I would love to see pokemon eggs with the design of the baby on them, Bouffalant being the evolution of Tauros and Alomomola being the evolution of Luvdisc.
What about you guys?
-
Although it's in 3D now, I'd still like to see "the first Pokémon in your party following you" return from HGSS.
And some customization of the character you play. New outfits, maybe skin color/hair color/etc. changing.
-
They won't change established evolution lines. Tauros is actually better than Bouffalant, from what I remember (though don't quote me on this, I don't keep track of crappy Pokemon's base stats), so it wouldn't make a lot of sense. And Bouffalant... doesn't look a whole lot like Tauros? Unnecessary.
Anyway, Trainer customization would be great, and also what TMJ said, Pokemon following you does have a wonderful charm, though I'm almost certain this won't return, just from seeing the trailer.
But most of all, I just want... good Pokemon. Some that I like immediately, rather than becoming attached to over time. I want new type combinations. Do we need more Grass/Poison, Water/Ground, Fire/Fighting, Bug/Poison? Can we have maybe... Electric/Fire? Electric/Grass? Water/Fire? Electric/Ice? And yeah, 3/4 of them have been done by Rotom, but that breaks species clause, and I'd like actual lines with those types so they'd learn better moves. Unique types are good.
-
Yeah, unique type combo Pokemon would be very good fun. Electric / Grass Peacock Pokemon plz.
I would also love to see Trainer Customisation.
I'm inclined to say "more Pokemon mythology" or "bigger emphasis on mythology," but part of the appeal of places like Dragonspiral Tower and Abyssal Ruins is that they don't have any emphasis on them in the first place. I mean, if they were part of some huge plot line that explained them away, they wouldn't be nearly as interesting to explore and theorise about.
Oh and Dragon/Rock. Need something awesome looking for that one x_x Aerodactyl evo anyone? =]
-
It's not new exactly, but I hope they have a good plot... I've been enjoiyng the plot changes they've been developing over the years, so you're really playing through a story and not just a quest. N was a fantastic character and as much as we initially mocked Team Plasma, a more ambiguous 'evil' team was pretty fun. I just hope they continue the trend rather than letting it slack...
And yes, unique type combinations plox. There's so much potential to play with here!
-
Better ghost pokemon would be great, stopped caring after Ghastly, Haunter and Gengar.
-
I'd love to see a hummingbird Pokemon <3 I think Utack was the one who suggested this yeaaars ago?
But if they had better trainer designs, that'd be pretty awesome as well. I like the idea of leggings under shorts, but the way Nate pulled it off...
-
Character customisation
Ability to integrate the TCG (Using AR as a modern day E-Reader)
Huge region that isn't linear like Unova and has lots of hidden parts that take ages to find
Weather changes all over the map instead of just some routes
More dual typing
A new type
Complete rehaul of the metagame
Make HMs key items now
Decent Pokemon
Add a 4th-stage to evo chains
-
A legendary Pokemon that evolves.
-
Voice acting, anyone?
It'll be cool if rollerblades replace the Bicycle, as seen in the trailer.
Random in-game trades. Not just 5 or 6 pre-programmed trades. That'll open a whole lot of new possiblities.
A revamp of the storyline. What if there was no villainous team?
More combo moves like Grass Oath/Fire Oath. They should be stronger too (these moves had lame Base Power).
A sequel which has three previously introduced Gen VI Pokémon.L as starters. I really hope the Monkey trio were the starters of B2/W2, however crappy they were (no offence to fans). It'll be cool if the Pokémon were not Grass/Fire/Water.
Starters available in the wild, though I'm sure Nintendo won't do this because of their love for trading.
-
I want to see something like having a boat on the end of the game(After beating the X and Y elite four) That lets us go back to previous regions(Kanto Johnto Hoenn Sinnoh and Unova)
-
Some more water/steel Pokemon, some more second types to go with electric and poison and better Pokemon early in game. I was left with only two Pokemon (one I didn't even want) for ages in B/W because the early Pokemon weren't great.
-
^ Electric/Psychic is the type combination I've been wanting to see since Gen II, plus Poison/Electric and Poison/Dragon or Electric/Dark
-
Electric/Dark would be amazing. I thought Luxray would be of the type, but alas, it wasn't to be.
-
what a load of crappy posting this was but my idea about interacting w the pokemon more happpened hahahahah suckers
-
Basically everything that has been said here plus a Dark type Gym Leader and Nurse Joy who is also a Gym Leader. In BW/BW2, the game has Nurse and Doctor trainers you can battle so it wouldn't be too farfetched for Joy to be a Leader. Also, a new field move that allows you to travel through time at will would be nice. Game Corner should return with sa similar roullette min game like Hoenn would be nice as well. I LOVED the roulette games!
-
I'd like an option where you can run your own Gym, and you can decorate it in various themes and stuff using ingame money (or for free). However it would only be unlocked after you beat the E4.
Though having a perky gym leader assistant like your sassy best friend would be amazing.
-
New field moves should be added as well. In the fifth generation games, no new field moves appeared. Dive returned but it doesn't count as a new field move because Gen III had it as one. Rock CLimb should also make a return as a HM and field move and Defog as a TM. Both were quite useful both on and off the field.
-
Voice activation. Like if you say into the Mic. of your system "Pikachu, dodge it!", your Pikachu in your game will attempt to dodge your opponent's move. Or, if you say, "Pansear, move to the left!" into the Mic., your Pokemon will move to the left. More strategy.
I also think moves like String Shot should be doing more than just lowering Speed. I'd like to see String Shot used as something that actually tangles the opponent and prevents them from moving at all as long as they're stuck in it, for some time before they break free/wears off.
I remember one part of the full episode "Rocking the Virbank Gym!" when Ash's Leavanny was up against Gym Leader Roxie's Koffing. Leavanny was at a disadvantage, but then Ash's strategy turned the tables. Leavanny used String Shot on Koffing. It formed a belt of string on Koffing, and at this moment Leavanny gained control of Koffing, who was floating above, wrapped in the String Shot and chained to Leavanny like a kite. So then Ash told his Leavanny to swing the Koffing about, reel it in sharply, and strike it with Energy Ball. Success. If a Pokemon could answer a detailed command like that in the game, my imagination will spike.
-
I want the cat poké for this gen to be a Cheetah!
and it can be Electric/Dark like that other guy said cause I kinda want an ele/dark type too
Also, I thought of this since Gen 4. I'd like to be able to choose what battle music plays for the other person when they fight me online. I think it'd be really cool. and if you're playing with a buddy right next to you and youre doing wireless instead of online, it'll pick at random. Just so we don't have to hear the "Trainer" theme each time. I dunno, it doesnt sound too hard to implement and would be a neat little customizable thing.
-
There should be more gyms this time. And a region to explore. I want the Gen 6 to be like Gen 2, where you can explore more regions.
-
I think if there IS a Dark type Gym, having it only open during the evenings until dawn would be a nice touch. Sort of hommage how the first Dark Pokemon could only be obtained at night in Gen 2 and partly in Gen 4. You know, it sort of brings out the mysterious nature of the Dark type moves.
-
I am a massive sucker for character customisation. If I can make my trainer look like me, I will be in love with it forever.
Bringing back partner Pokémon would be fantastic, I loved having them follow me, and in theory, now that its 3D you could just use the same models scaled down. They'd need some new animations though. The only downside is my girlfriend would go mad for it so I might end up having to buy 2 3DSs lol
I'd like the region to have a bunch of new Pokémon, but also feature some less common Pokémon from the previous games in higher numbers. I liked how they did this in B2W2, and loads of people were running things like Weezing on their main team, which would usually never happen.
And I'd like the story to happen in between the gyms, not nearly all shoved at the end like it was in B2W2.
-

Wow, I never even noticed this before but now I think about it you're totally right. This would definitely be a good idea, lately I've been using a random Pokemon generator to pick a Pokemon for me to train, I'm really into the idea of training Pokemon I normally wouldn't be bothered with and being pleasantly surprised, maybe even getting a new favorite.
I had no interest in Parasect before I trained one, but when I did I just instantly gelled with it, it didn't have great stats but I enjoyed using it anyway.

Ooh thought of another one.
A HGSS style menu on the touch screen. That game had the most effective and efficient use of the touch screen of any of the DS Pokémon games

I have to agree on that one. DPPt took out the Start menu as the button and you had to go to option to change what we were used to for about ten years. The C-Gear could have easily put in a Save function and a way to acess your Bag, especially in BW2 since you could only have one of each button on the C-Gear at the same time!
-

And bring back the on screen button to turn run permanently on. Holding B gets irritating at times.
-
They'd never do it but the bottom touch screen should show your party Pokemon and tapping them brings up a window where you can see their head in 3D and pet them and feed them items similar to Nintendogs or something. You could then manage their stats and other options from there. Of course switching their position would be as easy as dragging them to whichever slot you want. No trawling through menus.
Imagine your Gyarados cutely popping it's head out of the screen and being happy as you pat it on the head and feed it items. It wouldn't have to be too in-depth, but it'd be a really nice touch.

Gyrados cutely popping up? I know that the anime has shown a few Gyrados being shown to be gentle and knid but it's kind of hard to imagine it "cutely" moving it's head where you can see it fully and pat it. Gyrados have very large heads and in the show you have to reach to even touch the top of its head slightly.
-
Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 has exceeded my expectations. I want Pokemon X and Y to do the same with an even darker storyline: how dark and scary can the storyline go?
Though I would incline to agree on the customisation of character.
-
For the fossil pokemon, I want to see a Liopleurodon pokemon and an Acrocanthosaurus or Saurophaganax Pokemon.
It would be brilliant if, when you surfed, you saw the actual sprite for the pokemon... Surfing on a Liopleurodon based pokemon...
-

I thought Lapras was based on the Liopleurodon....

I heard rumors about a card suit based legendary quartet. Cobra with Heart shaped hood pattern, Tiger with Diamond shaped pattern, T-Rex with Spade eyes, Peacock with Club shaped tail feathers. I don't like the idea of another cobra, but the others sound REALLY cool.

The Cobra sounds a bit like an Arnok rip off. Arbok's hood was almost heart shaped

Woah. Cards. Pokemon quartet based on these.
I'll say bring back the Games Corner!
-
I loved the Hoenn Game Corner. Slots and Roulette. Wish there'll be Hold 'Em Poker. But it's not really possible.
-
+ I'd really like to see the HM Dive make a return, I think it would be cool to explore the underwater areas in 3d.
+ Pokemon following you again, I've always been a fan of this.
+ More pre-evolutions and evolutions for already existing pokemon, I think that's what let me down in Gen V.
-
I thought Lapras was based on the Liopleurodon....
No, it is based on a generic long-necked plesiosaur. Liopleurodon was short-necked. Mind you, one marine reptile which I prefer is named Pliosaurus funkei, aka Predator X. It was a Pliosaur which was around 11 metres in length and had an estimated bite force four times that of Tyrannosaurus Rex. I would prefer that as the fossil pokemon but I do not think it is particularly likely. I can dream though, right?

You an archeologist?
-
^Think so.
I agree 100% with Turner, that would be an amazing feature. That alone would merit buying the game XD
- Add pokemon from past regions. This worked fairly well in BW2, but some of them weren't placed in the best of places. Earlier Skarmory/Numel-esque stuff please? Actually, this is pretty much looking likely, as the original trailer featured past generation Pokemon...
- Bring B Button running back, indeed.
- Past gen legendaries like BW2.
- Battles that remain as fast as BW2 in terms of animation, otherwise shiny hunters aren't gonna be too pleased.

You an archeologist?
No, I am a student. My planned career is in paleontology... It is amazing how many people get paleontology and archaeology mixed up . It is mildly irritating. As is the sentence which often follows my remark that I wish to become a paleontologist...
But yes, this does somewhat explain why I am interested in what the fossil/ancient pokemon will be.
Plus Absol. The disaster pokemon needs to become the catastrophe pokemon.
-

Too much of Indiana Jones can do that to you. HOW could I forget paleontology? I'm sorry.
And yeah, I don't think Absol will get a new specie name. They've never done that before.
-
^ Forgiven. What I meant was that Absol, the disaster pokemon, needs to evolve to gain the species name catastrophe. And while they're at it, make a prevolution which is the incident pokemon.
-
Actually, I'm not interested in ANY evos or pre-evos of non-Gen 5 Pokémon. They seems...perfect.
-
Number one thing:
Stat rebalancing. I dislike the stat creep that's going up over the years, and I think that the older Pokemon species are getting needlessly replaced in every way by newer ones. Pokemon's strategies should expand, not so much replace, the previous ones.
Other than that, plot. I loved the plot from the last games, and I would love to see a deeper plot than the last.
-
But you never know another type could be what this game needs to make it better
-
A new type would be nice, but before you say "cyber" or "digital", let me remind you of the physics of computing.
Modern computing is based on the storage of on and off patterns electronically. Electronic. Electricity, as an element of the universe we live in, is already represented by the type Electric.
So there's no need for those types, bro. We've already got electric fun and robots in the form of the Magnemite family.
-
I wasn't going to say that. I'm thinking about the light thing
-
I'm thinking about Xerneas. In the trailer he/she comes out in a steel/“Light” form that is what I think Xerneas is going to be 8)
-
Customisable trainers, no online-only content like the dream world. I'd also love to see the pokeathlon return, was the only side-game I actually enjoyed.
-
I hope that they keep the TMs as being unlimited use. That has been exceptionally helpful
-

Alakazam, Cloyster, Dragonite, Dugtrio, Gengar, Gyarados, Jolteon, Ninetales, Starmie, Tentacruel, Vaporeon and Venusaur are all in the OU tier at the current moment.
Blissey, Celebi, Donphan, Espeon, Forretress, Politoed, Scizor, Skarmory and Tyranitar are also OU. So if we take the Pokemon from the first two generations, they make up 21 of the 51 Pokemon currently in OU. That rounds out to just about 10 per generation, sooo... it seems right to me. Some Pokemon are just better than others, and whether this is right or not (which has been discussed already), I just wanted to bring up this statistic.
Also, though generation 3 Pokemon only make up 6/51 of those Pokemon, Blaziken was banned to Uber, so that sorta makes up for it. P:
-
^ Problem with this is that there is technically no such thing as tiers, they are not official and are only applicable to people who use battle simulators instead of playing the game.
-

The only thing I'm saying is that older Pokemon have not been fazed out and made useless, they're in OU for a reason.
-
Some TV show in which one Dr. Rico Mender takes the calls of people with a problem of some sort and recommends a Pokemon that could help with said problem(s). Is there friction between you and your loved one? Looking for a way to spice up your battles? Have you tried everything to unclog your sink and it just won't work? The doctor is IN!
...I'm not the only one who watches the in-game TV shows, I hope?
-
Even Luvdisc and Dunsparce?
-
Luvdisc and Dunsparce weren't fazed out because they were no good at battling in the first place. =P
-
Customizable player character is generally on the top of most people's lists.
Personally, I'd like my starter to evolve into something decent this time around, preferably not Fire/Fighting. Not holding my breath though...
-

I always watch the TV shows if I go into a house, it's become one of those OCD things for me.
Also, I'm 95% sure character customization will be included this time around. I'm also fairly convinced they won't do ANOTHER fire/fighting...at least I hope not.
-
Maybe they're ending the Pokémon series by alienating all of the players by slowly making everything Fire/Fighting?
-
^Okay, I admit I chuckled a little. =P
Seriously though, I'd actually laugh if they did another Fire/Fighting starter, since it's no skin off my nose, but I really don't think they'd risk that four times in a row. Still, I think that typing is pretty awesome, so if we got one from a not-starter line I'd be all for it.
Alpha Fenrir mentioned fossils earlier, and I gotta say I've been waiting for a Triceratops Pokemon for a while now. The other choice could be a Tyrannosaurus, since the popular mental image is that they're at odds (at least last time I checked) Also, we need a third fossil Pokemon this time around, seeing as how you get Aerodactyl from Old Amber, and there hasn't been anything like that since.
ajeeth23, I'm with you on the Game Corner, but yeah, it stinks we'll probably never get it again. I like playing slots. :c
Oh yeah, I'm a sucker for trade evolutions. I know they can be a hassle, but the whole Shelmet and Karrablast thing has me wondering if older Pokemon will get new evolutions in the same way with Gen 6 Pokemon. Anyone for Croduck?
I want new type combinations. Do we need more Grass/Poison, Water/Ground, Fire/Fighting, Bug/Poison?
Don't forget Bug/Flying and Normal/Flying =P
On that note, though... I'm surprised we don't get people complaining about there being too many Water/Ice so much. Lapras, Dewgong, Cloyster, Spheal, Sealeo, and Walrein. I mean that's six right there. I dunno, it always felt like there were a lot more than that to me as a kid back in Red and Blue, so that's probably why it's just me that's making this point.
As for type combos I want, a decent Water/Bug and some sort of Bug/Dragon. Please, Game Freak?
-

I think we had our Ceratopsian in the form of Bastiodon. I really hope they stay well clear of the Triceratops - Tyrannosaurus Rex thing, the number of misunderstandings about those two are insane. And incredibly foolish. It was bad enough with Rampardos.
Another thing about the fossils; they had better not be rock again! I mean why?! It isn't as if ancient creatures were made of rock! Fossils are only rock due to mineral replacement! *Screams madly, then goes into hysterics*
-
I would find the game really interesting if the Team... whatever actually succeeded in their plans, and then you had to fix it after that happens.
Anyone up for a post-apocalyptic Pokémon game? Maybe I just play too much Fallout.
-
^You do play too much of Fallout. Kids wouldn't enjoy the post-apocalyptic game, it's too mature for them.
-
We don't need a Tyrannosaurus Rex. I am sure Tyranitar is our Tyrannosaurus.
Tyranitar= Tyrannical + Tyrannosaurus + another word.
Tyranitar
Tyrannosaurus
-
I think we had our Ceratopsian in the form of Bastiodon.
I knew someone was gonna bring up Bastiodon. Either that or Aggron. But Triceratops are my favorite dinos, so I dunno, just a thought. Not like I want a Tyrannosaurus anyway.
Also I'm pretty sure they'll always be part rock, so the better thing would be to hope that all Fossil Pokemon get some sort of alternate form that's more like how they were when they were alive... or something. Not that that's likely either, but hey, X & Y could very well surprise us.
-
I would also really hope to see an early ghost, dragon, or poison type, like before the 2nd or 3rd gym.
And I also found the Cilan, Cress, and Chili idea a smart one, so maybe on that is the SAME type as your starter. That would be even better.
-
An early Dragon type gym would be an awful lot to deal with. You barely get any good Pokemon in the early routes, it's more of Bug and Normal types. We were able to deal with Cilan/Chili/Cress only because we had the elemental monkeys. This would make it a whole lot worse.
-
^I didn't use the monkeys and I found the first gym pretty easy. :p

OH! My bad, sorry. :P
-
One thing I want to see in the game: The enemy of the day must be way worse than Team Plasma. And more nightmarish stuff in it. Black and White gave me what I expected, and more. X and Y needs to trump it up.
I want to see how dark and gritty Pokemon game series can get. In Black 2 and White 2 the protagonist was almost frozen, and Ghetsis is still abusive on N.
Also, I want to see a gym that does double battles and triple battles in the same region. And make every Pokemon fossil available in the game. And new evolutions and pre-evolutions of Pokemon that do not have evolutions or pre-evolutions yet.
-
I personally want a new breeding mechanic to get flawless pokemon easier to get. Some more feautures for the pokedex and make the flutes work again.
-
I personally want a new breeding mechanic to get flawless pokemon easier to get. Some more feautures for the pokedex and make the flutes work again.
The breeding mechanic has been in place since Gen 2. They changed a little in Gen 4. I think they need to give it an Absol-ute rehaul. Besides, I breed Pokemon to gather information and to train it for battles. And if I can get a flawless Pokemon there should be an equation that allows such a thing.
-
i formally request the return of the v.s. seeker for this generation.
-
I agree so much, really...we shouldn't even need it. It should just be a dialogue box that appears after a trainer NPC has said their normal text: "Do you want a rematch? >Yes >No"
And they shouldn't even change the levels of the NPC's Pokemon either, so you can actually train a low-levelled Pokemon against other low level Pokemon.
Just set it so they can't give out money again and save that for the gym leaders/rival battles etc.
I wish GameFreak would give some kind of emphasis on the early/mid level stages of a Pokemon. It sounds strange but the fact is once you get your first Pokemon up to around about level 50-60 training other Pokemon just becomes switch out -> switch in -> get exp. or even just using the exp. share.
Once you get one Pokemon to a higher level, you basically just race your other Pokemon up to that level too. I don't feel like there's a lot of time to enjoy Pokemon at their earlier stages, especially once you've beaten the league.
I wish there was some way to still make level 20-35 count. I find that range to be really fun to battle at.
-
PokeTransfer.
oh my god this mini game atm is so annoying and worse than that was PalPark.
Why can't we just select which ones over and send them all at once with no boring minigame -.-
