PKMN.NET / Regularly Recurring Content Thread and Hub Post
« on: August 27, 2014, 04:45 »
So here is a thread where i'll be pitching ideas for the articles I suggested in the other thread. This is purely for those types of things. This is also a hub post for content which already exist.

Unsuspected, "unviable" Niche Pokémon of the Day, by Delicious_Scout.
Latest Update: August 31st
Updates: Analyzes Pokemon on Weekdays and analyzes members on saturdays
Link and Hub Post.
From Monday to Friday, a Pokémon that, at maximum, appears in the D rank of Smogon's Viabily Ranking, is analysed, so that it can be used with extensive support in the OU metagame. Some Pokémon might be used in Übers as well, as proven in the first issue. In Saturdays, I will "analyse" a member of the community, and, in Sunday, I will read Richard's article and watch Lewis' stream, so nothing will be updated during that day.
PKMN.net bi-weekly prize tournament by Richard and Blaziken
Latest Update: September 5th, 2014
Updates: Every two weeks
link
A bi-weekly tournament with different rules for each tournament that gives out a competitive Pokemon as a prize.
I was also thinking of collaborating with someone to bring Video Game Reviews back, but instead of outright reviews I'd make it into "Video Game spotlight." My think with collaboration is that I could update it once every two or three weeks, someone else would update it in that gap, and if I get a third person then someone else could update it in that gap. It would give us three weeks to come up with something concise and informative; nothing like those 20K character posts I used to make, with no visuals or anything. Because nobody wants to read something.
Video Game music weekly is something I'd be interested in doing alone or with someone; Video game music is almost as important as the game itself, and it would be really cool to bring some stuff out there.
Lottie said she has dibs on "Pokemon route of the fortnight" but it would be cool for someone else to work with her to get more updates more often. So long as there's communication, having a collaboration is a really good thing.
If anyone else has any - and I mean ANY - other ideas or can tell me about any other things going on, let me know. I'll update this regularly as the threads or articles themselves update. It should be very easy if I'm either given a heads up or if there's a very regular interval in which it occurs.
