Perform a genuine glitch! No codes needed!
« on: November 02, 2015, 18:34 »
In Wario Land 2, go to the first level of syrups castle, then jump on the turtle back at the beginning of the level, along the way, you'll find an enemy that burns Wario. Pick it up and take it with you.

YOU NEED THE ENEMY TO PERFORM THE GLITCH!

Once you get as far as the turtle can take you jump off. You'll see some blocks that can only be destroyed by throwing the enemy. Destroy every block except the bottom one touching the floor. Jump over the block with the enemy, then drop it.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BLOCK!

Let the enemy light you on fire. When Wario begins to flash, jump over the block again, then run towards the spiky thing on the edge of the platform when Wario completely sets on fire, touch the spiky thing in this form, this will make Wario glitch out for a moment, but then he returns to normal!

In Mario Kart DS, on the Luigi's Mansion stage, if you held A and B while driving up the mansion stairs the game would crash.

Pong's just glitched out on me! The ball's stuck at the bottom corner between the computer's bat. And because it's the computer, it ain't gonna move to free the ball. Why are computers so stubborn?!

yeah well i know an irl glitch for real life. if u stay in bed for too long past ur alarm ur mother/father/legal guardian picks you up and throws you outside the house all deep in the forest and they turn the house into Parentland. you have to spend the rest of your waking moments breaking into parentland and reclaiming it. try it out!

Has anyone at least tried to perform my glitch?

If you have I'd love to hear your reactions to it. Maybe even post a YouTube video of it.

I would do it, but:

1) I don't have a phone with a camera (yet)

2) I'm not allowed a YouTube account.

2) I'm not allowed a YouTube account.

ok this seems kinda bizarrely Out Of Place so im gonna enquire as to if its cos people have told you ur literally not allowed one for ur own good????

cos if so then bless them for looking out for you cos a lot of uh Certain People dont get that and it leads to all manner of trainwrecks and its tragic to see most the time

i mean i partly suspect ur a sockpuppet/parachute account for olde style subterfuge trollin tbh but still

Look up TAS runthroughs.  They abuse even crazier glitches.

personally im lookin forward to when the machines put all the TAS people out of busniess aaaaaahahahahahahaha

talkin of TAS videos tho holy crap there was really good one for mario 2: 6 golden coins (underappreciated game imo) where whoever it is literally executes arbitrary code in the game to make it jump to the end credits. i dunno how these people have all this spare time or how it works cos im thick as two planks but

fake edit: found it! here it is apparently i have a vague affinity for dumb outside-the-box glitches like this and bookmarked it??? im careposting about goddamn TAS videos what the hell happened

Here's an interesting one in Symphony of the Night where this dude completely messes around with the inventory and how the game processes things.  It basically turns your file into a 100% completion run.

:OOOOOOO

neato! kinda makes me wish i knew what Assembly was all about? it seems to be the tool du jour that these people are using to interhack the games it seems and all i know is that its about shifting things from different boxes to other boxes.

(also i forgot there were castlevanias on the PSX, time to backfill my game played catalogue haha, been sittin here bored since they forgot to make a new one on the 3ds)

They made Castlevania Lords of Shadows:  Mirror of Fate but people aren't fond of the Lords of Shadows franchise.  Surprised you haven't heard of Symphony of the Night; it actually laid the groundwork of a bunch of Metroidvania games (and some Indie games that are surprisingly enjoyable).

Other glitches that are great are in FF6 where you cast some status on someone then you can use X-Zone (which became Vanish in the GBA version) and it would auto kill just about anything.  They removed it from the GBA re-release though.  Also, somehow the blind status didn't do anything because accuracy was useless.

As for assembly code, from my understanding it's the barebones code behind everything.

you can do that one with mew in red, cant you? albeit that was removed content that made it back into the game in a weird fashion and can probably mess up your save file, so dont do it.

You mean the one where you hit start in front of a trainer, then fly to like Lavender town and go to some place on the left?  That one is fine because it doesn't involve save corruption, so it won't mess up your game.
