this is why they shouldve kept richardson, for games like this, where he can run all over everybody

Um.... The pats defense are no slouches. Also, Richardson wasn't very productive in the 2 games before.

I wish we had Hoyer.

i recognize hanie's name from somewhere... was he a backup for other teams in recent years? chicago maybe? and udfa's are no good... looks like the browns wont be passing much.
Yep, he played backup for the Bears in this game

richardson sucks though, if someone offered me a first rounder for him i'd take it.  Browns FO knows what they're doing, they just were dealt a bad hand with Weeden from the previous FO.

Sorry to ask, but what is FO?

Anyways, just because Richardson got all that hype, it doesn't mean he's good. Tebow is a perfect example of this.

Oh, and following an overhyped team is something to cheer about?

No offense Lord Raven

front office

Tebow and Richardson are different in so many ways.  Tebow wasn't overhyped so much as had a big following; most football fans knew for a fact he was awful by virtue of his lack of ability to read a defense, his throwing mechanics, and general lack of instinct for the game.  Richardson has a lot - and I mean, A LOT - of raw talent.  He runs like a 4.40 40yd so he's about as fast as Jacoby Jones.

As for the Browns football thing, Richardson wasn't necessarily regarded a bust but an RB taken at #3 is dumb unless you have AD levels of talent, which Trent sorta had but not really because he still didn't exactly display a good instinct for the game at the time of drafting.  He played incredibly mediocre his time in Cleveland, and he's not doing any better (in fact, worse) in Indy.  Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron are way better players, and the Browns would be dumb to get rid of them; getting a first rounder for Richardson is definitely a steal for them.  Browns will be good in a year or two once they actually get a QB and an RB in the draft.

As far as overhyped...  Every single year since 2008 the Ravens weren't predicted to go any better than 8-8.  The only year that this wasn't true was in 2012, and even then halfway through the season there were huge doubts.  People underrate Harbaugh as a coach because he's not a media darling like Payton, Carroll, McCarthy, or even his younger brother.  He was a special teams coach before coming to Baltimore, so he wasn't a defensive or offensive coordinator like any of the coaches that currently have a position.  I've never seen a more hated team get a Super Bowl win.  I don't think people liked that we won Super Bowl 35 the way we did, and I certainly think a lot of the nation hated Baltimore even when they won Super Bowl 47.

^ Good God (or whatever he is called to any of you all out there if you are religious.) Raven, you're smart.

Gordon and Cameron are good receivers, best on the team obviously. Our run defense isn't half bad either. However, we to go to NE this Sunday, who doesn't run as much because of Brady and we'll get burned on passing. We need a QB and an RB like you said.

Also, the way Cleveland works, neither Gordon or Cameron will be resigned. Yet, magically, Weeden is still on the team.

The way Cleveland works now is different from way back when.  The new owner is dead set on reforming the team, and he realized that the old FO (front office, I don't think I answered this question before) were abysmal so he hired new guys.  The new guys know how to build a team and know what they're in for, and they have to stick with Weeden because the other QBs are getting smashed.  Gordon and Cameron WILL be resigned.

As for passing, I wouldn't worry THAT much but that CB the Browns have (god I should remember his name, he was all over us in the Ravens game) is pretty good.  Their pass defense is good and their defense would be better if Weeden weren't awful and McGahee were like 25 years old again (there's a reason Baltimore AND Denver cut him).  They're always on the field because the offense punts it away all the time.

That CB is Joe Haden, by the way.

Weeden is actually expecting to be cut at the end of the regular season, or the end of the Brown's season, for that matter.
