it's been a while so... yeah.
i'm probably really out of practice, so if anybody wants suggest something then i'll give it a go.
depends how much free time i have, people can probably attest to the fact that my commitment capabilities are kind of awful.
here's the stuff i'm going to try for now:
mixes - only 2 pokémon please. if you want, you can specify which one should be the base. if not then i'll choose.

revamps - just tell me exactly which game sprite you're suggesting (bear in mind that some versions, e.g. gold/silver/crystal, have different sprites for each). can revamp gen I, II or III.

recolours - feel free to suggest a specific game sprite if you want, but you don't have to. i can recolour something as another pokémon, or in NEON, or swapped colours, or something else specified.

devamps - to gen I or II. these are just recolours/resized things really, but still.

stance swaps - putting one pokémon into the pose of another. i'll need the specific sprite that you want to be the stance, so which game it's from. these very often look deformed or weird. please pick two pokémon with similar body shapes at least >:

if you like the stuff i've made then feel free to use them in your profile, even if you didn't request them. you don't have to give credit unless you really want to.

*ahem* Anyway, howzabout... Phione mixed with a Shedinja, because why not. As for the base... I'm not fussed either way, whichever's easier/more fun for you. If you're going with Phione, though, please use its sprite from Diamond/Pearl/the Gen V games.

considering that i never even thought of revamping gen III sprites before, i think this went quite well:

to make the colours stand out a little more. against the grey of the forum background it looks quite nice... in my opinion, anyway.
basically just to emphasise the overbearing brightness of the colours, haha. the same reason for replacing the grey with black.

It would be wise to give people Credit for their work when using it. Even though you referred to mark in your personal message, it isn't clear that you are giving him credit for your Avvy.

nah, i'm not so fussed about having credit given tbh, unless it's pixel art i've made from scratch. this is all based on the nintendo sprites though, so it would feel weird personally to insist on credit haha.

you can do simple revamps just as recolours of older generations' sprites.
i tend to trace the outline in a bright colour, then delete the rest of the sprite (keeping a copy on the screen for reference). then i fill it in with flat colours and add my own shading, using the BW sprites as reference and using those colours. and then colour the outlines, which is the most annoying part |:

picked the silver one.
i like how the GSC sprites have some kind of third eye thing going on for ghastly or whatever its meant to be. probably not a highlight, as in its crystal animation it glows (ooh).
ah well, whatever it was, it was never seen again. so i didnt keep it in the revamp.

hmmmm ok.
resized and recoloured the blaziken gen 5 sprite, also made it a bit wider to match the 64x64 gen I tendency for large pokémon to take up the whole space. altered the shading and was pretty careless with the lineart to try and capture that vaguely-deformed nostalgic look.
for the gen II i changed the lineart again to make the sprite a wee bit more round, like on the face. which gen II kind of did with some pokémon from RBY, fleshed them out a bit, idk. also removed the cel shading and went nuts with the dithering.

ohhh man i went to town with this one.
no legs, birds dont have legs. but yeah i resized it and fixed up the wings, tail, beak and headdress to better match articuno as we know it now.
aaand now its half three in the morning, huh.
i'll probably add some legs at some point, but i like the curled-up sort of effect. yes. that's what it is.

also i think i'll try doing stance swaps again. aka putting a pokémon into the pose of another pokémon's sprite.
if you request one, please give me two pokémon.. for the one whose pose you'd like me to use, please choose the specific game sprite.

example! yeah it helps if both pokémon have a similar body shape/number of legs, e.g. putting ninetales into the pose of DP persian, like above.
as opposed to rather than requesting omantye in the pose of teddiursa or something :v
these look deformed a lot of the time though so be warned/amused.
