Title: Fire Emblem Echoes Shadows of Valentia
Post by: Makoto Niijima on January 18, 2017, 23:31
This was just announced on the Fire Emblem direct and it's coming out for 3DS.

I'm really looking forward to playing this as it's a remake of Gaiden which I have never played.

Yeah, it definitely looks interesting. I really want to here more about the world exploration and dungeon trolling stuff, that could really shake things up in a nice way.

Also the character designs are amazing and adorable, although i suppose thats par for the course with fire emblem.

I plan on streaming Gaiden around April. A bunch of people I know love it or hate it, it's kind of that kind of game. Also, I'm glad they got rid of that crappy character designer from Awakening and Fates. It'll be great.

With the character designer, you didn't even get much choice imo. So it was a bit useless.

Eh, i quite liked it. Then again, im a massive sucker for any character designer, no matter how basic. Like, just let me choose my hairstyle and colour and im happy.

When I said "character designer" I meant the dude who does the character artwork.

I also hope they get rid of the Avatar myself, but I'm strictly talking about the guy who did the art for Awakening/Fates.

Oh.

I disagree there too. I actually liked the designs in those games. Then again, i see that theyre a totally different style from the previous games, so i guess its a matter of preference, and awakening was the first i really got into so i guess i might be a little biased and oh god weve had this exact discussion before, havent we?
