carrie and lowell is really heavy-- be mentally prepared, or you'll be really sad for the next couple of days
enjoy your rabbit is kind of noisy, and the first song or two may be offputting but really you'll quickly realize that it's a masterpiece
age of adz was alright, a couple of songs were just a little boring in my opinion. i liked the direction he was moving in sonically, though, and i hope he continues it in subsequent albums

also last album i listened to was bruford - one of a kind

hot chip - one life stand
much better album than most people give them credit for

I think I prefer him on his electronica hype than his indie folk stuff

i mean 98% of his stuff is indie folk but enjoy your rabbit is a 10/10 album
i didn't like age of adz that much though

i just got some taurus pedals, so i've been playing a lot of xanadu lately (the rush song, not the ELO song)

successfully set up 8 pieces of synth and recording hardware and fit it within 6 square feet
now time to actually bother recording something with it

i guess this isn't so much of a "diary" as it is a strange occurrence

about six months ago i had some dream that i was building a set of stairs at our school in the auditorium with this guy who i haven't seen in years since he graduated from high school

on sunday, i was working at the school and helping out with set design, and i got tasked with building a stair railing. the aforementioned guy happened to be there that day (he periodically helps out with construction and lighting) and he was going to give me the specs for the railing

out of nowhere, halfway through me hammering in a 2x4, i got chills because i was looking at exactly an image i had vividly remembered from the dream six months earlier; i hadn't even remembered i had that dream up until that point, to which i zoned out for a solid 30 seconds and just played it off

Random Randomness / Re: Buffalo Chicken

i have to say, buffalo wings from buffalo are a delicacy. i've had them from the anchor bar (the bar where the sauce was invented), and i have to say it tastes simply incredible. if any of you are in the area, it's seriously worth it. if i remember correctly, you can get them with a milder sauce but it's not nearly as good.

unfortunately, i live 6 hours away from buffalo, despite living in mainland ny. i guess that's the price you pay for living in westchester. i've been to wild wings a few times in white plains and it sucks in comparison. they're basically spicy chicken nuggets. if they stopped calling it buffalo then maybe it would be a bit better, but they taste like crispier and better versions of the frozen stuff. although, there is a local sports bar by me that has some incredible boneless "wings" (it's really just a nugget).

i've never tried haggis, though. should i home-make it, or go to some scottish restaurant? (is there such a thing? i've been to irish restaurants but they definitely don't have haggis)

maybe he can leave clues around the internet about his presence again

pretty fun the last time he pulled a stunt like that

and really the only fitting way to learn about all the crap he's probably done
