I stare at the ground below Siofra, and then extend my hand. I had recalled that as heat is vibration, it stands to reason that if I use telekinesis on the ground, it will raise in temperature...

"Hey. Siofra. Ever feel like you're in a heated situation?" I say, with a cold smirk.

I focus on the ground beneath my feet.  The vibrations grow more intense beneath them until small rocks burst forth and cover everything, from my toes to the base of my ankles, with a 'shield' of rock.

"Plenty of times, Nikki.  Out of curiousity..."  I raise my fists high above my head and bring them down to the ground.  It quakes for some moments - I hear some things falling nearby, perhaps plant pots or something similar - and I smile.  "...just how long can you keep up this trickery before you lose focus?"

"Oh, don't worry about my focus. Anything you attempt is... Predictable" I say, making every word count, but putting particular emphasis on 'predictable'. I levitate about an inch if the ground, via telekinesis, ergo being immune to the ground shaking.

\\ I think that threw her off a little, but she's too good to back down easily.\\

I shoot a column of flames out next to her, being careful not to harm her.

\\ Day magic. That should throw her off\\

I smile, but in a quirky way.

"I'm just wondering.  After all, if I've learned right, you are either using technique where you have something act as an anchor for this show you've put on - " I send a shower of pebbles in the direction of the Nikolai near me, who proves to be pretty evasive for an illusion - "or you're using your mind.  One fades when I find the source, the other when you can't keep it up."

I feel an intense heat nearby.  My skin shifts and hardens to protect myself from the heat and I smirk.

"And it all depends on time, doesn't it Nikki?"  I raise my arm and move it though the fire I feel nearby.  I see the sleeve of my hoodie set alight and burn.  My arm remains unharmed, save for the sweat that forms on its now rough surface.  "And time is something I have plenty of."

"Time, you say? I don't believe you do have plenty of it at all." I say.

I use divination to create a new illusion. A false image in her head, an image that its all to real to be fake. But it is. 

The illusion I've created, time slowing down to a standstill, her trapped in a paralysed time. No-one can see this illusion, bar her, as its all a false premonition in her mind...

\\ this should scare her... It's not harmful, but certainly terrifying\\

I wake up to Nikolai and Siofra fighting.

//I'm gonna stay out of this one.//

Just then, that accursed biomancer stands up and attempts to drain my energy, again. I catch him on fire, pull out my staff, then I charge. He smirks and lifts a hand to me. I scream as the energy leaves my body. The guy laughs evilly and says to me, "You! The one who walks both the paths of day and night! You are also not wanted in this world! Now, to finish the job...."

Suddenly, my staff glows a deep blue, odd, since I'm a pyromancer. Nonetheless, it catches Siofra, Nikolai, the biomancer and Chloe's attention. I find ((as in shake off)) off his hold on me. I attempt to use my staff to cast a fireball. I succeed, only, it's much bigger, and it's a violent shade of blue. It makes contact with the biomancer, he flies back an hits the brick wall again.

"I can't imagine that would be too good for your medical bills." I tell him.

//So, that's what Afi meant by amplified power, wait what about draining power?//

"So, to imagine this all happened in 1 day."

The man speaks, "You, all of you! Beware the one who walks both paths!"

Suddenly, I feel like I can't move.

//So, this is what draining power meant.//

I fall forward, not able to stand.

Time slows and stops in the alley.  I stay completely still.  I wait.

// If he wants to play the waiting game, that's fine with me. //

A strong magic appears somewhere nearby.  I can't see it, but I can sense it; it could wake the dead (no pun intended).  It's even enough to make the illusion shift, though it still stands.

"Perhaps we should resume this fight later, Nikolai."

// I don't like this.  Too familiar.  Too unnerving. //

I feel myself hit the dirt. Now I'm lying on the cold hard ground ((Cookies for those who get the reference)). Then, I black out.

I drop the illusion, seeing Siofra is right.

"Yes, perhaps we should." I say, as Edan collapses. I turn to the biomancer "What on earth did you do that for?" I yell, getting rather annoyed at this sudden attack. I launch a fireball at him, not really expecting much to happen, but displaying my annoyance nonetheless.

//The dark, it surrounds me. I can't snap out of it. This...power...I need to control it. That's it! I need to learn to control it! First, I need to rest.//

I breath slowly and shallowly, to let the others know I'm alive.

Now I'm lying on the cold hard ground

The area becomes distorted before the true seen comes back in view.  The younger boy is lying on the ground.  The biomancer he has some fresh burns.  I eye the staff next to Edan's body.

I try o get my mind off my ally who is lying on the floor

"Hey, Siofra. I know we haven't got off very well, but I think it may be useful to have a strong geomancer with us. So, I assume you have no-where else to go. Would you like to come with us?" I say, trying to sound cold whilst asking something apparently quite warm

"So what? I have a little fun and no one gets hurt." Matt takes a coin out his pocket and makes it float above his hand. He watches it as it slowly turns.

"You don't seem to be all that smart, either," She hissed at him, crossing her arms. The idea of perhaps becoming friends with this guy was beyond her now and she'd much rather hit him sometime in the future.
