Man... watching this Carrie film is difficult.

I thought Carrie was meant to be a plumper lass who wasn't so much of a looker but they've made her thin and attractive. I always thought the mother was a larger woman too? Everything is weird because it's set in the present day and all the characters seem "off".  The book even states that Carrie eats out of boredom and that she has pimples and messy hair and a "dull, stupid, bovine face".

My copy was printed in 1981 so things have probably changed within the book but idk... the film didn't do one of my favourite books any justice.

I keep thinking about the thing that happened like, 18 months ago and I still get really frustrated and upset over it. I don't know how to get rid of these stupid feelings and I'm thinking I should go and see someone about what's wrong with me...but I can't tell people about my issues because of reasons.

Sixth form starts soon but I'm scared that I'll just not make friends. And making friends with people a year younger than me just feels weird as hell.

I'm going for lunch tomorrow with someone who I don't know all that well & it'll be the last time I see her before I go to Uni, but it's also the first time the pair of us will be hanging out without other people because we usually see each other at parties. I'm stressing and looking up conversation starters because if the convo goes dry then she might not act as friendly towards me as she has been lately & idk

What's happened to Tumblr and why are the posts suddenly so ugly with text logs underneath each post?

I also can't find any scary films on Netflix which sucks but after I had my first depressive episode I dropped a bunch of phobias and fears. If Bloody Mary is crap, I'll watch The Grudge.

Moved into my new house, but I'm gonna be here all by myself for like 10 days because I'm only up because of retakes aha. No hot water either, really cold too :( still haven't found out the results of my retakes either so my ~future is in the balance~ and it's all pretty stressy. Dunno how to sort the WiFi either.

All in all just not a great week, heh.

Torn between gin and a new whiskey and student finance have given me a loan (thanks Tories) that I didn't actually apply for so now I'm going to have to pay this off, plus interest (thanks Tories), even though I didn't apply for it.

I competed in a sm4sh tourney with a friend and the only guy I could beat had a broken arm and was new to sm4sh, plus I didn't even sweep the set.

I need to get better.
