Not sure where to put this.
Now that Virtual Console Gold and Silver have been confirmed, I want to be able to use one of my all time favourite movesets legitimately again. I don't know how good the type coverage of the moveset is though.
It is legitimately possible to get a Sentret/Furret in Gold/Silver with:
Dynamic Punch
Fire Punch
Ice Punch
Thunder Punch
How many different types does this moveset cover?

Normal
Grass
Water
Dragon
Dark? (weak to fighting if I remember correctly)
Flying
Ice
That's as many as I can name off the top of my head!

Team building?

I use this (https://pokemondb.net/tools/type-coverage) tool to work out how good a moveset is coverage wise - in this case you hit everything in the game for neutral or better. Unfortunately, the percentage super-effective will be a bit off as it has gen 1-7 pokemon, even tho the type chart can be set to 2-5.
Type-wise, what the above said plus Steel and Bug.

it doesn't cover fighting though, which you're actually weak to
-
^That doesn't really matter much when even non-STAB Fighting moves could do a number on Furret. But yeah, from what I'm seeing, it's not like Furret has many options for doing super effective damage to Fighting-types anyway, especially going by a Gen 2 transfer.
@Petzbreeder: Apparently, Furret gets access to Coil in Gen 7, which might help you use Dynamic Punch a bit more effectively... Just a thought. I do like the theme your moveset has going for it, though.

I was thinking that I could inflict a status effect on Fighting types with Fire/Ice/Thunder Punch to slow them down a bit, but I remembered that Pokemon such as Machop have the Guts ability. Combine that with Façade, which Machop among others can use, and I may be in a bit of trouble there!

Simple solution. Get a psychic type!

I know I should make a new thread for this, but since I'm asking pretty much the same thing about a different Pokemon, I figured I might as well ask here.
Tyrantrum, a Rock/Dragon type, can use Fire Fang, Ice Fang, Poison Fang and Thunder Fang. What is the type coverage?
I've found a few Tyrunt on Wonder Trade with this moveset before. Obviously, someone else thought this moveset was good, or else they wouldn't have given them away to other people.

That would cover:
Grass (thrice)
Ice
Steel
Bug
Fairy
Ground
Dragon
Water
Flying (Twice)
There's a lot of overlap in coverage here which is v inefficient. The reason you'll be getting those on Wonder Trade will be due to them all being egg moves that work with Strong Jaw, to give options, rather than because you should be using all 4. I'd imagine you're better of replacing Thunder Fang with Stone Edge (no longer SE against water, but are now against Fire and Ice, plus its a STAB move) or replace Ice Fang with Dragon Claw (no longer SE against Ground, but gain an easily spammable STAB move) or replace Thunder Fang with Crunch (lose water, gain Ghost, Psychic and increased power when neutral). Dragon Dance might be nice to fit in too.

You'd be weak to Fighting and Dark (sort of) with that team.
