a special connection with Pokémon - you can read their body language and they yours, so you can have basic conversations with them. Your Partner has a deeper connection - almost psychic - and that connects you. Whisperers rarely befriend more than ten Pokémon in their lifetime (meaning you'll get to befriend more later on in the RP!!). Your Mentor, the one who is supposed to teach you how to properly read Pokémon and stop fighting between humans and Pokémon, is dead. Reports of a terrible war far to the west have reached your town. One apprentice has sent you a letter - to meet in the port of Summerlake to head west and find out who killed all the other Whisperers.
Form! Name: First LastAge: 13-18Gender: ObviousAppearance: A nice sharp paragraph. Height, weight, body shape, hair, skin and eye colour, and what they wear. Clothes should be similar to the Elizabethan era - but Whisperers tend to wear trousers, just so you are aware ladies~Personality: another sharp paragraph please dears <3Partner: A basic Pokémon - not a rare or a legendary, or you'll get booted in the butt. (try to have a Pokémon that matches your town, so no ice Pokémon from the southern plains or fire Pokémon from the icy tundra!)Town: Choose from those listed please!!Starter Post: Either receiving the letter from the anonymous Whisperer telling you to meet in Summerlake to cross said lake to follow your mentor, or arriving at the rendevouz point in Summerlake with your Partner

RULES: -- Follow the site rules, obviously -- Keep romance to a minimum. These kids are fighting to solve something first, kissing later -- No two Whisperers may come from the same town -- Try not to have the same Pokémon -- No godmodding, power playing or Mary Sue type characters -- The plot will be ushered along if you guys are taking a while

Ok so, as we all know most of the boards here have been a lot less active than they used to be, RP included. So I put the question forward to you... what are you looking for?
Often it can be hard coming up for an idea for an RP anyway - what is "hip" with the kids these days? Will your idea even draw in any attention? Is it too hard a concept to grasp? Will it attract the attention of both old and young rpers?
This is also probably to help those who want to RP (such as myself) but are really struggling to find a genre of RP that is currently popular with the kids these days. What I want to know is what you guys want to RP - you can list what you like or discuss it more vividly - more Pokémon or real life? Less Action more Adventure? Literate or not so much?
Feel free to put forth any ideas you think would be helpful towards pushing some life in to this board.

The Metagame Spriters! Hi guys! So, most of you have probably seen the Metagame sprites, made by myself and many other spriters on the site! To try and shake some activity in to the Spriting Board, it's been decided (sort of, I guess) to continue where we left off during the launch of Gen 5! That's right, it was that long ago. Yeah, I can't believe it's been two years either. So, some wee guidelines for you hoping to make some of the sprites we use here (taken directly from the last topic!) - 78x78 - PNG - Transparent - but don't worry if you can't do it! Someone else will for you! - Named as the National Dex number, followed by an s for the shiny (eg "001" and "001s" for Bulbasaur) - Not based on fanart or Sugimori art. Scratches are encouraged, and TCG and animé traces are allowed. Sugimori art is okay if it's a nifty pose, but generally they're very dull, and everyone's seen them before. Spice it up! - A portrait. Not a full-body sprite, and not a closeup of the eye. If you're confused, look at our current batch for ideas! - Try to steer away from too much dithering. If you don't know what it is, here is an example of it. WHAT'S BEEN DONE? check the list!Don't be offended if some of the more advanced spriters touch up your sprite - mistakes can be made and it's easy to fix. It may include things such as shading, colour errors, lining errors, etc. You may also be asked to edit it yourself if you can.

Hi friends! So, in case you haven't heard yet (but if you've played BW2, you probably have) there's a thing in XY called the Shiny Charm. This wonderful thing makes encountering shinies easier (ie, makes the 1/6000 to 1/4000 or something like that). How do you get it, you ask? Well, it's a simple case of having EVERY POKÉMON ON YOUR DEX*! * excepting event only Pokémon! So you ask yourself, what is this topic for? To help everyone here GET the Shiny Charm! Because MORE SHINIES MAN!!! This is where YOU come in! First off, chances are there are gaps in your Pokédex, aye? Say you need a Litwick and I need an Axew - let's trade! Because chances also are you have about 60 or so missing mons from your dex, please make a post on Google Docs, DeviantArt, Tumblr, etc, so not to clog up the topic, and be sure to keep up with your Pokémon list and cross off anything you have! Please bear in mind that there are gonna be a couple 'rules' per say. This is a swap-and-back-again sort of thing. I send you my Xerneas for your Yveltal, and then I send your Yveltal back for my Xerneas. It's a dex filler topic, really. Be aware, if you are sending event Pokémon or Pokémon that mean a "lot" to you, if your partner decides to be a butthole and keep them there's not a lot I can do except ask them to not use this service anymore because don't be an ass. Unless you organise swapping to keep, remember to swap-and-back-again! To start us off, I'll put up my list here!Trades can be set up via the trade board, or through PMs or another chat device (Steam is good if you have it!). Please try to remain civil and be nice to each other and use this wisely uwu ey mods i didn't know where to put this and richard and blaziken suggested here so more people would see it but whatever :B
