Random Randomness / Re: first world problems
« on: May 23, 2016, 23:11 »
So I am going to ruin someone's day tomorrow :^) Messaged them on Sunday night because I was literally *this* close to giving up on pretty much everything and I needed someone to talk to so badly. I get to see them at lunch tomorrow at college. I just hope they're not expecting a good thing, because boy they will be disappointed if they are expecting something good.

Also approx. two weeks behind on BTEC assignments, I need to edit, send out questionnaires, get 15 responses, and write a report and analyse my responses in ooh...less than 3 days.

Interactive media class is giving me difficulties, because basically only 3 people in that class don't give me the cold shoulder / laugh and point behind my back (yes I am wearing a hairbow but no you do not then have the right to point and laugh, 'cause "boy with hairbow" is not accurate enough. and forget your gender stereotypes too). I raised this concern that people were giving me reasons to be concerned--and I kinda got worried they're figuring out I'm not exactly the Straighty McCis they assumed me to be and that's why it feels uneasy in that class? Teacher knew my concern, didn't talk with me on Friday about it despite me being informed on Thursday by tutor that they would talk to me about it. I doubt that's because of what I've got worried about but yeah.

tl;dr class being funny about me, I'm trying to find reassurances that it's all good / find out why that's the case anyways.

^you had me at "looking at some quality noots"

So my mum saw the scratches on my arm/wrist so she wants to know how I got them / why I did them, but I can't say the reasons why bc she's not been very nice about people like me :^)

Also also I'm stressed out because I've found it incredibly difficult to get any work done...but I have a whole bunch of planning to do before Tuesday for my animation. fml.

Bought PVRIS' White Noise album, got the songs on my iPod. And the laptop I used likes to take its time.

Also scraped through some difficult-as-heck lessons at college, which are dragging me down a little. Not enough for anything bad to happen, though.

Helped out at an open evening with the pride society (when all the catholic school students come in we never get any visitors to the stall, I wonder why...), helped a friend pull somebody (hoo boy that was fun), and subsequently felt good about things. Good day again.

I think they meant they don't feel up to filling the dex for the shiny charm.

But yeah you've got to keep going. Shiny hunting isn't easy (especially in older games). Put in effort and you'll get results :)

So I guess things are actually going really well?? I have pretty much what I didn't expect to have at the start of the school year. And I'm also not being a total flop at college with my grades. That's good too. I finished the counselling sessions today, I enquired about what college may be able to do with ID badges/reports, in terms of name changes and pronoun changes so that's looking nice too. Not going ahead with that yet, though.

Just really happy that things are finally looking up.

My 18th is on Saturday and everyone's already making a fuss about it. I'd be fine with that...if I didn't care all that much and just wanted a low-key sort of celebration. And also the pressure for me to have an alcoholic beverage is palatable. I''ll take my uh, Pepsi/Coke/Cola instead I guess???

Plus all my family are here. And only two of them don't know I'm not straight because I've held back from telling them. So there's like 8 people who could spill it to them when I'm not ready.

So I managed to keep my good mood up after talking to someone last night, so it should see me go into college with a little smile on my face. Yay.

Those threads were the days. Or were they? Probably not. Everyday accomplishments is the new happy thread though I suppose.

But nope, first world problems pretty much covers this anyways.

Music / Re: Which songs are you currently obsessed with?
« on: April 09, 2016, 13:48 »
Jupiter - Iolite - Been meaning to get around to this because it's the last song I didn't have from Jupiter's last single. Really good though.

Jupiter - Symmetry Breaking - Same thing, listened to this song a lot last year when I was on holiday, only just got around to listening to it again. Last minute of the song is good, last 10-15 seconds also sound really nice.

^I think you would be more impressed by the data going into Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire, then. And they're a lot smaller in terms of cartridge size.

I'm seeing Muse today!!!! Today!!!

About to catch my train up to Manchester but ahhhhhh I've been waiting since like the last time I went to see them for this moment I'm so hypeeeeeee

Enjoy Muse! I'm jealous, I'd really like to see some of their new stuff live >_<

So I managed to commit to my new project and introduced the "sidekick" character to my main character. And I also managed to set up a little blog to keep stuff like writing resources on hand, which will be pretty useful.

So I overthink things way too much. Fortunately when I overthink, the result is that the most mundane things happen. Like if someone's not replied back I'll be like "oh great they don't like me they don't want to see me uuuUGHH" but actually it's like "uh, they were kinda busy Rowan".

It sucks because the pride society groupp chat had a scare, because somebody went missing for a bit. I was already thinking the worst but now they're safe and well.

I guess something that is mildly interesting is when my mum's parents visit, her dad always puts on How It's Made. I guess it's kinda interesting to know how things are made but it's just more of a "oh, they do that with that to make that? okay" sort of interest.

Being a night owl (not a literal owl though I guess that'd be one way to look at it?) probably helps. If you're a morning person you'll probably like getting out of bed but if not, getting into and out of bed sort of sucks.
