Today's games got me so heated

Why Nigeria didn't start Ameobi I'll never know. Dude was easily their biggest threat (not even joking either).

Pepe you donkey.

Dunno if I can be arsed with USA v Ghana tbh

also Balotelli asked "Why always me?"

what a legend

Odemwingie seemed to light Nigeria up a little more when he came on, surprised he didn't start the match.

shame they didn't win, they're a very good side. I also found out about Dzeko's story in Bosnia recently, was surprisingly hard hitting. I'll try and find it again later actually...

They look pretty promising indeed. To be honest, they mostly had quite the story behind them being in Bosnia during that time. Also, heard that Ibrahimovic could've opted to play for Bosnia...

That would be a really solid team with him (not that it isn't solid already), Dzeko / Zlatan up front :O

I can kinda see why he didn't, he wanted to stick with the team that were so successful in qualifying. Unfortunately the players just didn't step up on the big occasion.

The Zlatan Bosnia thing's blown out of proportion. His dad was Bosnian and his mother was Croatian, both had emigrated to Sweden before his birth and he had always been brought up there and therefore himself hadn't been through the hardship compared with the other Bosnian players (like Dzeko who, if it wasn't for his mother telling him he wasn't allowed to play football in the park, could have been killed in a kid). Seen a lot of people jump on the Bosnian bandwagon and subsequently have a go at Zlatan for representing Sweden and it's all a bit "ehhhhhhh" really.

Purely from a football perspective Dzeko / Zlatan as a strikeforce would be very good to see though, two very complete strikers.

Not having a go at Zlatan for not doing so, I just think it is more of a shame he didn't.

Some of the stories behind the Bosnia side though...wow.

Bosnia's qualifying record was decent though? Scored 30, conceded 6, won 8, drew 1, lost 1...pretty impressive. Still, I think they'll do well this year.

USA took the lead 29 seconds in, still holding on...oh wait, Ayew makes it 1-1.
